"S-Sure." Kohhan agreed. "Let's go." He eyed the newcomer nervously.
Kamei looked around, acknowledging the awkward interaction and the silence in the air. The two snakes in Kamei's hair hisssed staring curiously at Rohaan, baring their fangs, sticking out their youngest. Kamei quickly reprimanded them hissing back.
"So where to," Leiko said looking back and forth between Rohhaan and the snake person. "Er," murmured with a looked of fear on her face.

Third Person POV
"SOMEWHAT FOOL IS WHAT YOU DESERVE, YOU PUNY WEAKLING!" Nisihikawa screeched in his ear. Then Crabclaw cleared his throat. "Oh! Crabclaw! You saved me! You're a total hero, unlike the pathetic creature next to me! Wow, how can I ever repay you?"
"Maybe by not calling me Crabclaw?" he offered weakly. "I'm Hideki Tachibana. It's nice to meet you, whoever you are."
"Hmm, I prefer Crabclaw." While Hideki sputtered, Nisihikawa released themself from Sujin. "Anyway, anyone wanna catch up to our friends and kick butt?"
"Kick our friends butts-?"
"Ehhh- no, I mean the person who sent this horrid beast after us."
"Snakes are an entirely natural phenomenon," Hideki pointed out. His brow was twitching with agitation. "There is nothing supernatural about what just transpired here."
"Pfft- now you're boring like Absolute Pathetic Fool here."
It just kept getting worse and worse.
Rohhan
"I suppose we should continue through the forest," he murmured, keeping his eyes on the snakes. "We're getting close, I'm sure of that. We should make an encirclement of around 30 metres in this section."
Hmm...
Something was very off.
Was there another aspect to this test that he'd missed?
Kamei glanced at the mouse boy, she shouldn't have done that, she should have waited to come out or said something different, Kamei thought to themself. It was a strange interaction, it had felt rushed to probably all three beings, Kamei acknkowledged.

Hideki
Nisihikawa swelled up with rage. "Excuse me? Birdbrain? Aggrkrkkk!"
Before Nisihikawa could fling themself at Sujin, Hideki stepped between the two. These two don't get along at all- "Let's focus, okay?"
"Yes, focus." Ash. Hideki stiffened. "Time is running out, you know~ Your beloved hostage may not live for much longer. Pathetic heroes, incapable of even rescuing their friend. So pitiful, perhaps I should give a hint?"
"No hints!" Nisihikawa snapped.
Hideki waved his arms frantically. "No! Hints! Yes, we need hints! Ignore Bird- er- Nisihikawa!"
Rohhan
"Ash is nearby."
And then a blast of black dust exploded from the bushes.
Eyes widening at the sudden burst of grime Kamei sputtered, quickly calling out her snakes and commanding them to scout the area.

"We are not! These two are the dummies."
Ash chuckled. "What's that?"
"Stop calling us that!" Hideki snapped at Nisihikawa. "It's not funny!"
But it was too late. Ash was already striding through the bushes.
Sujin looked back at Nisihikawa glaring, "The hints!" he quickly reminded Ash

Ash stepped out of the bushes himself, set in full gear, a breathing mask set over his face.
They were officially doomed.
Ash's quirk wasn't a particularly strong one, but his use of it rendered it terrifying. He could manipulate the carbon from his body. Sweep up some carbon dioxide and suffocate his opponents. Solidify it and render them immobile. It was a versatile weapon which could render unconsciousness, restrain, cripple-
And that smile on his face could only mean one thing.
From the ground, Rohhan finally got a word out.
"Run-!" he choked.
And then a blast of carbon was thrust towards them.
"Alright then!" Ash clapped his hands together. "The test is designed to ensure that all areas of herosim are covered." He raised a hand and began counting on his fingers. "Information Gathering. Rescue. Combat. Teamwork. And of course, Deductive Reasoning."
"Is that even a part of heroism, or just-?"
"Of course it is! You need your smarts to be a hero, silly." Ash smiled. "That area, is actually quite important in this test."
Confused Sujin looked around and murmured "So..."

They were very, very doomed.
Rohhaan vanished into the trees. Ash continued walking forward, towards them, approaching-
"Essentially, I mean you're the stupid ones." Then Ash's screen went dark.
Nishikawa sputtered. They whipped to Sujin. "See what you did? You made him think we're stupid!"
Leiko's eyes felt heavy and she began to gasp with every breath she started to slow, she cursed herself muttering under her breath about the horrors of life.

Hideki yelped, stumbling back. "H-Hey, guys-"
Ash's screen went dark with a loud cackle.
Ash stopped in front of her. "Are you captured?" he asked gruffly.

They crashed into Hideki.
Hideki stood between them, arms spread wide. "No more fighting!" He snapped.
Leiko crashed hard to the floor, feeling as if she had shadow traveled to the other side of the world and back multiple times. "Hm?" she mumbled feeling hazy. Her head dropped as her eyes shut. She fell unconscious, she tended to have low resistance to things.

Nisihikawa blinked, glancing back and forth. "Oh. It was an exercise."
"Obviously, dumbass," Hideki muttered.
Leiko lay on the floor, her uniform a little ratty and wheezing with every breath. Due to her low stamina she needs to push herself to try and reach new limits, her vision was still blurred and she was coughing uncontrollably. Leiko’s eyes were red and puffy almost like she was crying, although it very easily could have been the smoke.

"Hello, kiddins," he greeted.
"Hello!" Nisihikawa chirped, clearly not reading the mood.
Leiko jolted awake finding herself in the nurses office, her vision was blurred as she blinked at her dry eyes. She felt a hint of regret but not enough to cry, with a few tears trailing down her cheeks from her dry eyes. Leiko knewsomething was wrong why else would she be there? A trip to the nurses office, and on the first day, she had a rough start and the school day didn’t seem to end.
