Welcome to the world of Boku No Hero Academia (or My Hero Academia), a world brimming with criminal activity and unmatched heroism.

80% of the world's population has been granted a "quirk", a sort of supernatural ability that can give the wielder shocking power or a simple ability that will help them in day-to-day life.

When quirks first started manifesting, then those born with power began to seek more. People became fearful, scared, of these monsters. But then, people with such powers stepped forward. They chose to become Heroes, saviours straight out of the comic books.

You have the unique chance to be born into the turning point of this world of heroes and villains and choose your path. You can be a hero, fighting the bad guys, protecting the innocent. You can be a monstrous villain, destroying everything in your path and obtaining power beyond anyone's dreams. You could be in between.

The world is your oyster. Everything is your choice to make. Now, go forth, and choose your path.

Leiko was ecstatic that she had gotten accepted into the U.A, now she simply had to prove herself a true hero. It was early yet she was still rushing to get ready wondering what it would be like to actually get to U.A high school. After preparing herself she quickly ate breakfast, instead of using her quirk, she decided to walk. Leiko had to stay awake during classes, while she was still walking she remembered the rush she had felt during the entrance exam, being able to appear behind all the robots and rip wires out breaking them down. She waited outside the building for classes to start it was early after all.

Third Person POV

A person skipped along a path, chittering aloud to themselves in a mix of bird and human sounds. "Yes but chirrrr, and possibly I could steal the cheeee, or use a-"

Was it some poor attempt at censorment? A side effect of their bird quirk which peeked out of their high ponytail? Or possibly...

Their eyes landed on Leiko. They lit up, and in an instant, they were running over, trying to tackle her in a hug. "Eiiiiiii!" they screeched, arms extended, prepared to bowl her over-

Leiko saw somebody running towards her with a grin on their face, she was then hugged very tightly. She quickly used her quirk and appeared behind this stranger. Now curious and slightly awkward she walked in front of them and muttered the words "Who are you?" towards this person "And why are you here so early?" Leiko said with a blank expression.

Third Person POV

They gave a yelp as she vanished, leaping backward and nearly hitting her with the back of their thick, sharp skull. "Oh! Hello!" They turned to her with a grin. "You're my new classmate, right?" Their speech dissolved into chirps. "Me too! I'm in Class A. You?"

Without waiting for an answer, they turned on their heel, crossed their arms behing their back, and strode off towards the front gate, chirruping to themself the whole time.

"I guess so," Leiko said, "Sorry about startling you." she finished, she again vanished reappearing at the gates. "So, who are you," she said again very curiously. Lieko wasn't too fond of small talk but she had nothing to lose besides maybe this would develop into a full conversation.

Third Person POV

The person continued humming. The school was coming into sight. "Nisihikawa!" they chirped. "You?" They burst into a flurry of other noises, the feathers on their head bristling.

Other students milled about, hiking up backpacks or murmuring to one another. The noise all melded into a pleasant buzzing sound, like that of a fan on a hot day- Or in this case, a cool morning. Female uniforms consisted of stockings, and more than one person had earmuffs. Nishikawa didn't have anything, and their perky pace wasn't phased by the chilly air.

Hm.

A girl with a venus fly trap for a head hurried by them. She disappeared into the school entrance.

"Whole lotta freaks, eh?" Nishikawa commented. They giggled and chirruped a few times. "Gotta hand it to them.. getting into Yuuei with quirkies like thaties. Quirkies like thaties... hehe."

"Nice to meet you, Nisihikawa," Leiko replied, "It's Leiko," she said calmly while walking into the halls. She listened to Nisihikawa and said back "Not really freaks, just people who have appearances that are compatible with their quirks, like my brother for example his quirk is similar to mine only difference is he kinda sorta is a shadow." she continued to walk into the building while avoiding getting trampled over by the other students

"Eh?" They stopped in their tracks. "Shadows?" They squinted at her, their feathers ruffling on the top of their head. The bell rang in the distance, cutting clear through the crisp morning air. "That your quirk? I thought it was teleportation," they pouted. "So unfair. Yours is so cute."

They were leaning closer to her, mischief lighting in their eyes. "Wanna fight after school? We can take bets on who'll win~" They smiled charmingly.

"Not exactly, but you are very close," Leiko said "you see my quirk allows me to travel as a shadow and appear in any desired area, so pretty much anywhere. However if I travel too much or too far I get fatigued and risk fainting." she said calmly "It serves as a decent form of transportation.". "Also before we head into class I wanna say I'm up for anything, so maybe," she grinned.

Oooh? Mysterious~

"How about you agree now?" They let a casual smirk settle on their lips. "Then after school, we can play it out! See the superior hero!" To demonstrate, they pumped their arm in the air. Their fist collided directly with the doorframe.

Their face contorted.

"Owwwwwww," they whined. "Owwww, that hurtss..." They nursed it by their chest. "Did you do that? You did didn't you?" An idea sparked. "Now you've gotta do it! You hurt me, so you owe me a match later as a favour!"

Leiko watched as Nishikawa hit their fist, she let out a sigh and said "Fine after school it is, also I really doubt you hitting yourself was my fault." she smile and walked into class taking a seat and waiting for instructions.

The final bell rang. A flock of people poured in-

And among their number was Nisihikawa. Their eyes landed on Leiko and significantly brightened. "Hey! Hey, Leiko!" they hissed. "I'm here! I'm your classmate!" They waved their arms in the air like a lunatic, drawing more than their fair share of attention. "Heyyyy- Leiko-"

"Great to see everyone's making friends!" A cheerful voice piped up.

The students of Class-A turned. Was this their teacher-?

Oh- yes, yes it was. Ash, the Carbon Hero stood grinning in the school entrance. A Grade A hero. Number twelve in Japan.

"Sit down, kiddos! It's time for class to start!~"

Ash took his place at his desk. The students took their own, Nisihikawa more reluctantly. The teacher clapped his hands together, drawing attention back to him. "Welcome to the hero course, kiddos! Here, you're going to learn how to become super awesome pro heroes like yours truly!"

"I'll be awesomer," Nisihikawa grumbled.

Ash continued like he hadn't heard them. "Today, we'll start off with some personal assessments! I'd like to see all of your quirks and-"

Nisihikawa's feathers bushed out.

"In a controlled environment." Ash's smile twitched. Nisihikawa grumbled, but their hair returned to its usual unnormalcy. "I'll individually assess your potential and we'll figure out where to work from there. After Lunch we can start on some heroics!" He clapped his hands together. "Sound good, kiddos?"

Lunch, Leiko thought, after trying to forget she was hungry despite eating breakfast she wondered what tests would be taken to assess the student's quirks and their strengths.

Ash's smile grew downright blinding. Was he that used to jeers from his students-? "Great! Everyone, we'll do a roll call and then head onto the school grounds! First, Shirai Hajime..." He listed off the various names. Everyone was present.

When Nisihikawa's name was called, they scowled, looking away. "Here," they grumbled.

"Leiko Takachiho?"

While sitting impatiently Leiko heard her name during rollcall, "Present," she muttered, she only wanted to get on with the assessments, she wanted to know how much her quirk had increased in strength, how much better she had gotten at using it.

"Great!" Ash clapped his hands together, ignoring the subsequent groans from his students. "We're ready go then, kiddos! Up up, get up! We're heading out!"

Nisihikawa bounced over to Leiko. "Didja hear? Quirk assessment! Guess we won't have to have our Super Awesome Rivalry Fight Initiation after all!" They beamed with all their teeth.

"Nisihikawa, back in line!" Ash called, then muttered under his breath. "Jesus Christ that's a long name. I feel sorry for any poor saps out there who have to write it out five times for a roleplay post. Wait, a roleplay post? Eh?" He frowned, temporarily distracted.

Nisihikawa looped their arm through Leiko's. "C'mon! Let's go before he orders us around any more." They tugged her towards the door.

Leiko warily followed Nisihikawa, despite not doing much so far she was a bit sleepy. The walk outside seemed to have woken her up once the class arrived outside she waited for further instructions.
