"We are Sparkling Swirls, an
organization for both humans and Pokémon! We offer a school for
young Trainers, and a daycare service for Pokémon. Unfortunately,
we are closed to new enrollments at the moment."
Important Note (since people can't be bothered to read the rules and of course getting your Soul Badge is more important than actually contributing to the plot): Do not post here unless you have signed up and had your application accepted!!!!!

0. This should go without saying, but
all regular PH rules apply.
1. No legendary or mythical Pokémon.
2. There is a limit of 1 trainer and 1 Pokémon per person.
3. You cannot pair your two characters together unless you are faculty.
4. This is a semi-lit RP. There's no hard and fast minimum for words, but no one-liners, please!
5. No godmodding (making your character too OP), Mary Sues (entirely perfect characters with no flaws or weaknesses), or powerplaying (controlling others' characters).
6. You may not post here unless you have signed up and had your application approved by an Overseer.
7. Trolling or insincerity is strictly forbidden. All posts that don’t take themselves and this RP seriously will be reported to moderators and removed.
8. For the sake of your fellow participants' sanity, please use proper grammar and spelling (they will thank you!), refrain from using excessive chatspeak (nobody likes having to decode lots of abbreviations), and don't Capitalize Every Single Word You Type (many people find it distracting).

The Overseers have a role similar to a
Dungeon Master in DnD, essentially acting as the hand of fate. All
other participants act as the adventurers, controlling only the
characters they own, and responding in kind to the Overseers'
decisions. Once you've signed up and had your application approved, you'll
make a post that shows your character arriving to school or being
dropped off at daycare. Afterwards, an Overseer will make a post
that shows your character being welcomed into the school or
daycare, and give you your first RNG scenario.

"Hello there, Pyre! I'm Sparkles, and
I am the founder of the school. Nice to meet you! The classrooms
are down the hall and to the right, and the bathrooms and
broom closet are to the left. If you want to go to the
training arena, speak with the receptionist and ask for the key,"
explains Sparkles. "If you'd like to choose one of the Pokemon at
our daycare as your partner, simply ask
the receptionist what Pokemon are available, then make your
decision." The receptionist looks in Pyre's general direction,
and smiles at him. "But enough of that! From how you described
yourself in your application, it seems you'd be a great student if
not for your forgetfulness, and I wasn't sure what class to put you
in. Tell me, do you think you'd do better in Skills & Strategy
or Identification?" asks Sparkles.

The choice you make here will affect
Pyre's experience at the School of Battle. Choose wisely, but
remember this: if he does well enough in Identification, he can
graduate and attend a higher class.

into another classroom. “Oh, hey! We are a little short staffed at
the moment, so if you could sit and wait for around 45 minutes
while I teach Identification, that’d be great!” She walks into a
different doorway.

Classes go in the following order: Pokémon Basics, Identification, Type Matchups, Battle Basics, Skills & Strategy. Since Pyre is in Identification, he goes first, but as his owner is offline and could take a while to respond, I’m going to do a timeskip.
