Charmander fell on the ground, bruised and worn out. Kage lost no
time and knelt just beside, tending to Charmander's wounds and
praising the pokemon's efforts. Charmander quickly fell asleep, and
Kage stood up, one hand patting the pokemon's head.
"That was tougher than I expected. But a well-deserved victory
nonetheless," she pondered. Kage then wondered if they would find a
Pokemon Center in the city that lay ahead.
Kage: *to Taike, whom she saw nearby* I'm sure you'll have plenty
of chances to catch another, don't worry.
"One more time!" Colt shouted, a grin on his face as he finally
took down the Oddish.
"Excellent work Mareep, we'll have many more battles like that to
come." He looked over torwards Taike and Kage. "Good work by the
way, I'm sure you'll have better luck next time Taike."
Colt placed the fainted Oddish in a safe spot and gently pat Nareep
on the head.
Sunny silently watched the battles from a tree she had climbed,
learning what to expect from the Pokedex holders (bc technically
I'm not one :P) and their Pokemon. After they had all knocked out
or caught their opponents she slid down the side of the trunk
opposite the clearing and backtracked into the forest, just to be
on the safe side.
(As the group moves onward on the path, they reach a split.
Presumably they both go to the same place, but maybe different
things are along the way?)
ANAME: Should we split up or should we go the same way?
(The path goes North West [left] and North East [right])
If I'm online and don't respond, I'm probably busy hunting for the
missing semicolon (C++) Game of Mao
"I'm not sure Charmander can take on another pokemon, at least not
for a while," Kage thought, her fire partner fast asleep in her
arms.
Kage: The North West path looks somewhat quieter. I'd very much
like to join at least one of you there, but if you go the other
way, I shall follow. I don't think Charmander can battle for the
time being, so we're pretty much exposed...
ANAME: I kind of want to go the other way... But also I think we
should split into groups so that way we know what lies on both
paths. We all have battle-ready Pokemon, except for Kage...
*Pauses, thoughtful* Whoever's Pokemon is in the best condition
should go with Kage, and the other two should go North East.
(Aname checks the others stats on his Pokedex)
ANAME: Looks like me and Taike are doing the best. You can decide
though.
If I'm online and don't respond, I'm probably busy hunting for the
missing semicolon (C++) Game of Mao
"I'm in decent condition but I think one of you two should go with
Kage, I'll head North East with the other." Colt stated, not
wanting to push Mareep too hard.
"After all, as long as 2 people go each way they'll have backup"
"Then it's decided. I go with Kage, Cytokine hasn't taken too much
damage and knows Recover. In wars of attrition, I can help you
out." Taike gives a thumbs up, smiling while Solosis makes a happy
spin around it's own axis, starting to orbit Kage like a
satellite.
(The group parts, and sure enough, there are plenty of Pokemon, yet
less on Kage's route)
(Colt is confronted with a lvl 6 Grookey, who begins rapidly
striking the ground with it's stick [rng, that was fast. {Im using
a spinny wheel thing, Grookey has low odds}])
(Both Aname and Taike are confronted with a Sewaddle [Taike's lvl 5
and Aname's lvl 4])
ANAME: I can't use the same strategy as last time, it's a grass
type! Piplup, use pound!
[I will admit to purposely giving Taike a grass type like he
wanted]
If I'm online and don't respond, I'm probably busy hunting for the
missing semicolon (C++) Game of Mao
Sunny pauses at the crossway. They split up, and she can't go both
ways at once. After some thought she decides to take the North-East
path, because... well, she shouldn't dwell on that. Sunny pops her
Nidoran out of the Pokeball and slowly follows Aname and Colt.
Kage takes a step back, watching Taike and Solosis battle and
checking on Charmander from time to time, who's still asleep.
Suddenly, she hears some rustling sounds from a nearby bush, along
with a soft whimper. She comes closer and notices a little Deerling
(Autumn), visibly in pain. "Oh dear... How have you-"
Deerling flinches and looks at Kage with apprehension. Kage's smile
and reassurance manage to ease its nerves, however. Seeing the
bandages on the Charmander in her arms, the pokemon thinks Kage may
actually want to help, and that there's no need to be afraid.
Kage tends to Deerling's wounds, and the little pokemon rises on
its feet with ease. It looks at Kage and slowly and cautiously
nears in. A rub on its head and Deerling sways its tail
contently.
Thank you, Aname, for approving of this spawn. This is a special
case considering Charmander's inability to battle, and not the
rule.
