Colt and Mareep began their trip to the forest, rather curious to see what hid amongst the trees. "Well Mareep, it seems our best bet is to get some adventuring done in the forest. Hopefully some of the other trainers will be there as well..." (Colts 17 btw)

(Kage kept walking through the forest, curious as to what pokemon she would meet.)

Kage: Oh, isn't that Colt? *waves and comes closer* Hi! Seems like we've both taken the same route.

Charmander: *looking at Mareep attentively* Char?

(At the gate, the guard has fallen asleep, and the gate is noticeably easy to climb... even for 8-year-old Sunny [Giving you the opportunity to pass through, @MegaNidoranF])
(A little bit past the gate, Aname catches up with Kage and Colt. As he does, a Chatot flies down near Kage, an Oddish pops up near Colt, and a Kricketot pops up next to Aname)

[Note how most of the Pokemon make noise/music]

Mareep called out to Charmander, observing the other pokemon. Suddenly, Oddish and Chatot appeared much to Colts surprise.

"Oh! Looks like we've got some more company-"

"Ehhh, let me try along the way. If both paths cross at Rorstone, might as well head there. We'll return with a full Dex and maybe a Zytomega! Hehe, take care!" Taike laughed, leaving the lab with her Solosis and carrying it in her arms somehow, making her way into the forest, not far behind Aname and Kage. However, Solosis does make a few audible sounds.

(Imagine it's sounds being like... a theremin submerged in gelatine.)

(Each of your Pokemon are lvl 6, so you can use whatever moves that Pokemon can learn by lvl 6. Each of the Pokemon we encountered are lvl 4 and I will have the move they pick randomly chosen [if this method of battling is ineffective, I'll change it later.])

Charmander flinched upon seeing the wild pokemon, but soon the fire in her tail grew a tad larger, as if ready to face any unknown danger. Kage takes out the Pokedex and points it towards each of the new pokemon, even though she knew them very well.

Much to her surprise, Charmander hops off her shoulder and repeatedly uses Scratch on the Chatot of her own will.

Taike glares at the Gossifleur, hesitating at first. "What do you say, Cytokine? Our first battle shall commence!" Unfortunately, Taike mistook Solosis for something heavier, as she flings it into the battle, giving it enough force to crash into the Gossifleur. After the improvised Tackle, she apologizes profusely and requests a Confusion, which Solosis attempts.

(Chatot used peck! 6 dmg [idk how to calculate, dmg, I'm guessing])
(Gossifluer is now confused! 16 dmg done to goss [Goss has 18 hp])
(Goss used leafage! Goss hurt itself in confusion! 4 dmg [Goss fainted])

Mareep hopped into a battle stance, Colt nodding.

"I guess our choices are slim, let's take them on! You take Chatot, I'll get Oddish! Mareep, paralyze them with thunder wave!"

Colt scanned both with his dex, then choosing to focus on the battle

Taike and Solosis just shared the same look of absolute confusion, even more so than the fainted Gossifleur in front of them. "Does... does that count?" Taike asked, not sure about what just unfolded. She looks down at her Pokéball and tosses it at the fainted Grass-type, unsure if that would work.

You know the first rule in combat? shoot them before they shoot you.

Sunny grins as she walks by the guard, knowing he won't be up for a long while yet, and grateful the forest provides many trees for coverage. Nidoran happily follows, glad to be in it's origional home (also @Aname ty for the opening)

Kage: Alright then. Charmander, let's-

But the pokemon was in a complete frenzy. After taking the attack, Charmander banged heads with Chatot, and, just then, some fine lines of bright crimson gathered in the corners of her mouth.

Looking at her pokemon, Kage could recognize the fighting spirit that she hoped for. "She won't back down, nor withhold her power. Then, I can only do one thing...," Kage thought, assessing the situation before slightly narrowing her eyes.

Kage: Charmander, use Ember!

Charmander opened her mouth, blazing hot flames enveloping the bird pokemon.

"Mareep, tackle it!" Mareep dashed forward, smashing its body into the oddish which was sent flying back.

Colt looked at Charmander, thoroughly impressed.

"Keep going! We've almost got this under control! Ready up for another tackle Mareep!"

(I grabbed my Pokédex and get 5 poke balls and head out the route one where I encounter a bell sprout. Pidgey being a flying type easily takes down the half hop and I caught my first Pokémon. Route 1 leads to a city with the first gym. Don’t think my team of two can take it on yet)

Charmander looked back at Mareep, equally impressed with the other pokemon's skill. Flashing her baby fangs at Chatot, she prepares for another Ember, determined to fight till either victory or exhaustion.

Kage: Good! *looking briefly at Colt and Mareep, then back to Chatot and Oddish* We've got this. Let's lead our partners to victory. Charmander, use Ember!

Charmander complied, bouncing at full speed and attacking Chatot from above.

Meanwhile, Kage glanced at Taike and Solosis, unable to contain an amused and surprised face. "That's some strategy I wouldn't have thought of," she said to herself.

Taike, with a disappointed face, picks up the Pokéball. Solosis felt a little upset too but then got a pat on it's gelatinous head. "Don't worry, it was my fault. Next time, we catch it for sure!" Being a little honorable, Taike picked up the fainted Gossifleur and laid it under a small tree, before returning to Kage. Her Solosis just floated around, making it's wobbly theremin noises.
