Suko gave Keiki a sad smile. "That's not enough, Keiki. I'm sorry. I- I need to know that Femi's killer will be brought to justice. I can't say why, but-" They gulped. "I just need it to happen, okay?"
Niwa's insides twisted. He didn't know what to say to that.
"The people who killed Femi and Amano are one in the same. There is only one killer." Hisoka was staring at Suko. Something glittered in his eyes, the full pupils shimmering like black pearls, set in an amber base. He repeated, "There is only one killer for them both." Then he turned away and stared at the wall he'd been staring at this whole time.
He felt a stirring of unease. What did Hisoka mean by that-?
Suzume Fujimori's POV
There were far too many possibilties for what could be going on. "They're both the same killer... Hisoka, how can you be so sure?" she asked, her eyes shifting as she searched his expression. Did he know something... somehow?
Kowai Kurai's POV
Suzume frowned. "That... is possible, yes. But who could've lied to Femi? About what? In that case?"
Kowai shrugged. "I'm not sure?"
Suzume sighed in frustration. "But... if someone lied. Was it the killer? What would they lie about? Did... they lure Femi into a room to kill him?"

"Everything is going to be okay."
Niwa Atsushi
Niwa was interested too. He watched Hisoka carefully.
Hisoka blinked a few times. "That is none of your business." He continued staring at the wall. But he couldn't stop Niwa from detecting a flinch. His posturing was stiff, gathering defenses. Hisoka was in fight or flight mode.
Niwa's attention was drawn by "Sciencer" (who called her that again?) and Kowai. "Yes. Femi had to write it. We all gathered in the room after- no killer could've feasibly cleaned themself from ashes in that time."
That also brought up another interesting question.
How did the killer leave?
Niwa had an interesting answer to that.
Narrator
"Eh?" Monokuma looked up, and set a nail-filer aside. "Apologies apologies~ I'm just the replacement! I have more faults than your usual beloved Headmaster~ Upupupupu~ You want to know the rules about accomplices-?"
"Yes," Niwa said quietly.
"Well then! Let me think." Monokuma tilted his head to the side. "Hmm. Only one accomplice is permitted. If three people found a body, the Body Found notification would go off!" He grinned. "And an accomplice can't graduate with the Blackened. You need to be directly responsible for the death."
"So basically, the accomplice is treated like the other students, and only one is allowed before it becomes an official body discovery. As for the motives, and the writing... The writing had to have been by the killer. Not only would Femi not have time to write it, but if he did then he'd most likely have written something to actually help the investigation beyond vague illusion."

"Femi was locked in the room," Niwa pointed out. "He definitely would have had time to write it. And the chars in the cracks suggest it occurred during the fire."
He looked a little annoyed. Niwa had been more bold lately- even aggressive.

"I- s- you mean- they were?" Niwa's head spun a bit. "But why?"
"They couldn't have been," Suko interrupted. "It was still going when we came." Does she mean... the bat? That was a disturbing thought. Did Megami think the bat had been planted on Femi following death?
"Why would the killer plant the bat on Femi? Why tie the two deaths back together if they wanted to live?" Niwa asked. "Why not just confess, if they want to die?"
"They might not have known about the rule," Hisoka mused. But his eyes narrowed. "Or there may have been another reason..."
"The bat wasn't planted," Suko said firmly. "It was in the room when we headed in. And the fire damaged it. Only Majikaruman could have placed it there." They cast a dark look at him. "Which would be incredibly stupid of him to do."
"Still..."
Hisoka Yamanaku
"Lunchtime," he replied. Oh Maji, I don't want to decieve you... please be quiet. You'll live this way. "1230, I believe." He bit his tongue.
He needed to be quiet.
He shouldn't create an alibi for himself. Not yet.
Niwa Atsushi
"I was with Keiki..." As per usual. He felt a tingle of dread at that for some reason.
Hisoka Yamanaku
"...Perhaps alibis are not-" he trailed off, glancing at Suko. "They were alone, were they not?"
Third Person POV
"I see." Hisoka's amber eyes revealed nothing. "Well then. Shall we discuss the other details of Femi's death?"
"Wait." Niwa raised his hand. "We haven't clarified on the bat."
Suko scowled, huddling in on themself. Niwa glanced at them and faltered.
"We also never clarified on the writing, despite the obvious clue it holds. The only people here who go by They/Them pronouns are Keiki, Niwa, and Suko. One of those three is tied in. We can't safely eliminate Suko, but the other two are definitely more likely to be involved."

"Me? Keiko?" Niwa looked positively nauseous. "Oh- oh, I don't like that at all." He shivered, rubbing his upper arms.
Suko scowled and looked away. "I just want to get out of here alive," they muttered.
Hisoka flinched at that. "That's a good point," he mused. "Ah-" his eyes lit up. "What reason could there have been for that, if not an indication of the murderer?"
"Or trying to frame someone as the murderer," Niwa mumbled and was silenced by a glare from Hisoka.
Something suddenly came to mind, something that I happened to overhear about for roleplay's sake. Hisoka seems to know a lot about this, Suko is tied in at least by connection to Femi and possibly by pronoun, and didn't Hisoka talk to someone about something involving Suko? "Koda, did you have any... interactions... with Hisoka lately?"
