Suko smiled broadly. "Good thing too!" they exclaimed cheerfully. "Because how else would you defend yourself?" Without another word, they slipped by him and started for the whip.
They took it in their hands and examined it. It was startlingly sharp, even for a weapon meant to leave welts- the handle was finely carved in intricate shapes and layered with velvet. It widened and then flattened sharply at the end to give the holder a strong grip.
Hm. Interesting weapon.
They let it drop from their hands, then turned promptly to Femi. "I'll be sharing your dorm," they declared out loud. "Together, we're going to be besties and take over this school!"
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hm. Either this girl was a lot smarter than he'd given her credit for, or she was the slowest person he'd ever met. Both seemed to fit her- she was as unpredictable as water and twice as slippery.
"By telling you, I would undermine the purpose," was his curt reply. "Figure it out on your own time. We've already made the deal." He started past her, confident she would follow. She didn't have a choice, after all.
Amano Tetsuo
"I'll come," he piped up, stepping forward before Niwa could volunteer. He didn't want her to be alone- certainly not without someone he hadn't a proper reading on.
Niwa gave him an odd look and nodded, turning to Koda and... a now gone Nakata. "We should... probably go after Nakata-san. And work on finding a way out of here." Amano's unease only swirled in his chest now- almost a nauseous feeling. Niwa was hiding something. He just knew it. Something about how his speech was held back... cut off, even...

With that, we dispersed. I went down one hall, searching for plants. I could turn up some decent plants, but most of them were poisonous berries that I had learned about after the Pokeweed incident. God knows how many safe plant's i'd turn up.
Buraddo Jemu
I decided to go scouring for supplies and weapons. Never know what might happen, so it'd be best to stay prepared.
Majikaruman Dōseiai-shadearimasu
In a puff of smoke, I disappeared and started sneaking around the school, keeping hidden whenever a student was to walk by. I'd done this a million times.
Suko Nobu
What's the point of taking over the school?! What's the point?! Suko couldn't believe that such a cute face could mask such dimness! World domination was always on the priority list, even if they had been just thrust inside of a killing game. Upon which Suko was pretty sure they'd all die.
"Awww, you're kidding, right?" They flashed a grin at his dumbfound expression. "Obviously, we need to take over the school. World domination's impossible now that we're locked in here, so we gotta take what we can get!"
Suko would call that a quality explanation.
"Now, let's start locking up our evil lair! You had the right idea in blocking off the door, cutie, but we gotta take over some more rooms!"
Third Person POV
Hisoka and Kowai continued down the hall, their footsteps echoing in the narrow enclosed space. Click. Clack. Click. Clack. Hisoka's hand found one of his pigtails and unconsciously tugged on it.
The place was definitely creepy. And not just because of all the borded up windows- no, there was far more. Everything seemed to give to the aura of ominousness.
The rattling vent overhead.
The shadows creeping in in the dimly lit halls.
And most unfortunately, the blood dripping down at the end...
Hisoka stopped.
"What...?" he hissed. He started forward, nose crinkling at the smell of-
Water. There was a large water stain on the end wall. Only the shadows had given it the crimson light it had possessed. A low growl started in his throat. What the hell...?
An entire wall was blown up. Behind it was a clearly flooded bathroom.
Hisoka's heart stopped working.
"Is that MY room?!"
Amano Tetsuo
"Then I'll go with you all as well. It's not safe for any one of us to be alone."
Amano gave a nod to Nagisa.

Suko Nobu
Suko fell backward, their head whipping around to face Femi. They stared at him for a solid minute. Then they gave a scoff. "Who doesn't wanna take over the world?" Uneasiness crawled in their stomach, but they cut it off with a giggle that sounded more like a dying rooster. "You get to make the rules! Everyone's gotta listen to you!"
Too stilted. He'd catch on if Suko didn't create a distraction.
"Non-world-domination aside, I can totally get with the 'locking our stupid asses into a small secluded room thing'." They smiled mischievously. "You're super cute. I'm so glad you're flirting with me." DISTRACTION INITIATED, BLUSH MY ADORABLE NEW BEST FRIEND!
Third Person POV
Hisoka didn't seem to hear her. He fell to his knees, staring into the room. His hand ran idly through the water. Then a loud splash echoed through the corridor. His hand was clenched in a fist.
He leapt to his feet, eyes blazing.
"WHO'S THERE!" he screamed.
Amano Tetsuo
Oh- His eyes widened slightly. O-kay.. That's a little worrisome. He laughed nervously. "Yeah, uh... Thanks. I appreciate your admiration, Nagisa-san!" He thrust out his arm and chopped the air. "You are a worthy friend as well! I am glad that you are trying to keep us together and safe in this troubling situation!"
Niwa looked very nervous now. "Uh... are we going or not?"
Femi Davis's POV
"I-I mean..." He decided to ignore the other part of what they said. "Why, yes, thank you," he grunted sarcastically in response about the whole "secluded in a room" thing. "It's called "Don't Get Brutally Murdered By A Bunch Of Strangers". Pretty good plan." Suddenly, he realized he wasn't talking all that nervously to this... this stranger that was claiming to be his best friend.
What was he saying?! He couldn't trust this weirdo! He stiffened immediately. "I mean- and you're included in that list!! I don't even- know you!" Ugh... gosh, he was such a mess. The first time someone was actually maybe being nice to him, and trying to be a friend to him... he'd never... even known something like this.

Third Person POV
Suddenly, every speaker in the building rang out.
"ALL STUDENTS ARE TO REPORT TO THEIR DORMS! BEDTIME WILL BECOME ACTIVE IN 15 MINUTES AND ANY STUDENTS FOUND LOITERING WILL BE LOCKED OUTSIDE THEIR ROOMS!"
Femi Davis’s POV
He didn’t feel comfortable with the idea of sleeping in this room with his probably insane roommate. Roomm- How could he think that?! He didn’t even- augh. Forget it. He collapsed onto the bed facefirst and tried not to burst into tears again. This whole situation was so stupid, and awful, and hopeless…
Kowai Kurai’s POV
Admittedly, she was curious about who had done this. But it wouldn’t be safe to be wandering the halls at night…
Suzume Fujimori’s POV
She paused. “I don’t really know you all that well, but it’s most likely unsafe to bunk alone. And you don’t seem like the type of person to kill me for no reason, so- would you be willing to bunk with me?” She had a very intent look upon her features as she asked.
Rather awkwardly, she shuffled her hands into her pockets. This was honestly a most awkward question… she and Megami were not even acquaintances, much less friends, they were little more than strangers. Better little more than strangers than total strangers, she mused.

Suko Nobu
"Naw." They shot him a smile. "You're too cute to pass up." You do look kinda boring though, they thought, eyeing his inert form on the bed. Boring or depressed. Both of which Suko does not do very well with.
They wrinkled their nose.
Never refer to themself in third person again. Please. That was weird as hell.
Suko walked over to the bed on the opposing side of the room and after regarding it for a few seconds, sat down on it. They pulled the blankets up onto their legs, tearing it loose from the bedframe.
Then their mind blanked.
"Why are we going to sleep at like... 10? Are we children? Or responsible- no-" they correct themself. "Totally irresponsible teenagers with no social lives?"
Hisoka Yamanaku
Through his fury, he could hear her words. The reasoning. The twinge of mock. He didn't like it. Feeling stupid. Powerless.
He bit his tongue and forced a smile on his face. It felt like he was pushing an anvil, instead of the corners of his lips. "You speak sense. We could very well be killed if we do not stay in locked rooms."
Or the other way around too, his useless brain happily provided. Poisonous gas could easily be unleashed on you in revenge for this morning- and get no one else. Any one of those happy-go-lucky fools could- and would- do it.
"Thank you Miss Kowai, for speaking sense." He pushed himself upward. Tomorrow... tomorrow he could figure this out. "Shall we be going, then?"
Amano Tetsuo
Amano opened his mouth to reply, but Niwa was already off, running down the halls. Amano stared at him. He quickly snapped to attention. "We should be fine," he assured. "We should take care of ourselves. The speakers are probably put in most of the halls- if that stupid bear was as thorough as he claimed. She'll hear and know we did too."
He smiled confidentally, even though he felt less sure inside. Monokuma might want a few of them to be isolated, outside their room. It would inspire the killing he was so excited about.
Amano shook off his thoughts. Thinking that wouldn't help anybody. They all needed to get out of here and they could and would all trust each other.
Then it hit him. He believed in these people. They would live. They would work together. No matter how eccentric, how volatile, how cruel, he believed they wouldn't hurt each other. They were capable, each and every one of them, and that was something he could take confidence in.
His smile became more genuine.
"Everyone! Please head to your rooms!" He clapped his hands together. "Tomorrow we may gather in the cafeteria. And escape from this school, once and for all!"
She woke up, after over hours of unconsciousness.
She missed alot, and was fearful it could lead....
Quickly the thought was brushed off, she listened to the teddybear.
When she was grouped, she didnt listen..
But she knew she was in a group, a name was heard.
She walked off to her "group" dorm, unsure if the right one.
She wasn't clear of what to do..
But slumped in bed, and once again...
The lights turned out...
All black...
Suddenly the lights turned on, worlds upon worlds revealed.
She was on a small island, with a farm.
Where she was born....
" It's this dream again " she mumbled.
A farmer walked up to her, " Welcome back " he whipsered.
" Why do I always have to stay here, with you....? " she answered.
" Side effect, the day you were made." he said.
" It didn't just effect from..you know..." he ended.
" Oh, I see... " she said in a whipser...
then it went black again.
Flow
They stood up, didnt move.
" No. " they said.
And walked away without a sound.
Femi Davis’s POV
He coughed, considering what the person had said, now, and earlier. “Are you… flirting with me?” He narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms. “Th-that’s… so weird.” He almost laughed, but he stifled it, clapping his hand over his mouth.
Someone bothering to flirt with him, huh? That was- really odd and unusual to say the least. It could be manipulation. “You’re… funny, Suko.” Great, compliment the weird person. Maybe it’ll get them to not kill you. But he couldn’t suppress a small smile.
Kowai Kurai’s POV
But then she felt a twinge of worry at what she had said. If Hisoka died, she’d be the first suspect. Of course, he had said that earlier. On the other hand, if she died, Hisoka would be the first suspect… curious. She had a feeling, however, that Hisoka wouldn’t kill her.
It didn’t feel like he trusted her, certainly not. But he might not want to kill her, at least not yet. Kowai was uncertain as to how she had reached such a conclusion, but she did feel strangely certain that it was true. All the same, she should probably try to seek out more allies in this place than just Hisoka.
Suzume Fujimori’s POV
Nagisa Aoki’s POV
But she felt queasy, hands shaking, trembly… What if not everyone made it back to the dorms? Nononono… That wouldn’t happen. There were worse things to worry about, but it’s not like such worse things would happen…
“I- I think I’m heading to my dorm. You coming, Amano?” he asked, trying not to show her nervousness. Things would be fine. They’d be fine…

Suko Nobu
You're very funny, Suko.
They blinked slowly. That... was kind of nice, actually. Was the cutie trying something?
Suko inched their head across the pillow. Shielding their face with a hand, they examined him. No blushing. But he did appear to be smiling. Instantly, their ice-cold heart melted. Oh my god, that is adorable. They passed a hand over their face to hide their own smile.
"You're gonna make me go soft." They laughed. "Good night, Femi." A flirtatious purr edged the words. "I'll see you tomorrow~"
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hisoka's expression remained calm and still. Elegant and poised, like a Yamanaku's face should always be. Not a hint of weakness allowed past, even and especially for snakes who wanted you in some way. Money... or life-wise in this case.
"I expect you will still try something." A low growl. Even. No wavers. "But be warned that I will always do my best to defend myself. You will not be manipulating me into dying for you. Believe me on this."
His eyes met hers.
Then he straightened up.
"Let's go. We can share your dorm for now, seeing as how mine has been destroyed. I hope your dormmate does not mind."
But as he said this, he felt a prickle of unease.
His dorm...
Something was off. The portrait on the door... the last remaining stand...
It was clean of ash. Of any damage whatsoever. As if someone removed it from the danger zone, wiped it purposefully clean, then left it there.
Someone besides the Ultimate Jeweller might not notice. But Hisoka was an expert at catching forgery. Smarred glass, stained with fingerprints.
He gave a curse, lifting his shoe as if he'd stepped on something sharp. He kneeled down to "examine the damage".
As subtly as he could, he swept up the small portrait, jamming it into his coat's pocket.
He plucked a stray shard of glass from his shoe- luckily he hadn't managed to avoid them all-, enclasping it in his fingers to hide the actual size, before flinging it across the room. A little tinkle sounded... one which the Ultimate Jeweller recognized as natural glass (none of that artificial stuff) against plaster (definitely of the artificial variety). Then he stood up.
"Shall we?"
Niwa Atsushi
The annoying one blinked, apparently coming back to reality. Then he grinned widely and pumped his arm in the air. "Yes! We will go! Rest is vital to one's health, particularly in teenagedom! Everyone, please do your best to get some sleep tonight! Escape may prove to be difficult, but if we put our working minds together, we can surely do this!"
There was something about his voice that could put a smile on the sullenest teenager's face. Niwa found it creeping up on his own. Some sort of tone that he had- Was this the power of the Ultimate Director? Inspiring people to action?
He couldn't say he disliked it. He bit his tongue. Should he pray for the Director's safety, or an early, quick death without the mental strain the rest of the students would experience during a Killing Game?
You could always kill him yourself. Niwa masked a snort. Yeah right. He intended to get out of this hellhole alive.
"Who wants to bunk with me?" he asked aloud, glancing around at the people in the room. The girl from earlier who'd knocked herself unconscious seemed slightly unstable- he wasn't sure that was a good choice. Megami seemed quite resigned. And the Ultimate Scientist had such a creepy smile...
He sighed. "I'll go with anyone who's willing to go with me." Not like there was any good option among this large assortion of terrors...
As he thought this, Amano broke off from the rest of the group, heading for the hallway.
Femi Davis's POV
Maybe he should be grateful, at the thought of his first one. He sighed. But he wasn't sure he could trust anyone so easily...
Kowai Kurai's POV
"Oh, Hisoka! I'd never think of doing anything," she chirped cheerily. "Don't you worry about it! You can trust me!" She knew that was as much of a lie as that you could trust a dog not to eat all your food while you were away, or an untrained cat not to catch a nearby mouse. "We're friends, don't you worry!" But she got the feeling he did worry. Everything about him seemed to worry...
Suzume Fujimori's POV
But the whole time, within her mind... she pondered over the situation at hand. How could one cafeteria meeting fix everything, when no one was at ease? She had a strange feeling... a very strange feeling... one of the students would be dead by tomorrow. And she didn't doubt it...
Nagisa Aoki's POV
It seemed everyone might be falling apart... already...

Hisoka held back a retort. It wouldn't do to antagonize the girl- no, he needed to earn her loyalty. And her trust.

Amano looked away from her at that, biting his lips and flexing the tips of his fingers. He looked uncomfortable for some reason- like he wasn't sure if he could fully trust her. That was strange- certainly he of all people wouldn't change his mind after making a loud exclamation.
"Sure," he said quietly. "That sounds good, if Niwa wants to."
He glanced at Niwa. The boy gave a brisk nod, but he didn't look much happier than Amano.
"Then we'd better get going. We've spent too long here- we'll get locked out of our dorms if we waste time."
