Koda raised an eyebrow. She rolled her eyes. What a strange kid. Sorta funny. They'd be my friend if I asked, right?

Suko pushed themself off a shelf, landing on the ground with an oomph. in a second they were up again, hurrying towards the other students. They helped Keiki up, then turned to Hisoka and Koda.

Hisoka stood up on his own, but had to catch himself on the wall. He gritted his teeth together.

Suko watched, amused. Hisoka glared back, and forced himself upright. "Where are we?" Pain made his words curt.

"Dunno." Suko shrugged. "Hoped you could tell me."

"Why didn't you wake the rest of us up?"

"Didn't work."

Hisoka opened his mouth to speak again, but Suko was already bounding towards Koda. "Hey, wolfgirl!" He chirped. "Need help up? No problem if you do~"

"Em.. Sure." Koda gave a slight smile, trying to look friendly. She hoped that she wasn't baring her teeth in a somewhat vicious expression, but she had a smile, friendly, on her face.

Whatever it was, it seemed to work on Suko. Their smile grew blindingly bright. "Great!" They singsonged. Then they seized her arm and yanked her up to her feet.

Electric blue eyes were open and friendly as they studied her. "Do you know what's going on, wolfgirl?" Suko asked curiously. "You all were asleep in here when Monokuma brought me here. I think he knocked you out?" Suko tapped the side of their mouth, visibly thinking. "Hmmm. Was it gas? That sounds like a Monokuma thing to do."

"Probably." Koda rubbed her hands together. Suko's eyes were hauntingly similar to that of her siblings. Without realizing, she began to stare, blue and green eyes, straight into Sukos. She looked away awkwardly. She didn't do that often.

Suko's eyes widened dramatically. "You have heterochromia!" They exclaimed. "How... wonderfully edgy!" They tried to peer at her face. "Blue and green, eh? Hmm... sea! Blue and green make up the sea!" They grinned, delighted with themself. "Sea eyes!"

"Regardless of Koda's- er- 'sea' eyes, I feel like there is some very important business we must address..."

"Aw come on, lighten up! You don't see heterochromia every day. It looks really nice!"

"Hmmm, how rare is heterochromea? One in a thousand? One in a bajillion? Frick yes, it's a super cool big deal!" Suko clapped their hands together.

"It's 1.1%."

Suko bliked at Hisoka, then grinned. "Yeah, that number! Don't downplay it, Koda, that's a super rare thingymajig!"

"If you continue massacring language the way you are now-"

"Yeah, yeah," Suko waved him off with a filppant gesture. "Got it, got it." Then they fixed Koda with a smile again, waiting expectantly.

Suko's facr visibly brightened. They rocked back and forth on their heels, arms swinging dramatically by their sides. "Well!" They jumped, spinning around. "Wanna search this place? The others might not wake up-"

"Hold on ," Hisoka interjected. Suko paused. "I need a serious answer. Were you knocked out with us or not?"

Sillence.

Then Keiki's waking groan pierced the air.

"Oh! Green-eyes is up!" Suko promptly dived to their side. "Green eyes! Cutesr cutie to ever cute! Can you hear me? Do my words touch your ears?" Suko poked the side of Keiki's head meaningfully.

Koda closed her eyes. She sighed, thinking about her family. She didn't notice but she began to tear up slightly. She looked down at around her elbow joint, at a long scar.

Hisoka tracked her gaze. He tilted his head at the scar, then looked back up at her face. "Something meaningful to you?" His voice was less gruff than usual. He looked... shaken, almost. Because of his dream, or...?

Koda grabbed her arm quickly. "Emm... yeah." Koda winced as she remembered when she'd cut herself on a branch, when exploring with Astro and Skii (Sky). It was the only symbol of her family she had left.

"Mm." Hisoka seemed to lose interest. He instead gazed off at the enormous mahogany door which towered at the opposite end of the room.

One wall held Suko's shelf. The other the door.

Hisoka frowned.

"Why were we brought here?" He asked aloud.

Suko stopped bothering Keiki for a second. "Finally!" They exclaimed. "I've been asking that this whole time!" Their and Hisoka's eyes met and exchanged a not so pleasant look.

Koda noticed the look and turned towards Hisoka, growling menacingly. She mouthed the words 'Be nice.' She curled her lip at him, doing her signature 'scowl'.

Hisoka glared right back, not cowed. Just try something, his eyes seemed to say. And then his gaze shifted and he almost appeared... sad. He turned to the door, continuing his watch over it.

Suko gave Koda a helpless shrug, then returned to pestering Keiki's inert form.

Many of them were awaking. Groans poured from throats. Hisoka grimaced at each one. Niwa propped himself upward and glanced confusedly back and forth. Recognition sparked in his eyes.

"Hope's... Peak..." he mumbled.

"Glad to see you've all joined the land of the waking!" Suko clapped their hands together. "Morning, kiddins~"
