"Everything is going to be okay."
"Is everyone ready to eat?" hisoka asked.
"Shouldn't we ration it?" Niwa questioned.
Hisoka glanced at him. "We'll need our strength for the days to come. We can request more from Monokuma."
Suzume Fujimori's POV
"Cannibalism? I'm not that surprised... we might have to at some point!" She was only half-joking. "We might not even live to ration it," she said darkly. "Or... we might need to ration it less soon. It's routine at this point, isn't it?..."
Should I... tell them?

Alright. Suzume's taking this too seriously. "We'll ration it," he decided. "Everyone go and select one can. The rest will stay with Maji and Chuku."
"Choosing your own ally, and the most veritably insane person here," Niwa said venomously. "Lovely. I can see my fate can safely rest in your hands." He buried his face in Keiki's shoulder before Hisoka could so much as raise an eyebrow at him.
He's not coping well either. Maybe he took the cannibalism jokes seriously too.
He went up to Chuku. "He didn't mean that," he told her quietly. She's my friend. If he did mean it, I wouldn't forgive him. "I promise. We're all just upset. It's been a tough day."
She shot a glare at Niwa.
"Oh. Thanks...Hisoka." She whispered.
"If he did mean it, I doubt he'd be standing here right now. Alive."
Asahi grinned.
"I swear to gawd, Niwa...stop mentioning Chuku-" They hissed.
"She'll hear you-"
Hisoka Yamanaku
He stifled a laugh, instead settling for a smile. "I'm sure he wouldn't be," he whispered. He claimed a pack of hardtack from her pack. "You can take what you want from yours too. And sit with me, if you want. Thanks."
He sat against the wall, and broke open the bag.
Niwa Atsushi
"Good," Niwa muttered.
She smiled. "Thanks."
Asahi sat cross-legged on the floor. "So, any bets on who's gonna die next?"
"Naw...Niwa-
You'll get yourself killed.
And we don't want that, do we?" Keiki stared deep into Niwa's eyes.
"I don't want that.."
Suzume Fujimori's POV
She huffed angrily, and then gripped at her head with her hand as she walked over to get a can. Maybe she was just hungry... but this all seemed...
To be getting to her...
Is it really... what I'm thinking?

"It's hard to say," Hisoka lied. "The other murders have come out of nowhere. It was really hard to predict them."
He stared at the wall. "I guess if any of us had our way, it would all stop, huh? But none of us have the power here. That all goes to the mastermind."
Niwa Atsushi
Niwa's stomach twisted in guilt. Oh, poor Keiki. He immediately changed his mind. Provoking Chuku was bad, if it made Keiki sad.
"I'm sorry," he said quietly. "I'll... shut up from now on."
She paused.
"Hmm.
Mastermind, eh?
I'd love to know who that would be-"
Asahi sighed.
"Frankly I have no clue. I have my suspicions....but I can't really act on them.
Maybe I will. Next murder perhaps? I feel like everyone's secrets'll come out sooner or later, y'know? Hopefully soon...
I do hate waiting."
"Thanksss..." Keiki murmured softly. "I wouldn't want you to get hurt, Niwa-face, would I?" A cold hand cupped Niwa's chin.
Suzume Fujimori's POV
Like her life had just paused itself. Then, in a moment, it's like she was back.
"...well, Chuku, or, Asahi. I have my suspicions as well," she muttered darkly. "But that person isn't here right now, unless for all I know they're not bawling their eyes out about someone, but listening to us as we speak."

"Everything is going to be okay."
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hisoka raised an eyebrow. "Our secrets, eh?" He'd almost forgotten about that. Yet another thing on Suko's blemished record. No secret. They were the only one not knocked out.
And of course...
"I wonder..." he mused aloud, then trailed off. "I hope that it doesn't come to that. I'm- not sure I want my secret revealed."
Niwa Atsushi
"N-No." Niwa tried not to blush. "Um, want to go claim our food?"
"Yeah. Me too. I guess- I guess all of ours will come out sooner or later, Monokuma will probably make sure of that."
She thought for a moment.
"I hate secrets."
They flashed Niwa a quick grin. "Alright. I'm hungry anyways. I don't suppose there are pancakes left...?"
Hisoka Yamanaku
"You do?" he asked, somewhat startled. "Then why...?" He thought she wanted to know all of their secrets.
I wonder if she means her own, he thought, studying what he could see of her face. But I don't think so. She's not self-absorbed- she's talking about everyone.
Niwa Atsushi
"No pancakes," Niwa said gloomily. "Milk is out. Non-perishables only." He sighed, poking at the can of sardines he had swiped from Maji's backpack.
I wish it were a better kind of fish...
"I guess...that things would be a lot different. Depends on the secret though, mild or extreme. We could see total personality changes, you know? I feel like a few here are kind of...masking in a way, the real them. I feel like without these secrets, these...shields, in a way for these people, it'd be easier to...to....to-"
She paused and shook her head.
"I can't really explain."
Asahi sighed.
"Like- sitting here, I can just feel the lies. I can feel the lies slithering out of every word people speak, and you just don't realise."
"Everyone's lying. In some way or another. It'd be far easier to unmask the killers, reveal the traitors and the Mastermind. But we can't....not with secrets.
...
But I guess...I guess that without secrets...all chaos would break loose. A downside, I guess. Chaos, in exchange for knowledge.
But that's a price I'm willing to pay.
I will find out all the Ultimate's secrets, unmask the Mastermind, even if I die trying."
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hisoka went still, listening to her words. Everything she said- it resonated with him. This was a girl plagued by lies. She'd surrounded herself with them for so long, she had grown tired of it. She'd vowed to tear them down from their very foundations.
"Then," he said quietly. "Do you want to know mine?"
Suzume Fujimori's POV
She felt an uneasy churning in her stomach.
They're gone. All gone. Just like that.
She could almost hear the screaming that was described, the nails scratching the walls...
Suko thought they were guilty. What if... they really were? They didn't even want anyone seeing the coded version of their secret. It must've been something too obvious...
