"Oh! It's mainly just books and all that, you wouldn't want to know, I warn you, it's boring." Asahi lied.
Please don't ask. Please don't ask.
"It's interesting- your talent, I mean. Everyone's talents are so unique here..." She trailed off.
"I-"
Keiki didn't speak. They just wrapped their arms around Niwa in a huge embrace.
Hisoka Yamanaku
"Oh- yes it is interesting." He didn't want to focus on that. Why couldn't she just accept the conversation change? "What kind of books do you read? What do you do? How did you become the Ultimate Librarian."
Just answer so I can get out of here.
Niwa Atsushi
Niwa was crying into Keiki's shoulder. They love me. They love me-
She froze.
Oh..hell.
"It's really...nothing, Hisoka. Just- a lot of book reading, sorting and stuff involved-" Asahi muttered, avoiding the question.
"It's- um...getting late. I should really go back to my dorm-" She lied. "I'll see you later."
Hisoka Yamanaku
"Why're you scared of me?" he asked. His chest shook with the effort of the words. "Why does everyone treat me like this? What do you fight so hard to keep?"
Why can't anyone stop trusting me? Why can't anyone trust me to begin with? Why can't people just trust me and then hate me after? Why do I even-
"What're you hiding?" he breathed. "Does- it have to do with me at all, even?"
Hisoka Yamanaku
"Then TELL ME!" Hisoka screamed in her face. "TELL ME, GODDAMMIT! TRUST ME FOR TWO SECONDS SO THAT I CAN TRUST MYSELF! I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK, JUST TELL ME GODDAMMIT-" he choked on his own spit and stepped back from her.
Suzume Fujimori's POV
Because it seemed like one thing was for certain, whether there was the influence of a mastermind or not, everyone was going crazy. She had to figure out how to stop it. She thrust open the door to the hallway and burst in there.
"Does anyone know where Hisoka is?"

"Everything is going to be okay."
Third Person POV
Niwa tore himself away from a suspicious embrace with Keiki. He stared at Suzume with a very red face for about three seconds. Then he raised a single finger and pointed down the hall.
Screaming erupted from over there.
Hisoka Yamanaku
Hisoka pulled back from her. "Yes," he said quietly. "You are right. And I am sorry." He closed his eyes. "I just- I took it out on you. I'm not feeling very well today."
One of his hands ran through his hair. "Will you tell me, if you want to?"
Suzume Fujimori's POV
Then she saw. Who was that near Hisoka? She hadn't remembered a person looking like that. Odd. Was there a ghost in here?
Never mind. "Hello, Hisoka Yamanaku. I- Megami and I- wish to speak with you about something. About the progress of the fair," she found herself blurting quickly.
DAMMIT WHY COULDN'T I HAVE JUST GOTTEN TO THE POINT!?
"So, how has that been going? Also, who is this?" she asked, gesturing towards the mysterious girl who none of us had seen before.

Hisoka Yamanaku
He opened his mouth to answer-
And then he heard Suzume's lilted words. He snapped his mouth shut and cast a glare over his shoulder. She and Megami were there. Eyes round. Saying something about the fair?
Do they want to kill me? Or do they want me to kill them?
He glanced at Chuku, but she didn't seem in the talking mood. So he breathed in and turned to face them. "Hello, Suzume," he greeted. "This is Chuku. The Ultimate Librarian." The words slipped oddly off his tongue. Too familiar- and yet not enough.
Suzume Fujimori's POV
She raised her eyebrows. "So soon? Well, alright, I suppose." It's not that it really matters.
"So, Hisoka, how has the fair been coming along?" she asked, her head tilted. She was trying so hard not to let the suspicion show on her face. Was she succeeding? Who knows.

Hisoka Yamanaku
"Maji and I are done," he told her coldly. "We will not meet up again." He crossed his arms. "Chuku and I were just discussing. Is there any reason you have come by? Or are you simply here to pester?"
Guilt roiled in his stomach. He glanced at Chuku. Help, he mouthed.
Chuku groaned internally.
Fine. She mouthed.
"Um, I'd hate to intrude- but I forgot that I needed to borrow Hisoka for a moment, if that's alright with you both? There was a chapter on jewelery that I thought he'd be interested in- the book is in my dorm though-"
"If you don't mind, Suzume of course, I would like to show him-" Asahi lied.
That was the best she could do.
"Yes," Hisoka cut in, relieved. "And if you want, perhaps we could meet up again later? At the cafeteria for dinner?"
Suzume Fujimori's POV
But...
It probably wouldn't do any good bothering him further now. He didn't seem in a talkative mood.
"Fine with me," Suzume returned in an oddly steady voice. "Go ahead, I'll talk to you later, Hisoka." She spoke the last part of the sentence rather coldly however...
"Come on, Megami," she whispered.
