"Yeah yeah, Gen-Gen, I know." He seemed to consider it for a
second. In a regal voice, he began, "A name is but a name, but the
majesty of a Floyd is forever! Yeah, the name's Floyd." He grinned,
a bit mischievously. "If we end up married, you'll take the name
Bacchus. How about me?"

Floyd looked a bit disappointed, but he grinned anyway. "Well,
maybe we can get the enormous pitchfork out of the wall?" he joked.
"No, seriously, let's organize the tools first. We've got a new
toolshed, we can move them there and then sort the fertilizer out."

Floyd gave a snicker. "Not those ones. Pick up the short ones
first." He tilted his head in slight amusement. "It'll be hard
getting the long ones out, especially if the place is already
cluttered, right?"

"Here, lemme help." He lifted up the heavier end, and helped her
lever it onto her shoulder. "Just don't hurt 'ya arms, okay? Drop
it if you need to, but try not to, since you'll have to pick it up
again." A pause. "And take care of your toes."

The two of them worked together to move the tools out of the shed.
Despite his jokes and words of encouragement, time trickled by at a
crawl, and the work was exhausting. Even Floyd seemed to be getting
tired of the heat in a few hours.
At last, the final tool had been moved across the garden into its
proper shed.
"Whew!" Floyd leaned against the shed. "Some work, eh, GenGen?" The
nickname had developed into a single breath, almost as if he were
saying 'GeGe' half the time, or even missing some of the syllables.
"Honestly, I don't think I have the wind in me to organize more.
What'd ya say we take a break?"

"Alright! Let's go!" Suddenly, he had taken her arm in hers and was
corralling her into the greenhouse. "You wait in here, kay? I'll be
right back with the cavalry~" He shut the door before she could
respond and the sounds of him hurrying away were heard behind the
door.
