The purpose of the Dream World Shop is to gift a plushie to a friend from Dream Points that you earned for "hard" work. And not to gift a plushie that was obtained by DPs that you received as a gift.
This way users could be able to send themselves plushies - and that defeats the whole purpose completely.

I just told my friend that I hoped for something like this for the sole purpose of helping her get the DPs needed to send a plushie to a mutual friend, lol. Glad I saw this rejected before I posted the suggestion myself.
