Im currently on a quest whit this pikachu:

But why is gigamax you may ask, well what happened is that i saw the gigamax buttom and decided to press it to see what would happen, i was expecting an error but got surprised it let me because im sure you cant evolve oak quest pokemon since it doesnt let you modify almost anything on them (remove/give items, etc)

Edit: aparently you can also evolve eevee

It's not a bug. You can take away Everstones from Oak's pokémon, making them evolve.

I'm not sure why you think Oak's pokémon can't be evolved?

Not sure if it happens with Oak’s pokémons too, but in Rowan Quests, the Pokémon borrowed from Rowan, don’t allow us to take their everstones away. It gives a message that its a part of your quest. We can’t take everstones from Rowan’s pokémons.

Huh, I didn't know that.
Though, a Pikachu is still a Pikachu, even if it's overgrown, so it won't break the quest if it's Giga'd, I guess?
Would explain why you didn't get a warning for it.

Yep, it didnt cared that the pikachu grew up, but still i think is weird that you can gigamax/evolve oak pokemon but you cant whit rowan's 🤔
