Genya nodded rapidly.

"S-so....what was it that you wanted to show me?" She asked nervously.

The shimmering water seemed to come closer and closer to Genya, and she shivered.

Alexander took a step closer. And another. His face was getting closer and closer to Genya's. His warm breath was on her face... "Tag!" He tapped her on the shoulder and tore off.

Genya's hear started pounding in her ears as he got closer and closer. Then, nothing.

She sighed. She was acting foolish, hoping that there was even some remote slice of romance between them.

Alexander scampered between the trees, laughing. "Can't catch me!" he called back in a teasing tone. "Slowpoke!" He skidded over a pile of leaves.

Genya ran through the trees, panting with exhaustion.

The water shimmered.

Her reflection.

Changed.

Wind whipping through her hair.

Her features changed.

Strong. Determined.

Eyes....glowed.

Purple.

Genya gave a small yelp and ignored it, running to try and tag Aleko.

"Ack!" She cried, tripping over a tree root, her red hair falling on top of her.

Alexander turned around at her cry- and tripped backwards. "Ouch!" he yelped as he collided with the ground. He pushed himself up. "Hey, Genya, what happened?" He began to approach her.
