Genya sat on her bed, reading the note for the hundreth time, smiling.

Her cheeks were flushed in a permenant blush.

Something made her frown though.

Lake at sunset...

Genya sighed.

She...changed when she touched the water.

She didn't want Aleko to know.

....Genya couldn't hid from it forever.

Priya's eyes glowed with hero worship. "It-it's really you..." Then she heard Lin's voice. And she snapped out of her trance. She turned around- "What in the Gods' Names is that?" she blurted out.

Adrik was reading through a very, very thick book, and didn't seem to hear him. But at his last few words, he glanced up. His eyes widened with surprised. "Oh- Kaden!" He slammed it shut with a bang and sat up on his bed. "What're you doing here?"



A blank look appeared on Priya's face. Then she frowned. She squeezed her eyes shut.

Adrik frowned and opened his mouth to reply- but instead fell silent and looked down at his hands instead. A pause. Adrik drummed his knuckles on the cover of the book.



"Have you?" Priya turned to the Oracle. There was a distance in her eyes now, as if she were looking at something far, far away from the present.

Adrik's jerking hand knocked his glasses off his face and sent them flying across the room. "Werewolf?" he yelped, horrified. "I'm living with a werewolf?"



Priya didn't reply. She scrunched her eyes up tighter. Then opened them. There was a strange light in her green eyes. They seemed to glow... and shake. "Danger," she replied. "Danger surrounds this child... her future..."

Adrik responded by holding out his hand. He held up one finger. "One. I have the extremely useful power of changing the colours of objects."

Another finger.

"Two. I have the social skills of a hermit crab. To figure out how much that is, combine hermits with crabs. And add 50."

A final finger. "Lastly. She can probably smell my pure terror and will 100% bite me."
