"Adrik. You don't know what a crush is...do you?"
"So...what I'm trying to say is...I like you. In a....boyfriend type of way?"
He turned sharply to face the other boy, eyes full of hatred.
"I SAID. GET OUT!" He shouted, and clenched his hands. Symbols glowed bright, and a stone wall replaced the previous wall, si now Kaden couldn't see the boy.
Adrik blinked.
Adrik's cheeks went red.
Adrik blinked again.
The boy was past the stone wall again. "Don't yell at me!" he pouted. "It's mean to yell at people for intruding on your own private business that you don't want to be sharing!"

She whipped around to glare at the puppet. It smiled at her. "Why didn't you stop her?" she demanded.

The boy visibly gasped.
But that was far too overpowered. She frowned, and made an adjustment. But once it's made so, I'll be badly injured.
Hopefully, it'd work... otherwise, that'd be a terrible inconvenience. Suddenly, the ground started rumbling under Isla's feet, and the floor started rapidly cracking open...

The spirit pressed a hand to her-
The cuts vanished.
And then the spirit jumped into her body.
And Isla's eyes snapped open, green once more.
Her tone was edged with disbelief. "You. Tried." She was getting to her feet. "To." Her hand was outstretching. "To kill me?" Her eyes were beginning to sink in again- and then she hesitated. Her arm dropped to her side.
She gave a snort. "Pitiful." She kicked Gisela in the ribs, the unconscious girl's body folding into her blow. She laughed bitterly and stormed off.
"Feel better?" The puppet was on her shoulder again. Somehow.
"Hardly." She stopped. She'd reached the end of the hallway. There was a window. She watched the sky. It was red. As red as blood. Or even fire.
Her hand reached down and felt the blood on her coat, still wet.
That girl was strong.
But blood was always better than fire.
Isla rested her elbows on the sill and watched the sun, which was hovering at the horizon, like it was held between two strings. One which would eventually tug harder.
The world began to tilt.
It was like a puppet. Its limbs... The feel of how you had to maneuver. Of the strength to force it to life, but not to push it to a rip. She was so sleepy... Puppets tired out children, didn't they? Was she a child?
I've fallen down. Was it an attack? No... she didn't feel attacked... She was too sleepy...
No, she'd slumped downward... Was she sad? She was, but she was also too scared...
That was it... she was... tired.
Isla barely registered that she was lying down now. Hugging her backpack tighter. There was a pounding in her ear.
The black bore into her eyes.

A loud bang was heard from the Reception Area. A flash of white light appeared, and out stepped a tall, grinning boy with scruffy hair that covered his face. He yelled something unintelligible, then scampered off to find something sugary. Light reflected off the many stars that covered his hair, as he tilted his head to the side, trying to locate people. The boy rubbed his hands together mischievously as he thought of the many pranks he could play on his fellow classmates. Oh boy, just wait until they could find out his powers....

Melancholy flew into the Hotel, a sombre look on his face. "Jackie? Jackie...where are you?" He called, his grey wings beating a grave drumbeat as they flapped in the air. Melancholy plucked a small grey feather out of a wing, crumbled it, then frowned.
