Then, behind Jackie, the portal opened. "My Queen," said the guard, "You have received a message." Jackie turned around and looked at the guard. "A message? By whom?" Jackie said strictly. "The person is unknown." Jackie sighed. She changed back, and went inside the portal as it closed behind her.

After that, Jackie turned back to normal, went out of the portal and closed it. Jackie went to her dorm and slept. She was really tired. Sakura and Roselle placed Rose in her dorm, and placed her on her bed. Sakura said her goodnights to Roselle, as they both went in their dorms and slept. Today was a tiring day, even after that fight.

Fog didn't sleep, he spent the whole might confused about emotions and he had to tell her. Fog swam out of his room, butterflies in his stomach, and knocked on DD's door.

He crouched in the shadows, watching his prey. A young student, a boy with blonde hair. The child didn't seem to see Kaylan, pity. It was almost time, Kaylan was almost crazed with thirst. His red slits of eyes gazed at the young boy hungrily. The student sat down, alone from everyone. Kaylan pounced, the child screamed and he sunk his fangs into the pale neck.

Jackie woke up to the sound of screaming. She ran outside to see a little boy, with bite marks in his neck, on the ground. Jackie rushed over to the boy. "What on earth happened?!" Jackie said, worryingly. She felt his pulse. Nothing "Oh dear.." Jackie put a flower on his stomach. "Poor kid.." Jackie said. The orb on her necklace glowed. Jackie sighed. The portal opened. Jackie transformed into her Queen form. "What is it now?" Jackie said strictly. "My queen, the meeting is going to start soon." Said her guard. "Oh! Of course." Jackie said, as she walked in the portal, along with her guard, as it closed behind her.

Kaylan watched from the shadows, "A Queen?" He thought. He smiled crookedly, if things between him and Jackie worked out, he could be a king. Kaylan smirked. He jumped from wall to wall, searching for his next victim. After a while, he found his next one, a tall girl. As usual, he stalked the student until she was alone, and then he pounced. After killing her, Kaylan wiped his mouth clean of blood and went for a shower to get rid of the evidence. He smiled.

Jackie sat on her throne as the meeting began. Jackie groaned. "Ugh, how long is this? I can't wait any longer." Jackie growled. "It ends in five minutes, my Queen." The guard said. Jackie sighed. "Fair enough." Jackie said. After the meeting, Jackie turned back to normal. She went to her dorm, and finally got some rest.

DD woke to knocking on her door. "When did I become so popular?" she thought, slightly miserable from her fitful slumber. She took a couple more painkillers before going to the door. Opening it revealed Fog. "Ah, Fog! What are you doing up at this time?" she said, keeping her tone casual to avoid sounding harsh or moody. That simply wouldn't be fair to him. Wait, since when did she care about the feelings of others?!

Fog rubbed the back of his head nervously. "So, I haven't been sleeping. I've felt some emotions that I've never felt before, it was confusing. And...I've finally figured them out and I wanted to tell you. DD....I like you. Like, a lot.." He said, blushing beetroot red, even up to the tips of his gills. Snow started to fall on top of his head, due to his mixed and intense motions. He tried to wave it away but it started falling more and more. Fog smiled weakly at DD, embarrass, trying to stop his hear beating so hard or the butterflies in his stomach getting more and more ferocious.

DD was shocked. He...liked her?? A lot?? As in... perhaps...love?! She wasn't prepared for something like this! How should she react?! Was there a proper way to do this?!?! She calmed herself down quickly. If he was willing to give her a chance, she should do the same. She eventually spoke, "I...thank you Fog..." she hesitated before swallowing her pride, "If you are willing to give...us yes, US...a chance, then I will do my best to return your feelings as well blegh, feelings..." she said before being bold and kissing Fog on the nose. She flushed as she pulled back and quickly shut her door. Pressing her back to it, she stifled a scream. This just made things a bit more interesting and very complicated...

Fog stood their, bemused. She..would give him a chance? He felt like cheering. He was tomato red head to toe from her kiss and he felt rooted to the spot. Fog didn't even notice that she said us instead of me . He walked back to his room, dumbfounded.

Kaylan decided to pay Jackie a visit. He knocked on her door, and quickly checked to see if his fangs weren't showing and making sure there wasn't any blood on him.

Jackie heard someone knock, as she opened the door to see Kaylan. She let him inside, as she closed the door behind her. "H-hey, Kaylan! Doo you need anything?" Jackie said, as she blushed.

Jackie also frowned. "I'm fine, but I found a little boy in the ground that was dead..He had weird bite marks on him, but I don't know what caused them. Poor boy.." Jackie said sadly. Jackie's looked at the red orb on her necklace and sighed. Then it glowed bloody red. "Oh no.." Jackie said worryingly. Jackie rushed outside her dorm, and went in her queen form as she rushed in the portal, accidentally leaving it open.

Kaylan saw Jackie leave and watched her leave through a portal. Kaylan smiled. To make sure she didn't notice him, he transformed into a creature with chalk-white skin on his face and neck, ivory fangs protruding out of his red gums and red slits for eyes. The rest of his body was a shadowy black, with writing black tentacles inside it. Black leather wings sprouted out of his back, tipped with grey glinting claws. He let out a shrill shriek and lashed out his barbe-wire like tail. Kaylan flew inside the portal and seemed to be in an unfamiliar location. Kaylan spotted Jackie, in a gothic royal-like outfit, like a queen. He smiled a twisted smile and flew to the skies, watching the land below.

Jackie stormed in the castle. "What is going on?! My orb glowed red, so something must've happened." Jackie said angrily. "M-my Queen. One of the guards are trying to take your place. We have him held hostage in a cage. You may see him." The guard said. Jackie stormed angrily to the guard that tried to take her throne. "How DARE you?! Do you remember your place?!" Jackie growled at the betrayer in the cage. He spoke. "You are just a teen! An adult deserves that throne, just like me!" He said, holding the bars of the cage. Jackie laughed an evil laugh. "How STUPID! You must have a feeble mind to think such foolishness!" Jackie grinned. She grabbed her staff, that had a skull with red eyes on the tip. "For your misbehavior, you will be executed." Jackie said, annoyed. "Guards, off with his head." Jackie said, as the guards took the betrayer away, as Jackie sat on her throne.

Kaylan watched with hungry eyes as the adult was taken away. An opportunity for a meal, he thought. He swooped down and slashed the cage's bars with his obsidian claws and plucked the hostage in his dark hands. With a quick bite of his fangs, the man was dead. Kaylan wiped the blood off his fangs and mouth and dropped the body on the floor. He cackled.
