She began to drift off.

Until a voice cut her off.

..."Hello?"

Mirej darted awake.

The accent....was familiar.

"...Hello-oo?"

Mirej opened her eyes slowly.

She was suddenly on edge.

"Who....who are you?"

She snapped.


The stranger took a step back.

"Calm down pre'yina...jeez-"

He smiled.

Mirej tilted her head.

Pre'yina? Really?"

The stranger's eyes widened.

"Y-you're..." He muttered.

"Suli?"

Mirej said.

"Yes."

Crickets chirped lightly in the air. There was a rustling in the shadowy grass... almost like a mouse was running over the flattened yellow strands.
