Seara tilted their head to the side. There was almost a glint of sadness in their eyes, but they smiled. "Don't worry, that record was just broken." They took her hands. "We can go together. On a date. In whatever way you want."

Seara dropped her hands, surprised, and watched her go with wide eyes. "Wait-" they began, then cut themself off. They watched her leave numbly. Well. Crap.

That worked out well, didn't it?

Good job, Seara.

They felt their eyebrows twitching. They felt that typical feeling dropping to their stomach.

They sighed and put their hands in their pockets. They... didn't feel like a dance anymore. Just.... sleep. Just... forget it all...

Seara made their way to their room, pulled the door open-

And proceeded to collapse onto their bed, without bothering to close the door. Sleep. Right. Step one... Step two... No. They squeezed their eyes tight shut and curled up into a ball. Goodnight, they told themself. Goodnight. You made a mistake. That's all. Just goodnight. Goodnight.

Seara raised a hand without moving their face from the pillow in a rather rude gesture which conveyed quite clearly for the person at the door to go away.

Seara appeared to have eyes in the back of their skull, because they jerked their head up, eyes wide. "Oh my god, Grimm, I'm so sorry I can't believe I-" They turned to face her and then fell silent. They blinked for several seconds, and rubbed their eyes. "You look... nice?"
