idk why i came back to this site,
guess i decided to waste my life away on pixels
ngl i wasn't expecting to find humorous people here, but im not complaining
everything i do will be recorded here i guess
-day 1 of reminding myself that i'm not funny but i appreciate the effort
also got zapdos from the lab, isn't that rare or something
day 2 of telling myself im not funny
also, actually play the game and stop aimlessly wander around the forums and notification wall
idk lol
day 3 of telling myself that doing this isn't funny, try a different way
cuphead makes me want to commit war crimes
honestly, nothing interesting is going on around here
idk maybe i'll just go adios like everyone else i know
hey guys, daiko here, do you ever get collectors anxiety?
not funny, didn't laugh
so um
apparently there's roleplay on here and i'm honestly kinda considering it. i think i did one a while back but i can't remember a thing lol
anyways
i've posted here twice in one day, i'm ashamed to admit i find enjoyment in this
not that it matters but whatever
had a pretty rough night, couldn't sleep because my eyes were irritated or something idk
that's all ig, i don't know anymore at this point
ok so remember when i said i found humorous people? i also found the toxic people :)
after all these years... i finally found them all
on a different note, i'm starting to get some friend requests. idk if that's a good thing or a bad thing but at least i don't have empty notifications lol
i swear to god this zapdos is just taunting me at this point
its been a week zapdos, wake up
that's really all i have to say, i just don't care at this point
i've been deprived of good stuff to watch for a while, kinda bored honestly
whatever, doesn't matter anyways
everyone's getting out of school for the year, so i guess that means more people will be online, fun...
i don't know why i get so anxious when i comment on a feed or visit a profile, they probably don't even care, and i shouldn't care much about what they think
it's so discouraging honestly, i hate it lmao
why am i turning this into some sort of vent thread, i can say this literally anywhere else but i'm deciding to post this
oh yeah, i forgot about the D/P remakes, guess i gotta give my worthless thoughts on it B)
platinum dex pls??? D/P dex was garbage lmao
i honestly don't care about graphics, i just want good gameplay and to get dunked on by cynthia
i'll be getting both games so... i'll get slapped twice, yay...
also can't wait to play botw again but it's pokemon B)
ok so you know that thing where you only raise one eyebrow
i figured out how to do it, i've learned the secret art, the forbidden knowledge
that's pretty much it, i'm boring as hell
age of calamity had no right to be that good omfw what a ride
honestly, is it even a zelda game if it doesn't make you cry
so i've been replaying a lot of 3D World lately and honestly I forgot how hard some of the levels are
or it could be that the characters are so much faster than what i'm used to
either way, it's been a joy to revisit this game
i just found out what the celebi at the top of my screen does
no wonder why my eggs were hatching like crazy
am i dumb or
just found out doki doki literature club is getting a dlc and is coming to console
i can finally play the game myself lmao
spoiler
honestly i wonder how the whole file thing is going to work, it might be a bit janky
thoughts about e3 direct
danganronpa series? hell yeah
LOZ game and watch? hmm
aoc dlc looks so good, we get the master cycle and some weird whip lmao
BOTW 2 HOLY CRAP WE FINALLY GET SOME NEWS
edit: no way what is my luck
i got an articuno egg from the lab
and some weird plush from the fountain
how
honestly feelin kinda down lately, not really sure why tho
don't really have anyone i can talk to in general, so maybe that's it but it really doesn't seem like it
could be my self-confidence, but tbh when has that ever not got in the way lmao
don't wanna look like an edge-lord begging for attention but damn, depression really sucks
anyways i've been on the champion's road grind and 500+ lives later i'm still only halfway through
i suck at video games
looking back on these posts makes me regret ever making this
isn't the realization and shame supposed to come far later
now i'm starting to think i'll look back on this post tomorrow and wish I could delete it
goddammit after 4 years my joycons are starting to drift
thank god it's the right one, and on the already crappy ones
anyways i should stop posting here so much, its probably more posts than i should have lmao

after her parents die, she's taken to be subjected to a "black room" for a year or two.
her parents called her Rairakku, which means lilac in japanese, it is unclear if it's her actual real name or not.

Mei is quite the wild card, able to change instantly at the flip of a dime. Her true emotions, thoughts, and even motives are almost never predictable unless she wants you to know, making her someone you don't want to make enemies of. She is erratic and mischievous, constantly toying with anyone who was unfortunate enough to come near. I'm not good with this stuff, so the rest is TBRPD
- History -
Mei is known for her excessive gambling, never losing a game in her entire career. She started off only doing the basics, such as slot machines and low-bet poker games, but progressively got worse and worse. The stakes got higher, and her obsession only grew. She began to take an interest in Russian Roulette and games with a much higher risk. Instead of betting only money, she adds a physical punishment to the bet to up the stakes. Because of her excellent manipulation and deception skills, as well as the pressure she adds, she finds it very easy to win a game. Some of her games have even involved billions of dollars, a few execution methods such as a guillotine and hanging, and just plain torture. The rest is TBRPD
- Other -
AU where Idris kills her - "So... how does it feel, huh? Watching me die while the blood of a- no, two sinners run down your filthy palms? Feels good, doesn't it? I was wondering when you'd finally do it, and now here I am, dying by your hand. You did the world a favor, y'know? I hope you're proud of that, because, well... I am too, good job Idris, you did what I didn't have the guts to do. Y'know why? Why I didn't do it myself, why I didn't even kill you instead? I wanted to live, Idris, I wanted to spend this masquerade I lived with you. I hope you're happy, because y'know what? I was, for once. Well... I'll make sure to save you a spot in hell, alright? I'll be waiting for you"
AU where Idris finds her dead - "Heh, what, it's just a few cuts and bruises, I'll be fine~" she said weakly, coughing up a bit of blood as she turned her head up to look at Idris. Those eyes, eyes that would never meet her dull lavender irises ever again. "Who am I kidding, I'm dead, Idris," a faint smile curled up, but she coughed again. Her white shirt had turned the color of rubies, shining brightly against her bleak, dying body. For once, Mei looked... at ease. "I'm dying, and you and I both know there's nothing we can do." Mei reached up to lay her bloody hand on his pale skin, stopping millimeters away when she remembered, pain spreading into her sweet, sad smile that once screamed, "I'm a sinner". Funny how death could do that to smiles, isn't it? She didn't want to see Idris in pain in her final moments, so she didn't touch him. Instead, she let her hand fall to her side and opened her mouth to hopefully say something useful.
"Forget about me Idris, do yourself a favor. My killer did, they did the world a favor." She laughed, couldn't even believe what she was saying. "I haven't changed, really, even in death I still want to see this shitty world burn, I wanted to see everyone suffer at my hands, even when you were standing right there." She laughed once again, which only brought up more blood. "The world has been done a favor, now no one will be able to suffer at my grasp, not even you." Mei turned her head away to look at the ceiling, her face showing a little more pain than she'd like it to, and all of it was the pain coming from her own words. Funny how bleeding out barely even hurt, but her own words did.
"You should've listened to me, Idris, you should've never gotten attached. Now look where we are, funny isn't it? I would say it's all your fault, but..." She looked back and smiled once again. "It was all mine, wasn't it?" The dying girl coughed once more, and she knew it would be one of her last. "It's pretty obvious by now, isn't it? I don't have much time left, so..."
"I'll never get to see you again, will I? Hell isn't a place for people like you. I deserved this, but you didn't deserve the cruel fate you walked into, you should've hated me. I tried so hard to be a little jerk, make everyone despise me, but you refused. I can almost see those thick, rose-colored lenses..."
"They look good on you."

AU where Mei kills Idris - The silver knife was now caked in blood, the handle was warm and had thin, pale fingers wrapped around it. Drip... Drip... Drip... Moments of silence went by, no one said a word. Neither Mei nor Idris said a word. The knife's owner had their vibrant lavender eyes pinned on Idris's deep black ones, a crooked smile right under those devilish eyes. Eyes that belonged to someone who had gone off the edge, eyes of someone who was soaked in blood.
But Mei wasn't insane, she didn't do things for no reason. She killed Idris for a reason.
"I told you not to get too attached, didn't I? I lie, Idris, I put on a show, it was so obvious!"
"How the hell did you not see it?" Mei's petite, bloody frame bent down next to her victim's body as her face seemed to only grow more and more twisted. "Were you too blind with love? You cared too much about me, is that it? I thought that you knew more than anyone that someone like me wasn't worth it, but guess I was wrong..." Her knife edged the sides of his neck, then his jaw, her laughter echoing off of the red-stained wall.
"I have to admit, you almost got me. I almost let myself love you too, but that would be stupid, wouldn't it? Falling for my own, sick little game, only started because of some sick little bear's fantasies to make people suffer, I mean."
"But I did it, I followed through. You proud of me? I did it in the end, I stabbed a knife through that poor, throbbing heart of yours."
"I hope you learned your lesson, Idris. I did all of this because I knew. I knew you had grown weak."
Mei left him with one last faint scrape from her blade before getting up. "And here I thought you were one of the more sensible people here. Guess I was wrong~"
Mei leaned forward to get in his face one last time, letting her eyes meet his for one last time. She liked the color, it was the color of his long hair that he hid behind. She liked how it curled, and she found it cute that he hated looking at people. Reminded Mei of herself, really. She said goodbye with a small, light kiss on his cheek, smiling as she got up and turned away, dropping the warm knife at the dying body's hands.
"Heh, guess I can't be talking, right?" She began, not once looking back at Idris. "It's funny..."
"Because I loved you too."
"The act of taking is equally evil. We, from the moment of birth, continue to take. Food, connections, even fellow blood. Living to the utmost. Continuing to slaughter, kill, take. Life is to constantly sin. Life is evil itself. I am aware I am evil…. And so are you all. Now, come kill me and, I shall do the same." - Yoshimura, Tokyo Ghoul

Akari is very stoic and calm, not one to show emotion or get into many conflicts. He isn't the most talkative person and will only speak once spoken to, but most of the time he will only give a simple response as he hates useless or boring conversations. Akari likes to fidget with whatever he gets his hands on and will divert all of his attention on the object to keep him occupied. He is incredibly smart and is easily able to read others pretty well, even though he claims that he doesn't understand humans. His sight and hearing are quite sharp and he notices the smallest details, and sometimes eavesdrops on conversations within earshot. Some people have trouble being around him due to the strange vibes he gives off, as well as the continuous deadpan stare, but he doesn't mind in the slightest. In fact, Akari seems to not even notice the uneasy feeling he gives off or the fact that he's always lonely. Even so, he is eager to make friends with the right people and will fight to the death to protect them. Once he's pissed, he's pissed.
- History -
Not even Akari himself knows his own history, and he claims that it's "pretty boring" due to "living my life in the shop". He's always hidden behind that excuse, even when it is a lie, because he either forgot his memories or there's something deeper to his past than he lets on. Even though not many know about his secret, he has said that there was an "accident", which is far from the truth, but he will not elaborate further. The rest is TBRPD because i'm bad at this

this is an AU lore fanific or whatever idk, just weird stuff that involves both mei and akari being very OOC
"every day i'd hope that damn bottle would shatter, that one day i'd pick it up and there would be nothing in it. but every single day it would torment me, every single day i'd pick it up and try to shatter it, only to find it in my hands once again. i'd drown myself in it, pour it and pour it in hopes that the liquid death would eventually run out but it never did. yada yada yada"
"Hey... Akari, was it? Sorry, didn't quite catch your name back then, betcha know mine by now though."
The sudden familiar voice made the boy jump, but the words he thought would be chilling him to the bone were surprisingly... Calm. Soft. Warm.
He had come up here to be alone, get his mind away from the tireless hours of being in the shop that had begun to take a toll on him. Turns out staying up 3 days at a time with little to no rest was not a good idea. But Akari couldn't sleep. He couldn't stop. It had been a year since then and he couldn't stop thinking about it. That voice was only proof of it.
"You're supposed to be dead, Mei."
"..."
"Oh, I know. Couldn't help but hang around for a little while longer."
"You've been all alone anyways, Akari. I figured that you could use a little company."
"...You're awful, Mei."
She didn't even giggle. The voice sounded... Sweet, though. "Sorry."
How did it feel so... Genuine? This wasn't her. This wasn't Mei. How did he even conspire her in this way? He never... cared about Mei back then, so why was she the only one who became a hallucination of some sort?
The chocolate brown and golden eyes hidden behind a curtain of green finally looked up from beyond the grass to see...
Her. The killer who hanged, she was standing right there. Maybe the lack of sleep was getting to him... Seriously, the figure just looked so... real, but the voice... It couldn't be hers, could it? Mei had a sharp tongue, nothing sweet ever came out of it. So how... How did it sound so peaceful? So genuine?
"You're not real, Mei. Don't try and act like you are. I... I never asked for your company anyways. I'm fine." His voice hung as low as his head, but it held no anger or resentment like it normally would when it came to Mei. He just wanted peace.
"..."
"Is that so..."
The figure's face curled into a gentle smile, her arms crossed silently as she stood a few feet away from the hunched-over engineer, sitting in a field of flowers and letting the soft wind carry his hair.
"You're right, I'm just a figment of that broken imagination of yours, am I not? I wouldn't be here if you weren't hurting, anyways."
A moment hung in the air, not as tension-filled as an inhale, but instead like the calm of a storm.
Why the hell did it have to be her?
...Why Mei?
"You've been suffering for a long time, Akari. Even before Hope's Peak."
The figure dressed in a white shirt, black jacket, blue shorts, and lavender hair took a step forward, then another step. Akari couldn't even look at them. His eyes were pinned on the grass at his feet, his arms wrapped loosely around legs he pulled to his chest.
He didn't want her to come closer. He didn't want Mei to be real again. He hated every fiber of her being, he didn't want her to be some sort of strange apparition that came to haunt him, even a year later.
...But why was she so calm? So welcoming? Why did her voice sound so kind? Why... Why didn't he try to make her go away?
"...Mei, I-"
She had made her way beside him, and her legs folded and her arms fell to her sides. She sat down right next to him in this empty field of flowers, leaning her head against his shoulders.
The touch made him flinch, even if it wasn't real. But... He didn't push her away. It reminded him so much of sweet sweet memories, ones he never wanted to slip away, but...
He'd let them go for too long. It was just a hole in his mind, his heart for so long. He'd become so lonely, so tired, so... nothing that he wasn't even sure he'd be able to feel again.
So why did this simple gesture by the person he hated the most, who wasn't even more than a memory that he'd somehow conspired, why did it...
Why did it remind him of her?
Of a sweet sweet memory, a memory he so desperately wanted to cling to but he just... Couldn't. The years had been rough on Akari, so so rough, to the point where... Was his mind even his own? He just felt so lost, so confused, so... broken that he couldn't even find a purpose, a reason to live anymore. His life just seemed like a living hell and he just had to feel nothing in order to stay afloat.
His head didn't even turn to face the girl on his shoulders, he just stared at the field beyond. He missed this field. He missed its sheer beauty, the memories he had in it. The memories of her.
Aerith.
He had loved once, y'know. He was young and innocent, he hadn't yet seen the horrors of the world.
He saw the horrors of the family around him though.
But Aerith took that away. Aerith made it all ok. They were young and naïve, but Akari had loved once.
Aerith did too.
They knew each other since they were toddlers, but it wasn't like Akari was ever able to see her. Even from a young age, Akari had to deal with the hell that haunted him and his family every day.
It seemed like hell was all his life was, since the moment he was born.
Not Aerith though, she was worth it.
"The flowers are pretty today, aren't they? I like how they dance in the wind, showing off their pretty petals."
Akari froze. How did she...
"You're thinking about her again, aren'tcha? It's been a while, hasn't it?"
...
"You don't need to hide anymore, Akari. You don't need to keep doing this to yourself. It's okay now, it's okay."
"I'll be right here, I'll be listening. I won't tell a soul, everything you say will be kept safe with me."
"Just... Let it all out, alright? Don't let it torment you anymore, you've let it go on long enough."
She was just a figment of his imagination. The girl resting her head on his shoulders wasn't even real. She knew what he was thinking because she was his thinking. He didn't want to listen to her, but...
It just hurt, so bad. He was hurting, he was in so much pain. He was suffering so much that he began to feel nothing. He wasn't even human anymore, just a mindless husk that wallowed in his own suffering. It just hurt, it hurt so bad. He never wanted to even touch that part, but...
"...Why you, Mei? Why you of all people?"
"...Why do you even care, anyways? I... I said I was fine..."
The petals danced and the wind sang, the birds flew and the bells rang. The trees shook and the grass waved, the clouds looked and the sun gazed.
Akari turned his head to his left, only to look at the purple hair that lay on his arm. The girl's eyes looked into the canvas of color beyond them, and they looked at peace. The boy didn't feel any hatred for her like he once had, he didn't feel resentment or anger. He just wanted to be calm, and he just wanted to stop hurting.
"...I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. That's something for you to figure out, I guess."
Those lavender eyes looked back up at him, a calm smile stared back at him. She seemed happy, she seemed at peace. She seemed genuine, she seemed to be a lilac among a field of her own. She looked just as carefree as the petals, as relaxed as the grass that waved in the wind.
He couldn't return the calmness, though. He was sure his face looked hardened, like such a mess. He was sure he looked so hurt, so unbelievably shattered. It was two polar opposites, staring back at each other.
"You've said that for a long time, Akari. You put a wall to make sure no one could see anything. You've built it quite tall over the years, haven't you? It's gotten pretty thick..."
...
"And for what? Nobody stands in front of those walls anymore, wanting to see behind them. You've deterred them all away, you've built your own fortress that nobody dares to touch."
"Soon that fortress will be your downfall, it will be built up so high that it will suffocate you, squeeze every last bit out of you. Your life will finally come to an end, and all you'd know is suffering."
"That is why I care, Akari. I may just be a figment of your mind, an unpleasant one at that, but I'm still a part of you. I'm the part that knocks on the door, wanting to be let into that fortress of yours."
A silence stood between the two. Akari's eyes deepened as he listened to the girl, and he felt like he was going to shatter into a million pieces.
"...If that's true, then you already know everything, don't you? You know everything already, yet you're trying so hard to get me to say it... Why...?"
"I'm not doing this for myself, Akari."
The world seemed to freeze around him, his breathing seemed to stop.
She wasn't doing it for herself. That was not the Mei he knew. Mei wouldn't be doing any of this.
...So why did he see an illusion of her? Why not Aerith? Aerith acted like this.
But Mei wasn't Aerith.
The girl on his shoulders, the girl that was just a figment of his imagination, had hair that matched the color of lavender and eyes that looked like lilacs.
Aerith had none of those.
"...Fine."
. . .
As per usual, an odd silence seemed to plague the two. Akari seemed to be staring blankly at the flowers that danged around his feet, and Mei seemed to be gazing at the trees that speckled the horizon. Neither of them said a word for what felt like an eternity.
"...What do you even want me to say?"
He could feel her smile, somehow, and all he did was glance over. Her eyes were no longer looking out at the horizon. They were looking right back at him.
The moment of eye contact made his eyes jump, looking anywhere but where hers were. Even if it wasn't real, it sure as hell seemed like it. But Mei kept looking. She had a soft, faint smile and her eyes were the same. Soft. It didn't even look like Mei at all.
Before she could even speak, Akari's eyes trained on the grass beside her had noticed a faint movement coming from her arms, a small rustle in his sleeves that she was in contact with. Her head was finally lifted off his shoulders for once, and her body turned slightly to face Akari more. She didn't even dare try to look back at Akari's face, her eyes immediately fell to the sleeves she had already moved.
Another rustle could be heard, but this time, it was the grass moving to cover the space left by Mei's hands as the lifted up and moved closer to him. They slowly moved to his sleeves, which he always had rolled down, and...
Her fingers lightly fell around the cuffs, slowly attempting to pull them up to reveal the horrors Akari so desperately wanted to hide. Those thin, pale, fragile, ghastly, ...gentle
fingers.
Akari, upon instinct, jerked his arm back and stared at the illusion straight from hell with wide, fearful eyes. The girl right in front of him wasn't even real, she was only a figment of his imagination, yet he still couldn't let anyone see the truth.
He was hiding from himself after all. Hiding memories too painful to remember, hiding things about himself that he couldn't change no matter how hard he tried. He had hid so much, and so much of it always came back to haunt him.
All he could do was stare at Mei, whose head slowly rose to stare at him back. Her head tilted and her mouth formed a small, gentle smile while she stared with those eyes of lavender. The girl didn't say a word, but those damn eyes said it all.
Those damn eyes.
You don't have to hide anymore, Akari.
All Akari could do was stare. The more he stared, the softer and weaker his fearful gaze got, the more his once panicked face relaxed, and the more he moved his arm back right to his side, right where he had it. Mei only watched, and didn't dare say a word.
Her eyes said it all anyways.
Those damn eyes.
He looked so sad, so hurt, so... guilty, so...
Broken.
Any normal person that looked upon the face of a man who went through hell and back would suffer as well.
Suffer at the fact that they looked at something so unbelievably broken. It looked so far beyond repair.
But the girl with the purple eyes saw something different.
A hallucination somehow made up from his own hellhole of a mind, a part of him, saw something different. It saw those pieces that Akari had become, and it wanted to help him build himself back up.
It didn't want to see him in such pain any more.
Those hands reached for his sleeves again, and all Akari could do was hold his breath and stare. The urge to pull his arm away was almost overwhelming, but he did nothing. He knew it would be pointless.
Well, the band-aid was finally ripped off. The curtains were finally drawn back. The truth had finally been revealed. The horrors that Akari so desperately wanted to hide behind sleeves, kept under wraps and hidden from the world.
What was under his sleeves weren't even arms at all. They were arms of metal, the metal of a tin man. A tin man without a heart. That's all Akari was, after all. That's all he believed he was. A man who hasn't even a man at all, and he certainly didn't have a heart. Pain began to spread into his eyes, almost turning into anger and denial. Akari's jaw clenched together so hard he swore he would never be able to open his mouth again. He wanted so badly to deny the sight, to act like nothing happened and nothing was under those sleeves, but he couldn't even speak. It just hurt so much to see it, especially when someone else saw it too.
"I know, Akari. I know."
Her voice was barely above a whisper, and it seemed to be coated in sorrow. Her hands slowly fell off his sleeves and returned back to hugging her own legs, which she then leaned against his. Her head even fell back to his shoulders, and that smile returned once again.
Not like Akari could see it though, not like Akari could feel it. He was frozen in shock, frozen in his own racing mind. All he could do was stare at the glistening metal that shined in the sun. He didn't even notice that Mei was still right beside him.
All he could see were those filthy hands of his resting on his folded legs, covered in blood and forcing themselves to be the only thing Akari could look at.
"So... Tell me about the tragedy behind those false hands of yours, the story hidden behind them."
"...I won't tell a soul."
...
"That's kinda the point, isn't it?"
His soft voice was only a whisper, it would've blended into the wind if it didn't carry the sound of pain with it as well. That's the only thing that set it apart from the landscape around them, the calming environment that soothed every organism in this vast field. Akari and Mei were the two splotches of paint on a white canvas, two weeds in a garden of flowers, two freckles on fair skin.
Akari's head had fallen forward at this point, his eyes still obscured by his hair, and his chin pressed lightly against his chest. His voice only seemed to get quieter, and it even seemed to be breaking.
"If you really are just... something that's come back to haunt me, you wouldn't be able to tell anyone anyways, would you?
Silence. Nobody even moved a muscle.
"I suppose you're right, but I wouldn't say that's up to me to tell you."
"...Just like how it's not up to me to-"
"Akari."
As calm and gentle as the voice was, the suddenness of it still made him jump. A few moments had past where neither of them said a word, until a small sound escaped Akari's lips. It was a sigh, but somehow it didn't sound that way.
"Jesus..."
"S-sorry... I just..."
...
"It's alright, Akari."
For a split second, for just a single moment, Akari noticed the familiar gleam of gold out of the corner of his eye, the familiar gleam of beautiful golden hair. It was so familiar yet distant, he knew what it was instantly, but...
When he turned his head to hopefully see that hair clearly again, those blue eyes again, the only thing that was there was purple. There was no golden hair, no blue eyes, no doll-like face, no Aerith sitting next to him. It was just purple.
And all Akari could do was look away again, hide his face and whatever it was that he was thinking. That's all he could do.
"...It's been almost four years since I've had these damn things... Four years since..."
"Reimi, right?"
"..."
"Four years since everything, Mei. I-..."
"Reimi, Aerith, your family, your friends, the war, any shred of humanity you still had left... Am I missing anything?"
She said that with no hesitation. No remorse or regret in those words of hers, words that hit Akari like a truck with every syllable. It hurt him to hear it, but the figure leaning on him didn't even seem to notice.
Nobody seemed to notice, really. That's what he wanted after all. Akari didn't want to be noticed, he didn't want anyone to care about whatever was going on with him. That only complicated things, made things worse. He was fine how he was, right?
No, of course he wasn't. That was made obvious by the fact that Akari was now shaking, memories of the cursed things that had been mentioned now flooding his head, leaving him paralyzed in utter shock. He was just a boy, after all, why did he have to see such horrid things? Why did he have to do those things? Why did he have to experience utter hell?

[DELETED SHIT 5]
...
this is an AU lore fanific or whatever idk, just weird stuff that involves both mei and akari being very OOC

He was just a boy, after all, why did he have to see such horrid things? Why did he have to do those things? Why did he have to experience utter hell?

[DELETED SHIT 1]
[DELETED SHIT 2]
glistening metal that shined in the sun.
[DELETED SHIT 3]
"So... Tell me about the tragedy behind those false hands of yours, the story hidden behind them."
[DELETED SHIT 4]
"Reimi, Aerith, your family, your friends, the war... Am I missing anything?"
[DELETED SHIT 5]
Seeing those arms again only brought back painful memories of what took place, how that fate had come to be, how he became who he was today. All he could feel were the painful tears and rips of various blades digging into his flesh, causing him to scream in pain and agony and all he could do is sit there and let it happen. All he could do was drag the knife deeper into his forearms, rip off each and every finger one by one, stab and stab at his palm until his entire hand was ripped off. All he could do was rip out each and every one of his veins, expose every tendon and muscle he could, rip apart his flesh into bits and pieces until all that was left was bloody, disgusting bone, covered in bits and pieces of what used to be his arm. All that was left was a ripped up stump of flesh at his shoulder.
All that was left was nothing. With one final blow, he did it. He got rid of those damn arms that had done so many wrongs in his life. That was his first work as the Ultimate Engineer as well. He made his own arms, arms of metal. That was the first time his work actually meant something. He didn't want the rest of his life to be this way, he didn't want to be titled as the Ultimate Engineer, because in all honesty he didn't deserve it. How could someone be praised for something that was built on such a horrible foundation?

hhhh bad idris
EXTRA INFO FOR MEI
the object under her pillow back near the beginning is a small notepad with a locket on it, and the key is hidden on the inside of her collapsible pocket knife. The knife was specially made by her dad and it matches the metal notebook.
After mei is found out and she is about to be executed, she gives the knife to idris but the blade won't go back into the handle due to a piece of paper being jammed in there. the blade is dull and worn out, but there are very faint bloodstains on the metal. the knife also has an engraving on the handle that says "idk yet i need to figure this out". the piece of paper is actually the paper that has her secret on it, but it also has mei's writing in korean on there. the writing says something along the lines of "there is a small key inside the handle of this knife, use it to unlock a notebook that i have under my pillow. you'll find a way to get into my room, i hope. maybe akari can help with that, i heard he's good with breaking into stuff~"
akari uses the bits of scrap metal he got at the beginning from mei to somehow break into mei's room, maybe edgy shit happens.
mei's notebook is written entirely in korean, and it says... idk, i need to figure shit out
MEI'S MURDER / TRIAL IDEAS
We could have Setsuna, ig. I have plenty of character development planned for him, and if he pointed out things about Mei that genuinely hurt her multiple times it might be interesting
If he subconsciously remembered her from the few days they knew each other, and she remembered him consciously
And thought he was trying to hurt her
my plan was to use the childhood friend as character development, mei used a different name as a kid, had blonde hair, looked completely different, and acted different as well, so i was gonna use that as an "oh, that's why they didn't recognize each other". so if setsuna recognized her, they could keep nagging her about who she used to be and bring up her past and shit, boom, character development
- - - -
so when do you wanna do the whole thing with setsuna and mei, where they recognize each other and shit 👀
hmmmm
Maybe Mei can be showing off to Miyako or something.
And Setsuna's just like "hey you speak korean"
and Mei goes fukcfuckbactracking
- - - -
what if, some whacky shit happened and setsuna was attempting to kill futatabi, mei walked in because she knew shit was up, setsuna tries to kill her bc no witnesses or whatever idk, they don't manage to kill her but knocks her out and severely injures her, futatabi is barely alive, and while setsuna is trying to hide mei, she finishes futatabi off instead and setsuna doesn't even know, then proceeds to pass out in a hidden location, barely alive
she probably gets found by someone after they were roaming around and saw futatabis' body, seeing a bloodstream to the location mei was stuffed away in. she looks pretty much dead bc of her injuries and being unconscious, but monokuma confirms only futatabi died.
and when the trial happens, literally all the evidence points to setsuna and they themselves think they did it, they're about to vote setsuna before mei pulls a "are you sure about that" because she doesn't want to get away with it
during the trial, mei can be interrogated since she knew the most information and literally saw it all happen, she reluctantly gives information and everyone comes to the conclusion that setsuna did it, and everyone is about to vote. mei stays silent until then, but at that moment she goes something along the lines of, "damn setsuna, can't believe you fell for it. not even checking if i was [i]really dead or not before you moved me? you're really bad at this, y'know. didn't even bother to finish the job before goin on your merry way, acting like you did a good job. the one thing that could make your plans crumble, was the one variable you couldn't even confirm. rookie mistake, my friend, maybe the killing gig ain't your thing. after all, you couldn't even kill futatabi" or some edgy shit like that
MEI'S EXECUTION
idk it could be called "the losing streak", "russian roulette", "gambler's fallacy" "losing the mind", or something else pretty edgy, mei gets pulled by the neck and into a room where they're lowered closer to the floor so that her toes barely touch it, where giant sized cards are face down. she gets swung around while her feet kick the cards so she "picks" them, which monokuma is doing and keeps getting yanked by the neck around this big ass table, kind of like kaede's execution. haunting laughter could be echoing all around her, monokuma clones could be dancing around the cards and jumping up at mei as she moves around.
she "lost" the game of poker(? idk, some random card game i haven't decided) and she's thrown onto a massive roulette wheel, monokumas that look like kurokuma are all around her and laughing still. then started to get spun around rapidly and violently while an empty barreled revolver is used instead of a ball, and it falls in the slot mei is in. carnival lights spelling "YOU WON!" flash above the massive wheel and the music fades out, and with her remaining strength, she puts the gun to her head but nothing happens bc it's empty. before she could try again, the tile below her opened up and she fell into a dark pit, where the music could be heard faintly resuming in the background. before she could get up, her neck was seized again and she was dragged up, still in the dark pit. the dark pit could also have silhouettes and whispers that resemble her "nightmares" from when she was a kid.
After the rope rose to its final height, a generic carnival jingle plays, and lit-up billboards begin flickering before fully turning on in the dark pit. the billboard says "IT'S YOUR LUCKY DAY!" and then carousel music plays, and the rope around her neck begins moving up and down rhythmically so that she can still breathe when she touched the floor. around her in a circle, monokubs ride on moving ponies and have all sorts of devices used for torturing her.
The sight of many different long, brutal, and painful torture methods coming her way made her bring the gun up to her head with the last bit of strength she had, desperately trying to pull the trigger but there were no bullets. She's forced to watch as multiple flamethrowers heated up the room and moved closer, small cuts were made into her skin that weren't enough to make her bleed until they began to layer on top of each other, boiling water dripped on various parts of her skin, needles were poked in her eyes when she was able to stand on the ground, and her feet were tied tightly to the floor so they were tugged as she got pulled up.
not only that, but her hair was tugged violently, ripping some out, she was electrocuted a few times, sometimes a burst of flames would appear under her feet when she was dragged up, the floor where her feet touched on occasion was burning hot, and a whole lot of stuff was done to torture her. near the end her hands and feet were skewed with ropes, and she was forced to dance around like a puppet while molten silver was poured in her forced-open mouth and the rest of her body. a whole lot of other things tortured her for what seemed like hours before she finally died, gun still in her hand but her mutilated body was covered in scorched red cuts and pieces of molten silver and other bullshit from the torture. The carnival music fades away and the lights begin to dim, all except "LUCKY" on the billboard. idk these are just random ideas, idk how to put them together.
SYMBOLISM - roulette, cards, revolver, and "it's your lucky day" and "you won" for gambling, obviously. revolver is mainly russian roulette and suicide, since when she was younger, her "nightmares" kept trying to kill her. the carnival is for her "loud" and "childish" personality, and the "making a death happy and cheery" thing she does due to how psychotic she is, since she laughs while committing murder lol. silver bc everyone thinks she's a vampire, various forms of torture bc that's what she did to her victims, and the whole "puppet" thing because she was a big ass manipulator. i think that's it lol

ROXXIE, IGNORE THIS
Can they be (a) mastermind? someone who's able to know literally everything about everyone would be interesting, since they could find the worst ways possible to torment someone, and they could hella outsmart everyone 👀 also, their reasoning would be "to see the human mind reach its lowest, see how beautiful one's agony is" or somethin idk
mei's question
"Hey... Idris... Remember when i asked if you've ever liked anyone before? Remember when i asked what it felt like?"

Reimi is extremely bitter and pessimistic, easy to anger but never has the energy to express it. He is deaf and doesn't ever speak, as his eyes have the ability to say it all. He prefers to be alone and will always try to scare off anyone who tries to interact with him by being a jerk. He can read lips extremely well but doesn't ever talk to anyone long enough for it to matter. Reisen is quite observant and quick to think, and he is highly intelligent. idk what else to put lol

5'2, ~100 lbs
- Personality -
Roxxie is a positive, cheery, happy-go-lucky person with an extremely optimistic attitude. They're usually so energetic that it's annoying, but Roxxie makes up for it by how enjoyable they are to be around. They are incredibly sweet, kind, and caring, always trying to make things better for other people, no matter the situation. Being a psychic, Roxxie can easily read people and understand them really well, and their ability to read the room is excellent, even when they act a little more oblivious than they should. Roxxie tends to see the bright side in things, the silver lining, even when it's not there. They have the ability to be serious at times, which is a whole lot scarier than you would think. Roxxie puts on a rather dark face, a devious grin to match, and their speech becomes chilling to the bone. The words they say are often shocking and ominous, and since they're a psychic, they know how to get to people. Roxxie, even though they know pretty much everything about everyone, tries to act normal and make everyone comfortable around them, never revealing things they're not supposed to know. But, if the time is necessary, they'll use their psychic abilities for the greater good. the rest is tbrpd lol

Hope's Peak was only a month ago and
Akari still remembered it like it was yesterday. Apparently,
it had all just been one massive simulation and none of it
actually... happened. Still though, that was some really messed up
stuff to participate in, especially since...
Being so overwhelmed made him loosen up a bit, become more vulnerable. The deaths of his fellow students may not have been real, but whatever he said and done sure as hell was. Oh well, couldn't change the past, now could you? Too bad the events that had taken place stressed him out beyond belief, so as soon as he got back home, Akari diverted all of his attention to his work, laboring endless and sleepless nights just to keep his mind of things, keep his hands busy. It wasn't uncommon to find that he spent over three nights straight without a wink of sleep working in this place, his only opportunity for rest was when he couldn't take it anymore and he probably passed out with a power tool in hand. Poor guy.
Anyways, it was just an average morning for him, he was out working and minding his own business, not exactly expecting anyone else to come in today. It was the weekend after all, and usually clients came at a time he already knew and established with them, so surprise visits were rare. No one had anything scheduled for today at all anyways, and his lack of sleep "blessed" him with the ability to not even be able to think straight.
So when he heard the familiar sound of knocking, and a door slowly creaking ajar, a momentary wave of confusion hit him, yet it wasn't enough to distract him from the task at hand. He found it a little rude and concerning that someone would just barge in like that, but it didn't bother the engineer all that much.
"...Come in, I'll be with you in a sec," He yelled out so that the newcomer could hear, his voice monotonous and obviously lacking in enthusiasmand sleep. The intruder said nothing, but the
footsteps were enough to tell him that they listened. Odd, how they
didn't speak, but he wasn't going to question it. He was too
focused right now to care anyways, and the silence was doing well
for his progress.
A few minutes had passed and surprisingly, neither of them said a word. The only sounds made in the shop were the hums of all the machinery active around the two and the occasional blare of power tools, welding equipment, and maybe the sound of frustrated typing as Akari worked on whatever program he had on his computer. At first, he had been so focused that he nearly forgot about the customer, but somehow it suddenly clicked at a convenient moment, and he was able to stop momentarily in order to attend to this stranger. Maybe he should actually get a system in place instead of relying on cheap, unreliable methods in order to do his work.
Anyways, he began by leaning back in his chair and profusely blinked for the first time in what seemed like forever, rubbing his eyes with his grimy, filthy hands while doing so. Of course, he suffered the consequences and had marks on his face like the absolute idiot he was. Then again, he already looked god awful due to the poor conditions he had put himself under, but this was just icing on the cake. After mentally preparing himself for whatever interaction he was about to have, he slowly got up and made his way over to the front of the shop, still rubbing his exhausted eyes along the way. This meant that he couldn't see the figure sitting on one of the chairs, tapping their fingers rhythmically with a slight hint of anger and impatience. The immediate negative vibes coming from this person made Akari mentally groan, but he persisted. The mood also lowered the volume of his voice, as he found it quite difficult to shake the sudden wave of nervousness that came from... interacting, ugh. Strangely enough though, he managed to speak without a stutter. Apparently he only does that around those his age, or when the situation isn't "professional" enough or something.
"Thanks for waiting, sorry about tha-"
"Akari, you look like a walking corpse."
That voice, it sounded familiar, but he couldn't quite place his finger on it. The fact that this person know his name was unsettling enough anyways. He finally managed to clear his eyes enough to be able to see the stranger's face, and upon seeing it, he wished he never did.
It was Mei. Mei Akamatsu, the Ultimate Gambler. The hell was she doing here? How did she even know where to find him? What sort of witchcraft anime plot was this?
"...Gee, thanks..." He grumbled under his breath, looking away from the smugbut
oddly... concerned? faced purple haired girl that sat in front
of him, legs crossed, head propped on her palm, tapping her fingers
and everything. His obviously unamused and disinterested expression
following him as he turned his head, mostly downwards, to try and
avoid her gaze. There they were again, the daggers that threatened
to kill, all coming from those damn eyes.
"What? It's true! You look like I woke you up too early from your coffin... Have you even slept, or hell, ate at all? Can't be mad at me when you're lookin' like that..."
The bluntness of those remarks made him pause for a moment, gritting his teeth in... Anger? Disappointment? Something he couldn't describe? He instead decided to just ignore it and move on, get this over with as quickly as possible.
"What do you want, Mei..."
A burst of laughter followed his remark, which made him scoff and crossed his own arms. Mei, being the jackass she was, only laughed harder. "Whaaaaat, not happy to see little ol' me? Did I interrupt your little parade of self-destruction?" Another giggle escaped her mouth as she uncrossed her legs and leaned forward, clasping her hands together. Before she could spew another remark, Akari made sure to spit out a reply.
"I'm fine, not like you cared about my well-being anyways..."
Upon saying that, the room fell silent but he could feel those daggers tracing his skin, up and down up and down up and down up and...
Those eyes were just scanning him, and he already knew Mei was going to make some sly "joke" about it and tell him what he already knew, albeit in the worst way possible. "Don't, Mei. Just-... Why are you even here? How are you even here...?"
And with that, Mei sighed and chuckled, leaning back in the worn-down chair and tilting her head slightly. "Akari..." The room fell silent again, and her tone suggested that she was going to be "serious" for once. Too bad the words she said next were the complete opposite of serious.
"How the hell do you not even have an email? Huh? Literally the only way to get ahold of you was to just show up at your doorstep, like c'mon man! I had to drive over an hour because of this! How the hell do you not have something, some form of communication?! Jesus christ Akari, is it really that bad?"
The spew of words caught him off guard a bit, making him take some time to fully process them. "Can't afford internet... That good enough of an answer for you?" For the first time since she got here, his narrowed eyes moved over to look directly at her, only surprised to see a playful, but somewhat annoyed and angry, grin. "If you're so mad about it, why'd you even come in the first place..." He grumbled.
Silence once again, and this time, Mei's face contorted into an almost embarrassed frown. "Not... really, and..."
"...Look, I-..." A frustrated sigh could be heard. "I was bored, ok? And, well... Sawyer wouldn't stop bugging me about it, they somehow got my number and refused to stop begging for some type of "party" at my place just completely out of the blue... Annoying as hell, that kid..."
"..."Somehow got your number," huh... Just like you "somehow" got my address?"
"...It's not that hard to get, in all honesty, Akari... This is probably too much for you little rat brain to understand, but you're not as much of a "nobody" as you think you are. Word gets around fast, y'know, doesn't help that you've had people from everywhere come here... Besides, I have my ways."
With a small grunt, Mei finally managed to get up from her chair, and she started to dangle her keychain around. "So, you comin'? Trick question by the way, you don't have much of a choice. It'd be a shame if I made the long ass drive out to the middle of nowhere for nothin', wouldn't it?"
Akari sighed and groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose and shaking his head subtly. That last part... Felt like a threat, and he was way too annoyed to be dealing with that. Besides, it wasn't like he had a choice, right? She'd probably drag him along anyways, and there would be nothing he could do to stop her. At least, nothing he wanted to do. Oh well... Guess he had to follow her back to her car, dreading the hell he'd involuntarily signed up for.
"...Fine, whatever... Just-... Go right ahead, I gotta close up shop..." He muttered angrily, already turning away without waiting for a response. All Mei did was giggle and hop out the door, and probably stole something or two from whatever counter she had in sight... He heard it, he could hear everything that happened in these walls.
It didn't take long for him to get ready, he just had to shut everything down and make sure he got the bare minimum. He was about to leave when he noticed the disgusting black streaks all over his clothes, mixed with oil and bits and pieces of metal among other things, plus the hair he hadn't brushed in days. ...God he was a mess. He groaned and went back to the back of the shop, heading to his "room" and decided to actually clean himself up for once. Shower wasn't working again, so guess that was off the table.
Instead he just got a change of clothes, brushed his hair, cleaned himself off the best he could, then reluctantly walked out the door. Walking outside, he rolled his eyes at the sight of Mei having her feet propped up on top of the steering wheel somehow, leaning back and staring at her phone as she ate a... Lollipop? Did she just have that? Anyways, he winced upon hearing the music blaring from her car, almost instinctively fleeing back into the shop to avoid it. He pushed himself forwards though, resisting the urge to cover his ears as he walked over to the passenger side. He slowly got in and turned to face Mei, obviously uncomfortable from the sheer volume of the music she played.
Was that Journey? Huh, he would've expected her to be into metal or something, for some odd reason. She just seemed like the type of person who would be into more "hardcore" and... morbid music.
"Geez, FINALLY you show up, I've been waiting forever!" She huffed as she sat back up, slamming her hand on top of the wheel, turning to face Akari. "What, you stay in that sad, lonely shop so much that you hate music or somethin'? Geez, what a big baby..." She teased, grinning slightly before turning down the music.
It was already extremely low anyways. Mei just couldn't hear him when he spoke because he talked so damn quiet.
Obviously that insult didn't sit well with Akari, as his face darkened as it turned towards the dashboard. He simply sighed and put his seatbelt on, staring at the dashboard as the music played. "Says the one who always acts like a damn child..." Mei obviously heard it, but all she did was stick her tongue out at him before attempting to start the car.
He found it funny how Mei owned a car that was almost... 30 years old by this point? I mean, it was in relatively good condition but he could tell just from looking at it that it was begging for death.
...He could also tell from the poor quality of the speakers, and how long it took her to start the car. It just kept on stalling... Besides, he had seen this model before, it was a surprise it even lasted this long.
"...Do you want me to check it out...?" He quizzically asked slowly, like he was a little scared to say anything.
"Nah, you'll just take forever like the slowpoke you are. Besides, don't wanna give you the satisfaction anyways."
And just as she said that, she finally managed to get it to work. She stuck her lollipop back in her mouth then began to drive, not saying a word.
...
The long drive back to wherever Mei's destination could be was quite boring, Akari refused to say a word as he looked out the window the entire time. Mei, not wanting to prove his point of her being a massive child any further, didn't really do much either. Every single time she tried to fill the noise, she was always shot down by the cold shoulder. Geez... At least they both had good music to distract them, even if Mei could barely hear it.
"Akari, you're the worst passenger I've ever had, so goddamn boring..." She grumbled as she stepped out of the car, slamming her door shut as she stepped back. Mei was honestly quite surprised he didn't even doze off in the car, apparently two nights without sleep wasn't enough to knock him out. Did he really hate sleeping that much?
"...You literally kidnapped me, Mei, you don't have room to talk..."
"Oh BOO HOO, you could at least try to be fun for once! Geez, what is it with you guys and being so gloomy and depressing?! Good grief... I dunno why I even let that brat convince me to do this anyways..." She grumbled, glaring at Akari with her arms crossed.
"...I'll do that when you stop being such a jackass..." Akari grumbled back, getting out of the car and sliding his hands into his pockets and staring at the building in front of them.
It was quite large, yes, but surprisingly... Modest. Odd, Akari thought Mei would've wanted to live in this weird castle just to flex on everyone, but apparently not.
"Good luck with that~" Mei grinned before walking over to the door, only to find...
Sawyer and Darcy were already at her door. What the hell? They were like... 20 minutes early. "Uh..." Mei started out, looking at the two, very confused. Sawyer was jumping around like a little kid on candy drugs and Darcy was just standing there, seemingly bored and annoyed. Once the two spotted her though, they perked up and Sawyer immediately ran to hug her. "OHMYGOSHMEIMEIMEI" They squealed, squeezing her tightly as she tried to wriggle out of their grasp. "HIIIIIII, IT'S BEEN SO LONG MEI!!" They refused to let go, only giggling and squeezing her tighter. "WOAH! Does that mean you're the man behind the slaughter?! Hehe, get it? It's been so long? AAAANYYYWAYS, HI MEI!" Mei simply groaned and gave up trying to push them off, seemingly looking to Darcy with an unamused expression on her face with a look that said "save me".
Well, the only thing that saved her from Sawyer's squeals and endless grasps was them finally noticing Akari. "WOAH, you brought Akari too?! You're so COOL Mei, so many friends!" They then ran off to go and tackle Akari, to which he responded by recoiling at the touch, lifting his arms up and looking at Sawyer with a very confused and startled expression. "HIIIII 'KARSTER!! So glad you could come to this totally epic, super duper AWESOME Mei-Mei over here is having!"
"Uhh-..." Akari started out, unable to say anything out of pure shock and annoyance. Too bad he was interrupted by Darcy pretty much pulling them off, as well as Mei's shrugging before she left the scene and walked over to her door, jamming a key in and opening it. She said something along the lines of, "I'm never gonna f**king do this again, y'all are the worst," yada yada yada or whatever BS she liked to spew before doing so. Darcy was just apologizing before he was also interrupted by Mei.
"Door's open you slow ass f**kers, jesus you're just gonna sit there??" Mei yelled out, leaving the door slightly ajar as she went inside. Akari and Darcy rolled their eyes and groaned while Sawyer just pouted before running into the house behind Mei, screaming at her about how mean she was or something.
...
Once everyone was inside, Mei turned around to face the three and looked like she was going to say something, only to be interrupted by Sawyer's rambling again. The girl only sighed, rolled her eyes, then walked away, completely ignoring them. She looked like she was ready to just straight-up slap them, but she didn't. Mei continued onwards, moving to the living room area and gesturing to the couches. "Take a seat or somethin', I dunno..." She grumbled, obviously not exactly sure of what to do. "We've still got like... 10 minutes 'til 4, so... Get comfy, I guess. If anyone else comes, let 'em in or somethin'." Mei had her attention on something else, not even looking up once at the group as they sat down. She was instead in the kitchen, doing... something, then proceeded to wave a hand as a goodbye before walking away into another part of the house. Her final words before disappearing were, "Don't touch anything, got it?" which sounded like a jab at Sawyer specifically.
...
The three sat in silence for a few moments after Mei left, Darcy and Sawyer were sitting on the couch together while Akari stood to the side. He looked like he was about to doze off, at least before Sawyer said something. "Awww, Mei just left us! Geez, she's really not good at this party stuff... OOH OOH WHAT IF SHE HAS A SURPRISE!?" Before anyone could say anything, Sawyer jumped to another subject as usual. "Heyyyyy, Akari! Come sit down, sleepy head! Come ooooonnnn, it's pretty comfy!" They aggressively patted the open seat right next to them, much to Darcy's annoyance. He had already looked over at Akari, smiling nervously as he spoke. "You don't have to if you don't want to, Akari-" "Awwww, but Daaaaccceee!-" Sawyer began to whine, looking at him with an exaggerated frown. Darcy only had to give a sigh before Sawyer did a 180 once again. "Yeaaahhh, do whatcha want Kar-Kar! I toootally get it!"
After a moment or two had passed, Akari silently decided to walk over and sit down, trying his best to put as much space between him and Sawyer as possible. He looked very tense, keeping his arms and legs close to him while he refused to look anywhere other than the floor. The effort was futile though, as he was immediately jumped by Sawyer with another hug. This time, the sharp breath he took, along with the quite noticeable jump managed to shake Sawyer off. "Sawyer, I don't think he likes that..." Darcy added, looking over at the two. Even with the negative reaction, Sawyer was still somehow beaming. "Awww, sorry about that! AAAAAANYways, whatcha guys wanna do while we wait for Mei-Mei?"
Suddenly, Sawyer let out a loud gasp as their eyes turned towards the entertainment center under the TV. "OOOOOH, look Darcy! You think she has Mario Kart? Maybe we can-" "She told us not to touch anything, so... I bet all of that is off limits, Sawyer." Darcy interrupted. When he looked over at Akari again to perhaps suggest his input, all he saw was him fighting sleep, his eyes barely open in between the moments he dozed off. "...You alright, Akari?" Darcy asked simply, catching the attention of Sawyer who turned to look at him as well. The sudden acknowledgement made his eyes snap open slightly before he responded. "...Yeah, I'm... Fine." Akari murmured in reply.
Before either Sawyer or Darcy could say anything, Mei returned, and she did so quite loudly. "Alright, what have you bastards been up t-" She paused upon noticing them all, doing absolutely nothing. She had a large bag in one hand and a tray in the other. "...Have you guys really done nothing while I was gone? Geez... You guys really are that boring..." She grumbled, setting down the things in her hands before walking over to glare at them, crossing her arms when she stopped. "To be fair, you told us not to-" "Shut it, Akari." The former speaker threw his hands up slightly as a "surrender" as he shrugged and looked away.
"...It's 4 now, did you guys scare off everyone else or some s**t? Or did they really ghost me that hard..." Mei asked, glancing to the door that had not once been touched. "No, Mei, no one else ca-" Darcy started, only to be interrupted by a doorbell. Y'know, you would've thought that they would notice another vehicle pull up, but nope, the doorbell was the only indication of this mysterious person's arrival. Mei took a deep breath and sighed, almost disappointed that someone else had come by. She let her arms fall to her side as she walked over to the door, then opened it, only to find...
Lucian. He was one of the few that actually texted her back when she sent the obviously unwelcome "invitation" out to everyone, and honestly because of it, Mei didn't think he would come. Lucian's text was something along the lines of "I'll be busy most of the day, so I'm not sure I'll be able to attend. Sorry Mei." Or something like that. Even he seemed fed up with her BS once she responded with an, admittedly, immature text saying something close to " 'Busy', huh? Busy with that Kubo guy? Oh well, bet he's more fun than this party Sawyer's forcing me to do~" Lucian, "surprisingly", left her on read and ghosted the hell out of her. She honestly didn't expect him to show up.
"...Oh, hey Lucian..." Mei grumbled, staring down at him, not exactly excited to see him. "S-sorry I'm late, I was just-..." His voice faltered as he peered through the doorway, looking behind Mei. He seemed... shocked, but mostly confused. "...Where is everyone? Did I... miss something?" Everyone else was staring back at the two, Sawyer was waving furiously with the widest grin on their face, Darcy was giving a much more subtle gesture of a welcoming with a simple wave and a smile, and Akari was barely looking over his shoulder. "Nope, right on time Lucian, welcome to hell. Take a seat or somethin', I dunno... Got some food cookin', hope you're hungry." Mei mumbled, moving to the side to let Lucian inside. All he did was smile and reply with a simple "Thank you" before stepping in and making his way over and taking the last seat left on the massive couch. He was met with a massive hug from Sawyer, who was surprisingly still squealing about this whole "party" thing. "Hiiiiiii Lucister, it's been soooooo long! Awwwww I've missed youuuuuu!" Mei rolled her eyes at their enthusiasm and instead walked off once again, but this time she made her way to the open area adjacent to the "living room" and began rummaging through the cabinets and shelves that were there. The faint clinking of glass could be heard as she rummaged, but the noise was drowned out by Sawyer's overwhelming excitement and Lucian's attempts at conversation amongst the small group. Before the latter could get anywhere, a somewhat loud "ah-HAH!" sounded from Mei's direction as she bounced up from the floor, two glasses in either of her hands as she held them up to show those on the couch. "Anyone?" She motioned nonchalantly, setting them down on the island in the middle of the area before opening one of the drawers. Before doing so, she paused and looked back over to everyone else, who were all strangely silent (except for Sawyer, they were just spewing on about things that Mei didn't care to understand).
Darcy, Akari, and Lucian on the other hand were staring at Mei and the bottles in bewilderment before Darcy finally spoke up. "Uh... Mei? I don't think-" Again, he was interrupted by Mei's obnoxious eye-rolling and a small groan. "Cider, Darcy, ever heard of it? Jesus christ, you guys are so..." She paused with a pinch to the bridge of her nose, then an annoyed glare at the three. "...Jumpy."
It was pretty damn obvious that Mei had just refrained herself from going off on all of them about it, spewing random jabs about their hesitancy on the subject of what they assumed to be alcohol. All she got in response were a few long sighs, an eye-roll from Akari, and a few requests to mix the two drinks from Sawyer.
She pulled out a few simple glasses, surprisingly not using the wine glasses she had sitting next to the class cups she actually used. Mei spread them out, then began to pour the first bottle into each of the cups. Since they were both the exact same thing, she didn't follow up on Sawyer's request, which led to a small, light argument between the two. In the end though, Darcy and Lucian got them to calm down, and Sawyer just acted like nothing had happened while Mei looked at them with... quite the expression.
Before Mei could go back over to the couch, someone suddenly came from the hallway Mei had disappeared to earlier, and in their hand was a tray of large, round balls of... Dough? It was hard to tell what they were, but they looked delicious and well-made. "...Can I go now..." The woman grumbled at Mei after setting the tray down, turning her head over to Lucian, Darcy, Sawyer, and Akari as she raised her eyebrows. She said nothing though, and instead, Mei gave her reply of, "Yeah yeah sure, whatever," while waving her off. Unsurprisingly, Darcy, Lucian, and Akari looked at Mei with a concerned look while Sawyer tried to say hi to the woman, only to be ignored. She was too tired to be dealing with this, honestly.
"...Cheesy biscuits." Mei said after staring back at them, leaving it at that before grabbing one and stuffing her mouth with it. "Mpht's goofpd, come geph spom." Why Mei was trying to talk with her mouth full, no one knows. Well, at least Sawyer understood, as they immediately came over and stuffed their mouth as well, then began to speak unintelligible things while they chewed and even tried to tackle Mei again for a hug, but she managed to avoid it. Darcy followed behind soon after, but only decided to grab a biscuit and his glass and stayed around the island, and Lucian did the same. Akari didn't even budge, in fact, he didn't even seem to notice everyone had left the couch. "...Akari? You... want some?" Lucian finally said, looking over at him with a concerned look. The sudden mention of his name was enough for his neck to slowly turn, his eyes seemed to be barely open, trying to readjust or something.
...He dozed off. Not a surprise, but
Being so overwhelmed made him loosen up a bit, become more vulnerable. Poor guy.

Anya is a reserved, fortified woman who constantly puts up a cold glare and rarely ever speaks. She finds it best to not waste her energy on things that "don't matter in the end" and is socially terrible because of it. She prefers not to mess with people and instead stick her nose in a book or something worth putting her time in. Anya is incredibly perceptive and has the ability to see even the smallest of details, her memory is absurdly sharp, and her intelligence is astronomical. She can be a little harsh and blunt at times, but that's just how she acts. Most of the time, Anya doesn't seem to show any emotion and can quite often appear bored and unamused. Even getting close to her can only warm her up so much, an occasional smile or sentence is probably all you'll get. Anya typically isn't one to dwell too much on human emotions or thoughts, and she definitely doesn't let her own affect her too much. She can honestly handle things quite well, surprisingly.

With this, she can make anything in their vision become "real", but only to them. If she makes a person see a ladder, that person will be able to climb the ladder, even though it does not exist. Kai is only allowed to make objects that already exist, but she herself does not have to know what said object looks like. As long as her target knows said object, she is able to think of the concept and manifest it in their vision. Unsurprisingly, making organic images takes a far greater amount of effort than simple objects. Of course, the objects Kai manifests aren't exactly real per se, but they exist in a form of energy that only applies to her target, and they can very minimally affect the real world. Instead, it mores so only affects her target themselves. While her main use is creating fake objects, she can alter the appearance of objects and even making them seemingly disappear entirely.
Drawbacks? Due to being able to use it on herself, she has gone a "little" insane and sometimes acts a little funky. She also tires easily due to how much effort it takes to use her ability since she uses it constantly due to her low self-esteem. Speaking of, no one knows what her face looks like, as she uses her quirk to hide it under a heavily altered face, or just a void where it should be.
I'll probably change this up later.

This is just a small little "journal" of sorts that I have dedicated to writing snippets of my character's backstories in the Danganronpa: Blood and Water RolePlay.
Of course, with all my characters, this means edge and angst. So, be warned, proceed with caution all that fun stuff.
Entry 1 - Nightmares
By Mei Akamatsu

The little girl was only five years old when she had her first nightmare. When she first woke up with blood on her hands, the taste of iron filling her mouth, her lungs gasping for air.
And one of the only things she held dear was missing. It had vanished from its spot on her dresser, vanished like the possibility of her ever just being an "ordinary little girl". Her pocket knife, a keepsake made by her father, a skilled blacksmith and woodworker, among other things. He had made it for her, a token of love and care. Hours and hours of labor went into the making of such a beautiful piece, and the little girl watched it all.
But now such an innocent, beautiful thing was tainted with the nightmares that came forth. It was tainted with blood. It became a weapon of destruction, one manifested from the nightmares.
Was the blood even from her own? From the little cuts that covered her poor little body, the pale smooth skin that gave her the demeanor of a little doll?
What was the doll's name again? The name of the little girl who started to have nightmares? The girl's father engraved it int the knife, didn't he? Who's blood was on the blankets, on the girl's clothes, on the floor, in her mouth?
...Dolls couldn't bleed, so whose was it?
Was it the engraving on the knife? Rairakku? What did that word mean? Was it the name of the doll? Was it the name of the girl whose bloody palms clutched it so hard her knuckles turned purple?
Purple.
Rairakku.
That was the little girl's name, wasn't it? Rairakku? That was the name of the doll. That was the name of the little girl.
But it was Mei's blood on the blankets, on her clothes, on the floor, in her mouth. Mei's cold hands on the bloody knife.
Mei's lavender eyes on the horrifying sight of what had been on the floor this entire time. Words sprawled out in blood, the poison of pure fear reeking from the short sentence laid out in front of her.
Rairakku is dead.
Welcome to my nightmare.
...
Screams were let out that day. The screams of a little girl rang all throughout the house, rushed footsteps came soon after.
Tears were shed. Hours were lost. A certain tension fell upon them all, every day from that point forward, and it never really went away. Nothing was ever the same since those nightmares came to that room, hid under the little girl's bed like the monsters they were. Everyone was powerless against whatever horrors had come upon them, holding them by their throats and squeezing the life out of them. Once an innocent, happy family, now a chamber of sorrow. Once a pretty little doll, now a sickly, deadly demon.
...So the little girl has never really been human after all, hasn't she? An emotionless, lifeless doll, only able to bring joy if one simply conjured it up with their imagination, now an absolute monster. An unstoppable evil with nothing on their mind other than suffering and agony.
Nothing has ever been the same since Mei.
-------------
The little girl was only nine years old when the blood on her hands finally wasn't her own. These nightmares have plagued her for years now, almost every night they came out from under her bed to torment her, forcing the little doll that was Rairakku to slowly fade away.
It was agonizing for the girl, but she couldn't help but like it. She couldn't help but to accept it.
She couldn't help but to smile at the body she had found herself standing over, mutilated in the most gruesome ways possible.
That was the first time the nightmares got what they wanted. That was the first time the name "Mei Akamatsu" became a reality. Rairakku was no longer.
...But that's not what the little girl wanted. Once the doll slowly opened her glassy lavender eyes, only tears could fall from them.
But dolls couldn't cry, could they?
Dolls shouldn't be able to feel anything either.
But all the little doll felt in that moment was world-crushing agony, overwhelming sorrow, an unexplainable and unfathomable feeling of dread and guilt.
Rairakku- No, Mei had killed a man, the knife that turned her knuckles purple gleamed in her bloody hand as a thick, ruby liquid dripped from the well preserved edge of the blade. His head was severed from his body, blood covered everything that belonged to him. The damp, dark and looming walls of the alleyway stood over the little girl, almost judging her for the sins it had witnessed. The sky that watched down on them all had see it too, and it would forever remember. It would remember the cuts and bruises and holes and letters in blood and scrapes and-
When those nightmares finally showed the little girl the absolute monstrosity in front of her, all caused by hands that weren't her own, it shattered her.
It shattered everything.
Shattered like those mirrors she had broke, shattered like her parents' hearts, shattered like their brains the very next day.
-------------
Nobody ever found the killer to the man who fell victim to those nightmares, the man who had to suffer at the hands of Mei Akamatsu.
Well at least, that was what was assumed to be the case. But it all shattered the moment Rairakku's beloved parents had their brains blown out.
Right in front of her.
The already shattered family had been disturbed once again, and now there was no family that remained. They all wanted to forget, they all wanted to say everything was ok, everything was fine, there was nothing that could hurt them.
But their killer wanted to remind them that their life wasn't their own. They had no control.
The nightmares would always come eventually.
And their poor, naiive souls thought the only nightmares they would get tonight would be from the movie.
The little girl enjoyed that movie, she really did. It was her first night at a movie theater, something her parents had been wanting to do for a while now. Too bad it would be her last, her last as the little girl at least.
Funny how she didn't feel a thing, the sight of blood meant nothing to her anymore. The skin growing cold wasn't an unfamiliar sight, and neither was the color and life slowly draining out of a limp body. All Mei could do was stare, stare as screams rang all around her, bodies shuffled about as time seemed to slow. She stared, even cracking a small smile when the last bit of life ran from her beloved parents' bodies as she was dragged away by men in odd suits.
Rairakku Soraleis was never to be seen again.

Mei Akamatsu never had nightmares until now, Rairakku did though. Mei became the nightmares, embraced them to their fullest and took great joy in the endless nights they came. Rairakku didn't, but that little doll was gone now.
Mei Akamatsu never had nightmares until now.
Idris Kallikrates, the man that brought her nightmares, was also the one that made them completely obsolete.
The little girl was only five years old when she had her first nightmare. When she first woke up with blood on her hands, the taste of iron filling her mouth, her lungs gasping for air.

[ skipping this for now, i'll edit edgy stuff in later ]
-------------
Mei Akamatsu never had nightmares until now, Rairakku did though.

That day was utter hell. Well, in all
honesty, every day was hell for them. This day in particular
though...
It was one of the cruelest out of them all.
Akari had woken up to the dreaded yelling and banging he heard nearly every day, except this time it was mixed with the sound of shattering glass, doors slamming, and that damn ringing in his ears. Still not unusual to hear these things in this house, but it still haunted him. At this point, he had gotten used to waking up like this, knowing to just brace himself for the day to come.
Didn't make things any better.
His body still shook and quivered, barely even able to move out of pure fatigue. His mind still raced with the possibilities of whatever that screaming and horrid racket would bring, even when he had grown used to it.
The fear was inevitable. No matter how many times this happened, no matter how normal it all seemed, no matter how many times he tried to think otherwise, the fear would always be there. Nothing could shake that away, and the best he could do was desperately try to shove it in the back of his mind. He needed to grow up, couldn't be scared of anything, now could he? Fear was something he should never have, fear made you weak and pathetic. He couldn't be either of those.
"GET YOUR IN HERE YOU STUPID PIECE OF !"
Everything froze. The only sound he could hear was the sound of his own heartbeat, only growing louder and quicker with every thud.
That wasn't his mother. His mother who usually said those words, spilled that much anger. If it was his mother, he wouldn't be panicking. If it was his mother, he'd know how to prepare himself for the hell.
But that wasn't his mother. It was his father, who hardly even existed. Got himself drunk all day. Too out of it to ever do anything. Almost never around, never there to be a part of this hell.
That's why the sudden outrage struck so much fear and panic into Akari. He had no clue what his father would do. All the little boy could do in that moment was shake hopelessly in his poor excuse for a bed, desperately trying to find the strength to lift himself up and follow his father's orders before things got worse.
Too bad he failed miserably. Too bad his father burst in and seized him by the hair that curtained his face, dragging him to the kitchen. Too bad he was screaming in Akari's ears the entire time as the poor boy weakly struggled, trying to at least lessen the pain to make it easier to hold in the wails of pain that were bursting in his throat.
" WORTHLESS, I TOLD YOU TO GET YOUR ASS IN HERE!"
Don't make a sound, 'Ri. She'll hear you.
Don't let them hear you being weak. They'll have something to say about it.
He couldn't. he wanted to so badly but he couldn't. The pain was agonizing, he wanted to scream and fight so badly, but he couldn't. Even the slightest noise from his quivering mouth would be a death sentence.
There were so many broken bottles, so many shards of glass, so many random objects strewn all over the floor. The place was absolutely demolished, turned upside-down by pure rage.
There was a pile of devilish shards in front of the cabinet where the alcohol was usually kept, and his father flung him right onto it. A thousand blades seemed to be piercing his skin in that moment, a flood of pain overwhelming his body. He bit his cheek to keep himself silent so hard that he could taste blood. The colors that littered the floor all seemed to blend together, his head pounding with pain.
"WHERE THE IS THE DAMN ALCOHOL, HUH? WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO WITH IT?"
Each time he spoke, the words only echoed in Akari's ears as he held back pained sobs. "I-I don't-"
" 'I-I DON'T-' "
He mocked Akari before kicking a pile of shards his way, spraying the cowering boy with a rain of daggers.
