Suvansh was startled at the question, but answered promptly, "Oh, I'm reading this book about uhh unicorns by Mathew-" he trails of as he could already feel the girl's laughing. "It's quite good actually..." He couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

"Ooh magical beasts!" this caught Aurora's attention. Emerson smiles. She elbows Aurora in the ribs. "Don't show off." Aurora flashes her a grin, and the two girls start giggling randomly. "I wasn't showing off, I was just saying, that I'm kinda an expert." she says innocently. Emerson rolls her eyes.

Suvansh feels his cheeks heat up slightly. He just remembered the charms class, when Aurora introduced herself as Aurora Scammander, the daughter of Newt Scammander, who was the author of the prestine book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them". He joins in with the giggles subtly, but then a thought strikes him. How could she be the daughter of Newt Scammander? Last he knew, he was born over a hundred years ago, and wasn't alive for the past 12 years...So how? He doesn't ask it verbally, but his curiosity is evident in his eyes.

Aurora freezes slightly when she hears Suvansh's thoughts. Struggling to remain impassive, she continues with her boast. "Quiz me then." she challenges Emerson, who rolls her eyes again. "Nah, Suv, you don't mind quizzing her for me do you? I'm exhausted. See you tomorrow!" and with that, Emerson exits the room.

"I-um-ok-" ok that was sudden. Well, totally an Emerson thing to do! He thinks of a question, even though he wondered if he even needed to test her. He wasn't the one to challenge her knowledge. "Sooo...heres a question. What is the classification of Thestrals, and describe them in a single line, best you can."

Aurora answers the question immediately. (pretend she answers it right i dont feel like typing all that out) She runs her fingers through her now auburn hair, raising an eyebrow at his pink face. Remembering the girls taunting from earlier, she pauses. "He can't actually like me can he? He met me like, last week." she shrugs the thought off.

Suvansh seemed impressed but actually he expected nothing less. "Well I guess I could say Emerson you passed?" He notices her raised eyebrow, and feel his blush go redder. "Um- I- I should go now, Mehul would be waiting for me-" he says awkwardly, just as an excuse, even though he would actually be asleep by now. But he felt glued to his seat and didn't get up.

"Okay." Aurora says, shrugging. She goes up to the girls dorms and collapses on her bed. "Jeez." she murmurs, drifting off to sleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. Her dreams are scattered, and confusing. Flashes of light, purple fire. Aurora can't make sense of it and wakes up panting.

Now that Aurora was gone, Suvansh felt utterly embarrassed yet relieved. He just hung around on the couch for a while more, though he couldn't make himself to read more, and then went back to his dorm. As expected, Mehul was asleep. Suvansh didn't disturb him, and just laid down on his bed. It took him some time, but he fell asleep sooner or later.

Hours past. Aurora moves her hand around, feeling for her phone. 2 AM. "Grrrr." Aurora groans. She throws her phone back onto the table and covers her head with a pillow, now firmly awake. Emerson rolls over in the bed across from Aurora's but doesn't wake. Bitterness pierces Aurora. "Stupid nightmares."

Suvansh had a single dream that night. It was about his brother. He hadn't seen Rohit, nor had he written to him in more than a week, which made him a bit curious and fired some protective thoughts about him. It was something between a nightmare and a fantasy. He and Ro were walking down a meadow, much like the one they visited one summer a few years ago. They played some football, and then suddenly Rohit was gone, and he was in Hogwarts. And then suddenly he starts hearing Ro screaming, like he did when he had nightmares, and he couldn't reach him. That made him wake up. He messaged him immediately to know if he was fine, but noticed it was about 2 am, so just thought to do it later, not to scare him. He didn't suppose he could sleep now without missing classes, so he just got out of bed, changed his clothes, and went to the common room.

Aurora stares up at the red canvas over her head. Aurora turns over and pulls the blanket back over her shoulders. She feels tears well up in her eyes. "Is this place home?" she thinks to herself. Aurora draws in a breath. Sadness overwhelms her for a brief moment.

Suvansh just walks about in the common room for a while. He knew it was too soon to go out, and that the curfew wasn't over, but he just couldn't sleep. So, he took out a book. A book about metamorphmagus, legilimens, and animagi. He had taken it from the library a few days ago... but hadn't read it yet. So he started reading, and got totally engrossed in it. What intrigued him most was the animagi section. He knew a few animagus, professor McGonagall, the headmistress, and Miss Noriss, also known as Filch's cat were animagi. It still intrigued him though, and seemed right out of a story book. Well, didn't all of the wizarding world seem so? This, is when he decides he is gonna be an animagus. The book did not mention the whole process, but it did mention a Mandrake leaf, and a month of keeping it into your mouth. Ok, that seemed extravagant, but so was the output. Well, maybe in the summer break? He made a mental thought of taking a book completely about animagi next. For now, he read the other parts of the book. About a metamorphmagus...how they can change their appearance at will, and how natural legilimens could read people's minds without much effort. Could Aurora be a legilimen? Why was he thinking about Aurora literally around 3 am? He didn't know. But when he was done, he put the book back onto his shelf, to be returned later today, and just started watching some YouTube on his phone, on the couch of the common room.

After another half an hour of staring at the wall, Aurora gives up. She quietly stands up and takes her wand out. Pointing at the mirror in the bathroom, she whispers a spell she was taught at Illvermony. She stares as her reflection gradually changes. It becomes what looks like a window into a room. Aurora smiles, and settles down, watching.

Suvansh just watches some minecraft videos for timepass. He was literally just bored as heck but didn't wanna disturb anyone. Mehul did sleep early last night, so it wouldn't hurt to wake him up early, but not before 6 am he thought.

"Aurora, come on, its a Saturday, we're going down to Hogsmede!" Aurora groaned. Even after all her time in Britain, she still wasn't used to the timezone. "Go to hell Emerson, it's like 5AM!" Aurora muttered. "It's 9AM." Emerson snapped, grabbing Aurora's wrists and dragging her out of bed. "Hmph. I hate you." Aurora scowled. "Yes, I love you too. Maybe we can find some new books while we're there?" Emerson asked, throwing Aurora's fleece blanket back onto her bed. "Fiine." Aurora said with a huff.

Around 7 am, Suvansh finally gave into his instincts and woke Mehul up. "Let's go to Hogsmeade!"
"What the- what time is it even?" Mehul asked, annoyed.
"Eh around 700 hours, get up already!"
"700 wha-" then he has a look at his clock, and after some protest, Mehul says, "Whatever, but we'll be having breakfast first thing, at the Three Broomsticks."
And in a few hours, there they were browsing through books at Tomes and Scrolls. Both of them, Suvansh and Mehul, were big nerds. And then, as he had thought about last night, Suvansh wanted to buy a book on animagi, and so he did.

The cold air brush Aurora's blonde hair off of her shoulders. "Come on, I want to see if they have a special book." Emerson said urging Aurora to eat faster. "Hmph." Aurora said nothing but finished her pancakes. "Oh I heard they have a special edition copy of Fantastic Beasts, maybe you could get that?" Emerson suggested. Aurora perked up. "Lets go!" she said, instantly in a better mood.

As he paid the cashier for the book, Suvansh notices Aurora and Emerson enter the shop. He debated about approaching her, but he just took his book with him and went back to Mehul, who was still browsing for a book. "So didcha find anything yet?"
"Ahh I can't decide what to take- help meeeee"
So Suvansh looked about the shelves and noticed a book, "You could try that one, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Special Edition. Seems interesting?"
"Mm maybe" Mehul said, as Suvansh reaches for it.

Now that Aurora was out and about, she was glad she woke up. Bookstores always smell like books, which makes them nice places to relax and hang out in. "Auroraaa look at thisss." Aurora walked over to where Emerson was. Emerson was pointing to a book on advanced charms.
