“I’ve tried it before. I spent half a year plotting an escape route, then I escaped. But I hadn’t planned any further then that, so obviously I was caught. The masked man was furious. He whipped me 12 times as a punishment, I have the scars on my back. This incident was hushed up, so as to not encourage anyone to follow in my footsteps and actually escape. It doesn’t work though, I’ve found a way out, it’s risky but I’m willing to risk it. I haven’t left yet only because I want to free as many of you as possible.”

“Well, we need to brainstorm on what to do once we get out.” Murasaki said. “We must hide in a town that is nearby.” She explained, looking at Natasha. “We can’t call ourselves our numbers either, or people will get scared and give us away instantly.” She added.

“Yes, of course, we’ll continue this discussion another day. Irregular times, meeting places and tactics. So they don’t suspect anything. Goodnight, Murasaki” Natasha said, returning to her physical body to sleep.

“Goodnight.” She replied, still stroking her mouse. “I wonder how she, a human, is disappearing...” she said to her mouse. “What? She is projecting her soul?” She whispered in shock after the mouse told her. “I guess that explains why no one saw her earlier.”

Holding his breath, twelve plodded to the flap which had come to be his door, every muscle in his body tense - though whether that was with excitement or terror, none could tell. Gently pulling aside the flimsy fabric, his chocolate eyes scoured the landscape, searching for the guards; several meters to his left, having just passed him. Letting out a sigh, he sunk back into his home, allowing himself to close his eyes.
Having heard a commotion outside, Jake's curiosity had somewhat overcome him, urging him to explore. He had seen a pair of people unexpectedly dash into a single tent - a late night meeting of some sort, perhaps - and was rather perplexed as to what on Earth they were doing. Before he'd had a chance to find out, the guards had appread within his vision and he, too, had quickly scrambled inside his tent.
Now that the guards were gone, twelve had no choice but to investigate. He sped from his tent and leapt around the corner, now hidden behind the soldier-like row of huts. Turning his right ear towards the camp, he strained to listen to each in turn, before eventually hearing voices from inside one - a male and a female, neither of which he recognised. Smirking a little, he leaned forwards, listening into their conversation, but even then he heard only a few words - 'Masked Man.. fate.. meet up.. create a rebellion.' The words lit a certain spark in his eyes, inducing him to listen for longer, as he did.

5 laughed dryly, raising an eyebrow. "You'd think that the person with the highest track record of attempted escapes," she pointed to the number on the side of the ankle bracket, "literally has a power repressing device reserved for her," She stared at him incredulously, "wouldn't want to start a rebellion? That would be the best thing in the world." She sighed. "But the ones who do want to as well," she rested her chin on her hand, "aren't exactly the ones I'd pick. I doubt any of them have a proper plan."

He slept at the tree's base. His skin slowly turned to a brown.

Marusaki looked at the hole the animals were digging, and nodded to her mouse, who went over and told them to stop. They left, and the mouse came back. “You know, I never got your name in all the years I’ve known you.” She said, listening to him. “Mausu? That is a strange name. It actually means mouse.” She said sighing. “Well I guess the name ‘Purple’ isn’t any better.” She said, giggling a little.

He shrugged. “I wouldn’t be surprised or shocked if you did. My point is I doubt you’d want them to think you were, if not for your sake then for the sake of the others involved.” Sighing, he added, “Apologies. It’s none of my business.” This was ridiculous; he could only imagine what would happen to him if the guards found him out after dark speaking with 5, of all people. Almost subconsciously, he moved his left hand to tug down his right sleeve, an action so common for him that he no longer realized he was doing it.

5 nodded. "Nothing to be sorry about, it's not like we have much privacy to begin with in this cage." She smirked. "A, I know your eyes keep darting to the enterance because you want to leave before you're seen talking with me. B, That's why I work alone. I've been trying to get out since I was 4, eventually I'll figure it out." She flopped back against the bed, still watching him. "Haven't you ever wanted a normal life? To have a family?" Muttering to herself, "Even friends?" 5 continued. "My point is, I want all of us to have that. That's why I'm coming back after I get out of here. I'll figure it out, but I want evreyone to realize how suffocating this life is." 5 paused, and spoke. "If you want to, leave. Don't let the guards catch you fraternizing with me."

Maisu exited the mouse body with Marusaki’s help, and floated over to the other tents. He went on looking for Natasha.

Hesitating, then nodding, 19 turned towards the tent flap, but paused with his hand on it and his back turned to her. In a soft, strained voice, he admitted, “I had one, once, for longer than most. Trying to get back nearly killed me. I should probably clarify that I wouldn’t dream of standing in your way, but I hope you realize that I can’t ever help. I wish you luck.” He then stepped forwards and into the night, looking both way before slinking back to his own tent, his heart pounding. Attempting to push all memories of his former life from his mind, he found himself dwelling on those concepts; revolution, freedom. His arm seemed to sting a bit, as if to remind him what such thoughts brought upon those who entertained them. Sitting down on his bed, he shook his head to clear his mind and fell backwards onto the mattress.

With a small sarcastic wave, 5 watched the boy leave. Now that was interesting. Seeing things from the perspective of someone who was too scared to do anything, but wasn't exactly the "Oh, I love being stuck here because the Masked Man knows all" type. 5 didn't think she was going to fall asleep anytime soon. So she stared at the cloth ceiling of the tent, listening to the never-fading snores of the tents around her. Suddenly, 5 sat up. That was it. That was how she was going to get out of here. At first, she hesitated. No, it wasn't her conscious telling her that she would get others involved in trouble. Because it was their choice to risk it. Maybe, with their help, they could all get out. She snuck to the enterance. How in the world was she going to find out where they all were? Suddenly, she remembered. She at least knew where she could find one of the people who was so eager. Marusaki. She was always eager to please, would definetly be able to help. Plus, someone who was just 13 had her whole life ahead of her. 5 wouldn't let her rot away in this cage. Laying back down, 5 continued her staring contest with the ceiling.

{Timeskip y'all}

The next morning, 5 walked out into the center of the main area, kicking at a rock. The device's soft beeping was rather loud now as 5's enterance made the quietly conversing fall silent. Ignoring them, 5 walked straight up to Marusaki. "We need to talk."

Mausu returned from scouting out in the town the next morning. He gestured to show what he saw. “Ah. Okay. Let me draw this...” Marusaki said, pulling out her sketchbook and pencils, she began to draw what Mausu described. She finished her map a while later. “Oh! Yes?” She asked, finally noticing Mora. “I just finished drawing a map that Mausu described for me.” She said holding it up.

Not moving, 5 crossed her arms. She'd never thought she'd say this, she'd been working on her own for so long. But if she was going to do this, she needed to say it. So, for the first time, 5 sighed and said, "I need your help." She glanced around, then whispered, "If you ever want to get out of here alive, I hope you'll help me. I hate to admit it, but I can't do this alone."

Marusaki’s eyes looked like they had sparkles in them, and she whispered, “Yes!” A little loudly. Mausu looked at her and shook his head, trying to show her they, the spirits, were all she needed to escape. “We’re gonna need all the help we can get!” She whisper yelled at Mausu. “...Ohhhhhhhh... I get it... you’re a jealous spirit, aren’t cha?” She said, a smirk on face.

5 raised an eyebrow. She didn't know the girl that well, but she didn't know she was crazy. "Uh, kid, who are you talking too?" Maybe this was a bad idea. 5 didn't want to work with someone who was literally talking to nothing. Though, 5 wouldn't be surprised if she really was crazy. Who wouldn't be, living here? Still, it was concerning to say the least.

“Oh! Sorry! I forgot not everyone can see ghosts! I can use necromancy. Talk to, raise and control the dead. Usually, I can only raise small things, and talk to small things, but rarely, I can see human ghosts.” She explained, smiling, and hiding her drawing.

7 was already up and about, and drained as usual. She was back at her tree, a favorite spot of hers.
This time she sat cross legged and had her arms behind her head like a pillow. She watched the sky which was now lightly powdered with clouds. Though she would occasionally spare a look down at everyone else.

11 walked out, her arms folded “I see several loopholes in that map there. While your mouse can easily enter, you can’t, unless you’re incredibly small. I’m surprised though, you’re following my old route. That may not be such a good idea” she whispered, so only Maru could hear her.
