Not exactly sure what she was doing, she clenched her fist and swept her arm up through the air in a slicing motion. Jagged rocks burst up from the floor, smashing into the door and crumpling the metal. Her breathing was quick and panicked. She hadn't meant to do that. She was grateful she had, but she hadn't meant to. There wasn't any time to waste, though.
The Aurorus fusion ran towards the door, leaving icy footprints behind her. Slipping behind the metal, she darted into the hall. She only got a glimpse of the scientist before her new abilities reacted to her emotions once more, and as she took a step away from him, more Mist spun away from her hand, hiding her from view. Her momentum had come to a halt, though, and she pressed her back up against the wall, regretting now not thinking this through.
`` Miss, cease this at once!´´ he bellowed. `` You are already off to a bad start, and if things spiral out of control, I'll be forced to call in reinforcements. I'm only here to conduct a quick interview. Further experimentation will not happen until your answers have been processed. If all goes well, you will be moved to a more comfortable cell. If you keep up the good behavior, you will be released back into society.´´
Cash sat by himself near the firepit, poking at the charcoal absentmindedly. It was Day Three of his No-Electronic use journey, and he was surprised that he still retained part of his sanity.
`` If this goes on any longer, I'll probably start painting my face and ritualistically chant and dance around a pig's head´´ he sniffed to himself.
To be fair, at least he had formed decent relations with others at the camp, despite the reputation of both of his sisters. One was notorious for bullying both the older and younger camp members, and the other one refused to go out of her way to talk to people, which was unusually since she was the type of person to brag about all her lifetime achievement awards to those who would listen. Ah! How he missed the comfort of his own home.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a girl no older than 12 run in with a triad of pokemon. A Jolteon, a Lilligant, a Whimsicott, and what he believed to be a Serperior. Despite all her exotic pokemon, the most noticable thing about her was her jacket, tailored to look that that of her Whimsicott companion. Hm, this girl must be from Unova then! He had heard a myriad of tales about the region from his mother, it would probably be of his best interest to go talk to her.
`` OI!´´ he cried. `` FUZZY JACKET !´´
She didn't know yet exactly what they'd done to her, but her clothes had been strangely modified, her hair was a completely different color, and a veil, nonetheless, there were stones embedded in her skin, and not to mention these strange, Pokemon-like things she seemed able to do. She didn't want to be "released back into society", she wanted to become normal again. She also didn't trust this person in the slightest; even the quote-unquote "good things" about his statement might just be lies.
Slowly, she began to sidle down the hallway, keeping to the wall and trying to prevent her footsteps from making too much noise. The fact that when she looked down she could see that she was leaving tracks of ice wherever her feet touched the ground only strengthened her resolution. She had to undo this. Somehow. She had to quickly bite her lip to prevent herself from making any noise when her ungloved hand brushed against what seemed to be another metal door, burning hot. Pulling away and shaking it off before taking the time to slip on the glove again, she noticed that the Mist around this door had instead turned to steam. Was this possibly another cell? Was there someone or something trapped inside who had had done to them what had been done to her? Dare she attempt to destroy this door and free them? She didn't know if she had the time, and the noise would certainly further alert the scientist, maybe causing him to call for those reinforcements.
`` There are others here, and I need time to talk to them too. ´´ he added, taking off his glasses and wiping the mist off of them, knowing they were bound to get fogged up again.
For the first time, he could feel something on his back, it felt like something lifted off of his back. when he clanced back he stared at two leaf like wings, red in color, with fire like veins drawing through them ever so gracefully, yet they didnt seem really useful yet. Of course they werent. His wings seemed a bit crumpled, they´d need their time to straighten out and be useful, yet now he could slowly figure out what this... experiment was about
Making a similar action to that of before, she attempted to create more blades of stone to smash through the door. Instead, a bolt of electricity arced from her hand, impacting the door but doing nothing. Oh, peachy, she grimaced. She realized the light would have illuminated her silhouette through the mist. Stupid, stupid. If she could just concentrate on the fact that she wanted rocks, not electricity, maybe... there! With a loud crunch, the peaks of stone jolted up through the floor, striking the door to this other cell. Out of the corner of her eye, she realized her strange "hair" had flared out as she had done that, the edges turning a sort of orange. Her first instinct was to flee after destroying the door; staying and attempting to help this other unfortunate prisoner might lead to her being recaptured. Tundra couldn't bring herself to, though.
Despite all of her past experiences and against her better judgment, she pressed her palm against the door and shoved it forwards, which she was able to do due to its having been torn from its hinges. The heat from the metal could be felt through her white glove, so she didn't make contact for too long, just enough to accomplish what she wanted to.
Tundra almost imagined she could hear quickly receding footsteps. No, that wasn't imagination; goodness, had the scientist left? Surely it couldn't have been that easy... No, no, it most certainly wouldn't have been. He'd be back, and when he was, she had the feeling the results wouldn't quite be helpful for her wellbeing. "Anyone in here?" she forced herself to say, cringing away from the unfamiliar ring once more, taking a couple steps into the cell. Gosh, it was hot in here. A large shape could be made out on the floor as the Mist-curling-into-steam blew in around her, but she wasn't able to go any further; already she felt dizzy from the temperature. She'd never been particularly bad with heat before; this was probably a result of her little situation, too, wasn't it?
There were now noises coming from the cells around this one; how many others were there? How long would it take for the man to come back? Dare she try to get them all out? Maybe this person could aide her, if they so desired. Even then, which way was out?
The Mist, so he noticed, turned into Steam upon entering his room, ao He assumed that he really did heat it up quite a lot. No wonders, as far as he knew, Volcaronas usual Ability was Flamebody, so he'd assume that that was one of the reasons that could be used to explain this situation.
He then eyed the new figure in his line of sight, not as hidden in mist as the first person he could make out the shape of pokemon traits like one he had seen on his Vacation, he just couldnt remember well, his thoughts a little hazed from waking up after a long time of...resting. How many were there, Counting him in there were like around three now, and from the sounds he picked up there may even be more
