Mystin glanced back, then stepped right into it, slipping and
falling onto his back with a loud SPLOSH. "Wow. Just. Wow." he
complained. "Can't I ever manage to catch a break?"
"Okay. What exactly are we looking for?" she said, hopping over a
different puddle. "Riko, there's a chunk of debris about a foot and
a half in front of you from when the gym floor caved in. Move to
the left a bit and you'll avoid stubbing your toe." The Lugia
reached up and stroked Norbert, the Pidgey letting out a soft
cooing noise.
She chuckled. Glancing around, she noticed the faint silhouette of
what looked like they could possibly be branches off in the
distance to the north, about 50 feet. "Everyone head diagonally and
to the left," she called back.
"Po-tentially, or I just see some vines. It's hard to tell, I'm
about a 20/100 vision in night vision standards, as opposed to
20/20." (meaning she has to be 20 feet away from something that
could normally be seen from 100 feet away)
"Yeah, that seems to be about the general direction. Meka, there's
a vine hanging from the ceiling about to whap you in the face. Move
the the right and you should be clear of it, just turn back towards
the left after the equivalent of three steps."
Meka could feel the plant in front of her, come to think of
it...she moved aside. She could sense the presence of her friends
beside her, awkwardly walking around
Mystin kept walking forward. "a-" he stopped short as he slammed
into something hard-making leaves and vines rustle. "Bi bink I foub
the tree," he muttered, cupping his hands around his nose.
"Oh, that's really interesting," the Lugia said, turning. "It's
completely black; I couldn't see it." She froze. "Er, Mystin, you
might want to wash your face off. You're covered in black goop, I
guess from the tree."
