Almost immediately, a Pidgey landed on Tidal's head and refused to
leave. She shook her head and tried to push it away with her hands,
but nothing worked.
"She says she likes her new name," Tidal chuckled in response to
the Pidgey's cheerful chirping. She jogged after the Articuno,
hoping no one would stop them.
The little bird Pokemon still on her head, Tidal came to a stop at
the edge of the sinkhole. "Anyone who can't fly, I can levitate you
down there," she offered.
"I noticed. How ever did that work out?" she pondered whilst using
Psychic to remove the Pidgey from her head and set it on the
ground. "You can't come," she told it sternly. Norbert ignored her
and immediately flew back to its perch in the blonde woman's hair.
After trying this thrice more, Tidal threw up her hands in
exasperation and sighed, "Whatever. Fine." Her eyes glowed blue as
she lifted Mystin, Riko, and herself off of the ground with
Psychic.
She set them down at the bottom of the sinkhole. "That's Swablu,"
she said distractedly, surveying her surroundings. Finally
her enhanced night vision kicked in, and she was able to see
through the darkness, albeit only for about 10 feet in front of
her. "I think we found it," she muttered, stepping forward and
hearing the sound of wet moss squish beneath her feet.
"Perfect!" Mystin said. "That...is a horrible feeling." He
shuddered as his feet hit the moss. As they kept walking, little
did they know that Xaiver had also slipped into the Gym, and was
slowly making his way down...
"Mystin, puddle!" she called to the Articuno, who was headed right
for one, realizing that for the others the ground must look like
normal earth, while she was able to see the puddles and streams
dotting it.
