She sighed. She was ashamed of how she'd conducted herself. The others couldn't have know that they kept hitting all of the wrong nerves. "I'm sorry for being short with you..." she said, looking down.

It felt like Mystin hit her with a Thunder attack. She stopped dead in her tracks, the closest she'd been to tears since Spectral had had to leave. Mystin doesn't know, it's not his fault, she told herself, but it still stung. It was just a bad time, and she knew that, but all the same she had to bury her face in her sleeve to keep from crying. She choked, "H-Ho-Oh hasn't been around for... awhile."

Mystin was confused, and guilty as well. He hadn't meant anything by it, he just thought that she'd be happy to know where he was. "I-I don't understand...what happened? Why are you upset?" He frowned. "D-did I do something wrong? I'm sorry, I hadn't meant to do anything!"

"I- no, you didn't. It's... stuff...," she said, once more pushing back her emotions. "I'm sorry, you just caught me at a bad moment..." No one needed to know what had happened, how much she hated the world for its impurities, how she had begged Spectral to stay. It didn't matter, it would only make her more vulnerable than she already was.

"I'll leave you alone then about it...but just know, I'm always here if you need it." Mystin wasn't the best at these things, but he was learning. He didn't want Tidal to be upset. And if that took praying that Spectral would come back, Mystin would do it. Seeing someone upset, especially someone he had known for so long.

Meka had let her flareon form fade at this point. She didn't like the tensions going around about the whole plate thing. She wasn't sure who to suspect, if anything at all. Why would anyone steal the plates? It didn't make any sense.

Kate, after a good walk, couldn't help but inwardly smirk. She'd gotten off scot free for the most part. Only one person suspected her and it seemed like she'd successfully deflected the blame onto them. I'm lucky they're such idiots. She thought. She then glanced at Tidal. Then again... It was likely the only reason Lugia had sided with Shock was because of her connection with Ho-oh of the Johto region. In a way, Kate could easily 'suspect' that she had something to do with it. After all, Shock hadn't exactly made herself respectful when she desperately tried to accuse Kate. All in all, she considered this a success. Maybe she could slip this next plate, too...

Riko was close beside the others. Close beside Kate and Meka, who were on either side of her. The whole plate thing had left her shaken. She was shocked to find that there could be a traitor among them, when they'd started off so strong. She genuinely didn't believe it was Kate, Meka, Aurora, or Mystin. She was quite sure it wasn't Tidal...no way Xavier would injure her that badly if she was helping him, and who would help someone who put you in that state? It was likely not her. Shock had been the only one acting suspicious. No one who yelled accusations like that wasn't.

Tidal leaned cooly against a lamp post just outside of the entrance to the Celadon gym. She crossed her arms and watched the others approach, still trying to recover from the shock of the mention of Spectral. She didn't even really know why it had hit her so hard; she thought about him in passing frequently. But something about hearing someone suggest aloud that she go do the one thing she most wanted to, and couldn't, hurt her. She knew that she would have to put it aside, though, at least for now; she couldn't let her personal struggles cause her to lash out at the others any more.

Mystin nodded. "Right, so now that we're all here, how do we suggest we figure out where the exact location of the swamp is? Or at least, the tablet?" Mystin had never had much experience with plants, being, well, a bird.

"I have little to no idea. Wild Pokemon, perhaps?" the Lugia suggested, her tone dull. She could tell that she was drastically drained emotionally, but that was better than her previous state, at least.

Just then, three men raced up to the gym, joined by Machoke. A gym trainer greeted them. "Thank goodness you're here! There's a sinkhole in the middle of the gym!"
