The Lugia's jaw dropped. "Excuse me?" she said softly, her tone ice
cold. "You would accuse me of this? What POSSIBLE MOTIVE would I
have?!" Tidal could feel herself loosing control; a half-tornado
had begun to form around her, her eyes faintly glowing as she
unconsciously used Psychic. She forced herself to stop, the winds
dying down.
"I don't know, I just met you! What motive would I have? I got that
plate for you? Besides, why would I help Kyurem?" Kate countered,
glaring at Raikou and Lugia
"Who knows? Why would Zekrom or Reshiram? NOTHING makes SENSE!
Mystin, you've known me for the longest time. Does this HONESTLY
seem like something in my character?!" She could feel herself
dissolving into hysterics. She wanted to slap herself for trying to
leverage her connection to the Articuno in this way, as well as for
not being able to stand up for Shock for Spectral's sake.
Riko looked up at Shock, glancing at Kate. "I have to say, I agree
with Latias, Raikou. Screaming that it's her when she countered you
with evidence is awful suspicious." The zacian stated calmly
Kate glared at both of them, honestly leaning toward 'Shock is
Guilty'. Kate shrugged. "I'm just saying, you have no grounds to
stand on." She was honestly offended of being accused so quickly,
she had still helped them, after all, no?
Mystin looked up, tears in his eyes. "I don't know, Tidal. It
doesn't seem like something you would do. But why would anyone do
it?" He felt helpless to stop this.
Tidal leaned back against the wall, suddenly feeling utterly
drained by her fury and hunger. She was absolutely done with
dealing with these other Pokemon. She wanted nothing more than to
go home, to go back to her Pokemon form. To go back to Spectral.
She wondered where he was, whether or not he was okay. How long had
it been now, 10 years? 15? But she couldn't dwell on that now. She
focused on calming herself down before even beginning to
contemplate her next statement. Taking a deep breath, she said
cooly, "I doubt it's Shock, and I know it's not me, though that
doesn't count for much. Shock suspects Kate for her own reasons, I
for mine, Kate suspects Shock and I. It's unlikely that we are all
correct, and at this point in time, it doesn't seem that we will
come to a decision. I say we focus on finding this next plate, and
then we decide where to go from there." She finally managed to push
her anger to a back burner, estranging it from her words and tone.
"I find it suspicious how you're defending Shock." Kate muttered,
fuming. She went to sit beside Riko, who was looking sick and tired
of the infighting. "I'm quite certain it's the both of you."
"Agreed." Riko nodded. Yet she made a silent note to keep an eye on
Shock. Kate was right, she was...weird. First off, she'd been gone
for most of the plate gathering time, more so then Kate was,
second, she had been gone around the time they would have
been stolen, and she couldn't ignore the fact she seemed so
desperate to pin the blame on somebody else....
Mystin stood up, wiping the tears away. "The best place to start
would be the gym. There's supposed to be a underground swamp, it
might be near there."
"Yeah, let's get it over with," she said coldly. The sooner this
was over, the better. She was sorely tempted to just up and leave,
but she knew she couldn't do that to them. Not yet, at least.
