The young lady frowned. It was now obvious that the headmaster knew she was here; why he wasn't blowing her cover, though, she couldn't tell. For the moment, she had decided to stay hidden from the other students, if only to hear what was going on before committing herself to the school. She poked her head around the corner, withdrawing it again when the man had snapped his fingers, as, in most theatrical creations, that surely meant that a chance of scenery was in order. Strangely enough, she was right.
Another curse was muttered; because the lights were on, her spying was over, as her velvet red cloak would undoubtedly be seen against the plain walls of the gymnasium. She now only had her ears to rely on, though they had never been much good. With her foot still keeping the door from closing, she listened to the Headmaster, still deciding not to reveal herself to the crowd.
Having heard footsteps - masculine, steadfast, and rather hefty, by the sounds of it - she had listened closely, and, upon hearing their volume increasing, had quickly backed away from the door and hidden in the doorframe of a nearby classroom. Mentally, she cursed, realising that she had become unfocused and allowed her breathing to be heard. She pressed herself closer to the classroom door, and, slowly, slid her hand over to the handle. She tested it, unnaturally gentle, and barely stopped herself from sighing when it made no noise. Pushing it down all the way, she opened the door a crack and slipped inside, her gloves still trapping her hands in a cocoon of leather.
Just as Shiiro had finally thought she had earned some rest. Again, she jumped back, hearing and feeling a heavy hand set itself on the doorknob. Her muscles tensed, only to relax again a second afterwards. Desperately, she glanced around the classroom, but saw nothing other than tables and chairs. She was caught - so used to being the cat, though now it was as if she were being stalked by a dog. If she were trapped then there wasn't much she could do - simply wait, act as calm as possible and avoid conflict, she supposed.
So, with this in mind, she slowly wandered to the wall next to the door and leant on it, a yawn tearing at her mouth, whilst her arms automatically crossed themselves in front of her. A rogue slither of steam drifted away from her face, ascending to the ceiling and disappearing.
The only thing stopping Shiiro from ripping off her gloves and slapping this man in the face was the fact that they were positioned inside a school, and she deemed killing someone as 'un-child-friendly'. How dare he suggest that she needed a weapon to defeat a person like him? Her eyes planted firmly on the ground, and despite her thoughts, a smile dropped onto her face.
"I shan't be removing my cloak," she said, her voice light, fragile, sounding as if it could break at the slightest push. Her accent was heavily English, and overly posh for someone of the modern age. "And I am not currently in possession of said 'weapons'." Her voice was almost taunting in the way it slithered around the room, easily filling it. She didn't deny the whole 'you're trying to kill us' line, because her opinion depended on how this conversation went.
For a moment, he had stopped talking. It was a minute or two after Fredrick had left and only now he seemed to act. A blur suddenly took his place, then vanished as quickly as it came. The room was now empty expect for Myeo, Aliana, and the staff. He stood outside the classroom in which Fredrick and Shiiro had decided to enter, maybe waiting for them to come out? One knock... Two knocks... Three knocks... “Excuse me, may I come in?”
Her eyes clung to Fredrick's hand's movements, their dark tone shining slightly. "Now, why on Earth should I do that? I'd prefer simply to stand here, thank you." She grinned a little, but hid this with a delicate hand, which appeared from within the folds of her cloak. Perhaps she she should have done as the man said; he looked rather powerful, and unlikely to enjoy teasing. Her stubbornness demanded her not to move, though, so there she stayed.
It was at this moment that she heard the knocks. Three - the perfect number, she thought. The voice of the person behind it was also low; another male. She glanced at Fredrick, as if silently asking him what he thought the best option.
Silence. No response came from the door so far. Well, he didn’t want to be rude, so he didn’t make another sound. His annoyance was rising ever so slowly though, as if he was an impatient man himself.

Do you know what lies beyond?
Do you want to?
Or has your curiosity reached a nervous end?
