Goliath blinked as Regina attacked his ears with questions. His mouth opened, then closed again as he searched for something to say. Eventually he allowed himself to speak. "What weapons are you best with?" His voice was slower than before, his eyes more inquisitive. After a moment, Goliath realized just how much he was looking down at Regina, and how much the poor girl was craneing her neck. Kneeling down on one knee, Goliath managed to become mostly level with the girl.

Angie took out her staff and went to an open clearing to practice. She twirled it this way and that swinging it from side to side. She finally sat down and looked up at the trees in the swamp.

Regina's onslaught of questions came to a screeching halt. "Oh! Uh..." She pulled her set of throwing knives out of her bag, holding up to him. "These, hands down. Easy to carry, and good for both battling up close AND far away!" She then leaned forward and whispered. "Promise not to tell anyone this, but the real reason I like them is cause of all the cool tricks I can do with them." She flashed him a smile and a quick wink.

Mally held it carefully for a few minutes, staring at it wide-eyed. She gave it back to him and pulled out her own weapon, a long serrated knife. "This is my knife! I call him Fester."

Goliath examined the knives as they were held up. He knew next to nothing about blades, but the knives looked dangerous nonetheless. His mind wandered to the steel knuckles tucked just inside his shorts, studded with painful little spikes that let him easily shatter bones or blister skin. He blinked, then heard the final line of Regina's explanation. "Tricks? What kind of tricks?"

Angie walked out of the clearing and sat down away from everyone else.
Alex sat down by the front of the lab. She watched and waited.

The girl from earlier who had been sitting near Goliath opened her eyes. Throwing knives, huh? She stood up, crossing her arms and watching them talk. She was curious to know how that worked.

Angie pulled out a whittling knife and picked up a fallen branch. She started whittling a little pig. It took a while but she made it perfect. Perfect detail and everything.
Alex picked up pebbles. She started flicking them at random things.

Goliath's back straightened, his jaw setting. He turned his head, first one way, then the other. Spotting what he was looking for, he stood up again. Another girl was watching them, he had felt it when she stood up. He stood quietly, simply engaging in a staring contest with the watcher, his eyes asking what she wanted while screaming at her to leave. His glare was soon to follow, and the hulking body of Goliath turned fully towards the other girl.

"Well, I'm-" Regina cut herself off when she notice Goliath looking at something. Following his gaze, she saw a girl staring right back at him. "Oh, hi!" She said, peeking out from behind Goliath. "What's your name?"

Angie began whittling an entire farm. She whittled a barn, a farmer, fence, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, roosters, horses, and a tractor.
