Mally shrugged. "I don't really know. I've never really had a lot of choices in my life. Hm.. what if we go back, find a boat, and go see the swamp salamander island? They usually stay deep in the swamp, so I've never seen one before."

Goliath chuckled. "Try three heads next time. And what was that about not getting your hand bitten off? Oh, so sorry, have you tried having sharp teeth angled towards your neck?" The boy removed his steel knuckles and wiped them clean on the cloth of his shorts. "Against a wolfrabbit, you'd be fine. Against a Hydra? Without anybody to try and distract it for you, you'd be dead real quick." Goliath had taken a seat on a large rock and stashed his knuckles again.

Xailen rolled her eyes and smiled. "Okay, I'll admit it. You had it pretty bad out there. But even you know that you were more than qualified to beat it. I mean, you pounded that thing up like it was nothing! I, on the other hand, had to outlast it."


Mally bit her lip in worry. "Okay. Let's go then! We don't want them all to be taken."

"Another idea, have you tried making a side of those bombs sticky, or maybe make them puncture the skin and stick?" He leaned back over the rock and grunted a little as his back popped. "Then you could just throw it or sneak up and smack it on."

Giggling at their banter, Regina stood up, and brushed the dust off herself. "Hey, look on the bright side Xalien! At least you don't have to worry about cleanup!" As she said this, her hands yanked a knife out of the wall, then another, and another. "I swear, I spend more time picking these up and cleaning them than I do actually fighting with them!" She huffed.

Xailen laughed. "You might want to make sure they're all in the same place. That way it's faster. Throwing knives are always hard to keep, though. Just be glad you're not in Malince, though. I heard that they live in a swamp."

Goliath sat up, using a fair bit of momentum to lift himself off the rock. "A swamp, eh? Isn't that where you find Salamncers?" Of course, he'd meant swamp snakes. But he's always grown up with the word 'salamancer'.

Xailen nodded. "I mean, most of the monsters that are smaller are definitely quicker. But if they are large, there's a good chance that they will be slower and easier to catch."

The boy held up 3 fingers and slowly counted down. "3..2...now!" He grabbed a blunt club that had been hanging from his back. "Let's drive em out!"

Angie stabbed her staff in the ground and flung herself into the air, so she landed on the salamander’s back. She strapped a lead onto it’s head and hung on. She got it under control, and used it to help drive the others out.

With Angie's help, the others made quick work of the Salamanders, who had been caught by suprise, driving them through the muddy water and plants until they were past Malince Territory.

He thought a minute. "You did really well today, but you'd have to ask Arthur. Plus, Salamanders are pack animals. He'd book it the first chance he got to go find his pack.
