Benjamin sat up and looked at Max. "Or maybe it's not for the weak.
It depends on your point of view. Y'know, I heard it may even be
repellent for the weak willed. What do you think?" He grinned some
more, then sprouted a tail and stood up, jumping in a flipping
manner so he could hook himself to the ceiling.
Boreas sighed and flicked another page of his book. "Maniac, don't
tell me you plan on swindling your away around another detention
because of a lack of homework."
Max shrugged and held up his hands. "Buuuuut, Homework. Is. Boring.
And. I. have better. things. to. do." He wiggled his fingers in
jazz hands. "And I know every way to get out of detention that
there is!"
Boreas smirked and looked back at his book. "I'm sure you do,
Maniac. Meanwhile, on the other hand, there's no way to get out of
Kyleen's wrath, when she finds out you haven't even touched our
Healing assignment."
"You're lucky I didn't tell you to finish it by tomorrow. If you'd
just pay attention in class, you'd breeze through the book like
nothing." Boreas leaned down and grinned. "Or can't you rise up to
the task, Pizza Maniac? Going to run away to the cafeteria, gorge
your worries away with pizza again?"
"Well, you wouldn't be stressed if you'd just do the god
forsaken homework!" Boreas snapped, then sighed. "Gods...why am
I getting worked up over a dunderhead like you?...ah, whatever. I'm
going to go check on the greenhouse, see if Fauna's there."
Max shook his head. "Yeah, whatever." Fauna was pruning some of the
plants in her greenhouse. She was so concentrated on it that she
did not notice Boreas come in.
"Hey, Fauna," Boreas called, leaning against the entrance, toying
with a miniature ice sculpture version of Feathers. "What's up?
Still pruning at your pointless plants?"
Fauna sighed. "Yes, I am. And I did notice that alliteration, by
the way. As for the plants, they are not pointless. I could give
you many reasons why these plants are important."
Boreas grinned. "I'm sure you could." He dissipated the mini ice
Feathers and strolled in, occasionally fingering at a particularly
interesting plant. "So. What rando plant have you found today? Some
Monkey Tail? What, a Smoky Star?"
"Ah, the Troublemaker. The silly plant with attitude to rival the
Maniac. Hard not to remember such a character," Boreas quipped,
then sighed. "I'm honestly just bored. It's been so...bland, around
here. Nothing interesting happening at all. It's getting strange,
tuning out an explanation in Combat class and yawning at a judo
flip."
Boreas winced slightly. He shouldn't have brought that up.
"Yeah...whatever you say. Anywho, the cafeteria's open. And you
look like you haven't seen a shred of cheese for weeks. So?" Boreas
grinned invitingly, and waved a hand towards the entrance. Whadya
say, Little Miss Shrub?"
