The Silkwings pounced on Ember, waving their sharp things in admittedly rather expert attempts to slice her hard scales

Ember hissed at them, while trying to call to Cloudsong for help.

Cloudsong changed course and flew towards her friend "okay don't run away don't run-"

While scared, Spiri stayed and watched the dragons fight. If this was an organized battalion, then there must be others...best not to move. She stayed wary as the dragons clashed. It was hard to tell who was winning.

Cloudsong breathed a few fireballs, all of them which missed the Silkwings.

Ember mouthed 'Pathetic' at her.

It was then a hivewing stabbed his tail into Ember's back with a hiss.

Spiri shrank back a little, fluttering her wing nubs. She wished she had been born with wings like her father.

Cloudsong tried to fight them off, but was failing badly. "Why did they send the Skywings first?" She whispered "I'd rather be captured than dead-"

A HiveWing captain called out. "We don't need to kill all of them, just teach them a lesson!" As a HiveWing jabbed a wrist stinger at Cloudsong.

Spiri could only watch helplessly. She was sure no one was looking, so she made a break for it, fleeing the scene

Cloudsong might be able to see the flash of unusual shiny white scales disappearing through thick foliage.

Cloudsong just managed to see the scales. Her first thought was 'maybe the Icewings are here to help', before thinking 'But I don't think I saw wings..'

Spiri hoped the rustling made by her was hidden by the sounds of battling... she could only hope there wasn't blood on the sand tomorrow. Probably not.

Cloudsong looked at the Rainwing part of her scales. She managed to make them change from purple to blue, trying to find a window of opportunity to follow the dragon

Most of the HiveWings were focused on Ember and the other SkyWings...only the one HiveWing and the troop of SilkWings were attacking Cloudsong.

As she made it to the foliage, the Pantalans didn't appear to know what hit them. Through the plants, Spiri's scales flashed before vanishing again.
