Kenzie looked up at the mansion in awe. She knew it was grand, but wow, it was even more spectacular in person! She stepped up on the porch, before some rustling noises caught her attention.
"Hello?" She called out.

Alice was walking among the halls when she heard the sound of voices. Her usually wide grin got even wider. This was going to be fun. She skipped down the halls, giggling as she went to find Unknown.

The Unknown blew a cloud of smoke from its lips, then watched as it floated up.. No, down from where it was. Hanging from a banister on the stairs, it tilted its head. Voices, footsteps... Curious. Silently, it reached up and grabbed the banister with its arms, then turned itself over and lowered slowly and silently to the ground. It might have been eerie, even terrifying to a human, yet there were none to witness the display. Letting go of the banister, the tall spirit-creature turned around to face the hallway.

Alice stopped when she saw Unknown. "Oh Unknown! You heard the voices, right? There's humans! I'm so excited!" Alice jumped up and down, giddy with excitement. It had been so long since humans had come to the House.

The Unknown glanced down, the held up one finger to where its lips would be. Ducking down, it moved its lanky body through the doorway and into the hallway, turning for the front door. Its long legs moved slowly, but it sill moved very quickly towards the destination it had in mind. It exhaled a second long puff of smoke, which trailed down the hallway after it.

Skipping happily, Alice hurried over to the hall leading away from the front door and hid in the shadow. She picked up a pack of cards and watched as tendrils of greenish-black crawled up the cards. She couldn't wait!

Raising an eyebrow, the blonde peeked through the door. There was nothing. She shrugged, then walked inside. It was incredibly dark indoors, so she took out her phone, flicking on the flashlight app.

The sound of footsteps sent a shiver down Merle's spine. Instinctively, he sunk into the shadows even more, if at all possible. He sat there, nervously waiting for whatever creature was heading this way.

The Unknown watched as Alice sped ahead, then turned the corner into the door room. Exhaling a long puff of smoke, the Unknown got close to rounding the corner. Then, a light turned on. Flinching at the sudden brightness, it nearly stumbled backwards. Catching itself, it stepped forwards again, allowing its large and lanky body to become illuminated. Looking down at the human that had entered, the Unknown exhaled another long puff of smoke. The smoke seemed to pour from a mask it was not wearing.

Alice could not contain her excitement. She fanned out the cards in front of her face, poised and ready. When she saw the beam of light, she could not help herself, and gave a small giggle, which seemed as loud as a shout in the empty hallway.

Kenzie coughed and covered her face as the puff of smoke hit her. When it cleared, she opened her eyes, only for them to widen. She stared at the creature in front of her, her neck craning to see its face, or lack thereof. A sudden noise made her jump, and her phone went descending to the floor.

The Unknown crouched down, moving slowly and cautiously, much like a snake before it strikes. One hand reached slowly forward, picking up the phone and lifting it up. examining it closely. As the light came into view and hit where the Unknown's eyes would be, it dropped it, flinching back and making a hissing gurgling sound.

Angie runs over And snarls at the phone stomping on it with powerful blows from her front paws. Soon it’s just a bunch of broken fragments on the ground.

"H-hey! Th-that was my phone!" Kenzie snapped. She quickly covered her mouth, regretting her impulsive words. Her violet eyes squeezed shut, and her breathing quickened its pace as she stood in the darkness.

Angie switched to a girl. “Well, well, well. What do we have here? A human? In our house?” Angie looked from The Unkown to Alice. “Let’s give her what she came here for.” (Whispering) “a good old scare!”

The Unknown seemed to be blinking, although it didn't have eyes. Both of its hands were against the wall, and it was staring somewhat at an empty space on the ceiling. Its tall body was pressed into a the corner, the pale and minimal flesh seeming to fit there perfectly. Slowly, it declined its gaze to settle on the girl once more. Another cloud of smoke drifted from its face, then settled at its feet and stayed there, even through it should have simply clouded around in the air.

Angie turned back into a girl and fell onto the ground. She sank her hands into the ground after she turned into a ghost of a forest sprite. Vines crept closer to the human girl and when they got close enough, they started to wrap around her legs. Then she let go. She stared ahead got up and ran towards another room.
In the other room she sank down and cried. She had finish this. Generation after generations of creatures had scared humans away, but she didn’t want to do that. She wanted to be friends with this girl. But when she sees a human, it’s like something controls her mind.
