You wake up one morning. Or, do you? It's still dark outside...you check your clock. It's 9:00 AM! But...it's black as night outside...a black starless sky...

For context, you aren't a trainer...yet. The big day is in just a few months, or so you thought. Seems a certain...thing is making that day come faster....

Back to the story. You go out for the day, all your neighbors are confused, panicking, even. "Why is the light gone?" "What's going on here? Where is the sun?" You agree, it's supposed to be light out. It was supposed to be a normal summer day...plus it was fine just the day before...

As you go further out, to the restaurant area, you find the sky is blue and the sun is shining. No one suspects a thing. You start to believe you had just imagined the darkness thing. You go about your day.

But...as you come home, the sky is still black and starless around your neighborhood. You assume it's because it's late, despite the fact that it's only 7:00 PM. You walk into your house and walk into your bedroom.

It was then you blacked out

You wake up in a forest, and a voice whispers to you. "I knew this would happen..." You look around, but can't find the maker of the voice. "The darkness is spreading! Help us, chosen!" You wake up in bed, a pokeball firmly in your hands, containing a Pokemon of Legend. You are a chosen one, you will meet others, and by combining your powers, you will work to save the light. Your light, that's fading before your eyes.

She looks at the Pokéball curiously and fixed herself in her bed cross cross applesauce and then thought “ woah being a chosen one that’s weird “ and set the Pokémon on her night stand and then stood up and quickly got changed and then let the Pokémon out wondering what it was

Out of the Pokeball came a Type: Null, who turned to her as it was unleashed, looking through it's mask straight into it's new trainer's eyes.

Meanwhile, Snowflake was still laying down, surprised to still be in bed. Though she wasn't looking at it, she could feel the smooth, cold surface of the pokeball in her hands, the pokeball that hadn't been there before. Now, Snow had never been very superstitious, things like prophetic dreams always seemed the stuff of science fiction to her. Yet the Pokeball was real, in her hand...or was it? She pinched herself, hard. Wincing at the pain and not waking up, she shook her head. "Nope, not dreaming." She pushed herself into a sitting position and looked at the bright red, shiny capsule in her grasp. Though the surface was heat-sucking, she could feel an energy from within the Pokeball. A hot energy, in fact. A burning eternal flame. The Pokemon inside was fire type, no doubt.

Still clutching the Pokeball firmly, she slid out of bed, heading to her largest room, the living room, to release her new Pokemon. The room was as vast as her hous could get, with a high ceiling. Best thing she could hope for without walking into the void that was the outside. Honestly she had no idea what to expect. The message in the dream had been so...vague, but she knew the pokemon had to be strong...if she was supposed to save the world from darkness or whatever. "Alright, here goes..." She muttered, and rolled the sphere into one hand, and slowly pressed the button in the center, releasing her new best friend. Her new partner.

Prism woke with a start, sitting up. Help us, chosen! The dream played over in her mind a couple of times, letting her analyse every detail. She didn't even notice the pokeball in her hand until five minutes later. Biting back her shock, she got up, inspecting the pokeball - it appeared to be ordinary. Shaking her head, she placed it on the drawer. This couldn't be real - it was someone messing with her, or it was a dream, or... Well, it wasn't real. All of yesterday must have been a dream, too. But then again... She eyed the pokeball, allowing her curiosity to overtake her. In one swift movement, she picked it up and allowed the pokemon inside to come out; if there was even one in there.

In a flash of light, the pokemon emerged from its capsule, raising it's head to stare down at the trainer from its glorious full height. The creature was a beautiful blue deer. The woodland god of life, Xerneas. It's antlers almost filling the entire room. Even while not in it's colorful active form, the creatures mystic look was super.

Back in Snowflake's abode, a winged dragonic goddess was emerging. In a ball of blue light that turned to a large lump of white feathers. As the creature spread its wings, revealing it's face, fiery blue eyes met with Snowflake's own. She gazed at it, awestruck. Was this...? Reshiram. Her hands trembled at the very sight of it. The dream was real! She had some sort of destiny chosen by some divine, higher power! She had to clutch the ball tighter and breath before taking a baby step closer to it. "Resh...Reshiram?" She stammered, her voice failing her.

Prism yelped, and instinctively threw something at the Xerneas - a book from the shelf next to her. It bounced off harmlessly, with Prism staring at it. "Er..." She cleared her throat. "Hello, Sir Xerneas..." Shaking her head, she scolded herself for acting so strange and forced herself to think. She couldn't have caught this creature of the woodlands - it must not be real. A Zorua, perhaps. Or it wasn't there at all. She took a careful step forwards and poked it, before letting out yet another yelp as she felt fur. "Oh, jeez. Um..." Not knowing what to do, she stood there staring at it, her conflicting thoughts battling inside her brain.

Type Null and Xerneas started at their respective trainers, straight and regal. "Welcome." The trainers, being in different places, wouldn't understand, but they spoke in sync. "The light is fading from the sky, the land, everything, so we've had no choice but to bring heroes to stop the spread of darkness. Each legend has chosen their own hero. Only the pure hearted will be chosen. We request, not demand, that you help us. Find the other trainers and fight with us. Otherwise you may discard the pokeball, and we shall not bother you again. I have faith in you, trainer, that you will make the right decision." They dipped their heads as they finished speaking."

"Uh... Right..." Prism was still staring at the Xerneas, awestruck. Out of all the people it could have chosen, it came to her, which rather baffled her. What characteristics did she show that others didn't? She shook her head, again, deciding to try and improve her first impression. Standing up straighter, she spoke clearly, "I will, of course, help you to the best of my ability, for I do not wish that this world would perish." She realised then that this was how she usually talked; how her mother had taught her to talk. "I believe you told me to... Find the other trainers, yes?"

Akine opened her eyes and sat up, looking around. Then, her sight fell onto the pokeball in her hand. 'What's this?' she thought, looking at it

From Akine's pokeball, a fierce presence could be felt, coming from inside the capsule, balled up and waiting to be unleashed.

Xerneas nodded, speaking to her individually now. "Yes. They have been instructed to seek you out as well."

Snowflake gazed at Reshiram's flowing horns and bright blue eyes and nodded, feeling small in its presence. "Of course I'll help." She clutched the pokeball, not wanting to let go. She went to the door to the outside, opening it to a pitch black sky. By now it was 7 AM, long before the sun usually came up. She returned Reshiram briefly to her pokeball and took a deep breath. "Time to find the others, right?" She whispered into the capsule. The pokeball shook up slightly, as if Reshiram inside was nodding.

Prism nodded. "Well, I'd best not linger, then." Returning Xerneas to it's pokeball, she swept outside, again greeted by an ominous black sky. With a sigh, she looked around - a few others were appearing, as well as those still staring at the sky. She turned, tossing hair acroos her face, to look at her row of houses, above which hers stood, slightly more... Expensive. It was larger, cleaner, and generally looked like something a famous person would live in. Not that it impressed her. She allowed her eyes to slip to her neighbours, seeing which of them held a pokeball and looked rather stunned.

Snowflake walked out into the sidewalk. Not only was the light gone, but it was just as cold as if it were nighttime outside. Snowflake glanced back at her house, hesitating before running inside and coming back out with a black sweatshirt, in the pocket of which she stored Reshiram's pokeball. She sighed again as she started walking down the street, not sure what to look for. She was never a social person, so this might be hard. Snow suddenly started to feel the pressure of this weight that had so suddenly been forced upon her, maybe just slightly regretting the decision to agree to help.

Eturnatus's pokeball began to shake violently in Akine's hands, as if demanding to be opened.

There. Prism followed the girl who had just left her house, walking quickly to catch up. She slid Xerneas' pokeball into her pocket before saying, when she was close enough, "Hello, ma'am. I do believe we are currently in the same situation. You have recently acquired a Legendary or Mythical pokemon, yes?" She stood tall and proud, with her nose turned up slightly, as if to suggest disliking.

Snowflake didn't turn, her blue eyes just shifted to the side to rest upon the girl who had spoken. Immediately she started judging. Didn't Reshiram say something about only the pure of heart being chosen? So how was this girl possibly in the same situation? She didn't like the vibes of this weirdo, though she did a spectacular job of not showing it. With a straight face, she replied. "So maybe I have. What's it to you?"

Enternatus emerged from it's pokeball, it's intense gaze resting on its new trainer.
