Zander watched for a moment, then piped up. "Hey hey hey! Lookit! The smaller ones are reforming!" He was jumping a little, pointing and waving his other paw. He took off at a sprint, kicking at the piles of goop, kicking at them.

I had to make a split decision, to either help and go with the others to safety, or to come back even in my injured state and fight. I chose to fight, and I really hoped that the others would get away safely, As I turned around and saw Zander kicking frantically, I went to help him out. A flamethrower completely dissolved two of them, and just a running tackle meted the other one. I could run now, as Zenki was holding his own with the bigger beast. I turned back to Maggie, and together we ran towards the forest, and towards safety.

*MK looked around and saw the horde of creatures surrounding them, there were only two options, retreat, which he hated, but would do if necessary, or stay and possibly get injured or killed*

Hikari began shooting magical lasers from the pencil at the beasts, and they all dissapeared. “They’re gone for now, but there might be more. We should get out of here before we get surrounded again. Here, follow me.” Hikari began going east.

Zander sprinted ahead, his nervous energy compelling him forwards, combined with his enhanced speed. He disappeared for a while, then a loud cry rang out from ahead. It sounded like Zander for sure.

Zander was kneeling in front of a tree, looking like he was crying. His upper body was shaking. He didn't notice the others, specifically Meta Knight, above him.

Zander looked up, then turned his head, looking at MK. His face around his mouth was smeared in... Something. He also was holding something else in his paws, but his slightly chubby body was hiding it. He swallowed something, then asked, Why.. Wouldn't I be..? "

Zander's eyes popped a little further open. "Uhm.." He pulled it a little closer to his body, then pointed one hand at the tree. " C-cacao pod... " He looked ashamed when he said it.

I came virtually unseen out of a tree a few yards away "What is that?" I gasped as my side sent another wave of pain through my body, and I realized it was bleeding heavily. "Those things are awful ,but e need another place to stay until we have fully recovered, Hikari, would you please show us where to go that we would be safe?"

Zander blinked, then shrugged a little and went back to eating it, licking up both the cacao butter and the nibs, crunching them after separating them from the cacao beans. He didn't seem to mind the bitterness at all.

Zander looked up, then gestured to the tree, a few green and yellow pod stuck around the main trunk, just below where the branches started. About waist high, easily collected.
