Today is the day that you collect your very starter Pokémon from Prof. Laura, but wait, in your excitement you drop everything that you wanted to take with you! You tidy it all up but you're already late. When you get to the lab, Laura tells you that all of the original starters had been taken! You were about to give up hope when she tells you that they had received 3 other of Pokémon of that you could use as your starter. They are:
1. Darumaka, a fire type

2. Staryu, a water type

And lastly, 3. Cottonee, a grass and fairy type.

You begin to think about your life changing...

The thudding of footsteps could clearly be heard as Rita leapt down the stairs, her bag dangling on one arm. “Bye, mom!” She yelled to her mother before shooting out of the door. The lab was that way, wasn’t it? Rita looked around for a second before running off. She always prided herself on being early, so this was horrible for her.

"Oh geez i'm so late!" Said Asagi as she quickly brushed her hair straight of tangles, grabbed some bread, and ran out the door, heading for the lab where she would be getting her starter

Alexia snorted out of her sleep, bolting upright “purienon!” She mumbled groggily, throwing on her emerald, ruby, and sapphire clothes set and shooting out the door

The three original starters were Spheal, Ponyta and Bellsprout. Sophie was dying to pick Spheal.

Rita finally got to the lab. Two other people were already there. Panting, she began to slow her pace to a walk, knowing stopping immediately after running wasn’t a good idea.

Asagi saw the lab and ran towards it, stumbling and almost falling, she went inside, glad to see the professor and two other people there 'so i'm not the only one that's late' she thought, panting

As Alexia barges into the lab, she stumbles into Sophie, about to choose her starter.

Prof. Laura: I'm afraid you're to late. All of the starter are gone. But we received a delivery full of 3 of the same Pokémon species, you can choose them as your starter. Would you like to choose one of them instead?

Rita shrugged. “You all have your merits and downfalls.” She remarked. “Darmanitan would be a strong, but risky attacker. Starmie would be a tank but not have as much damage output. Whimsicott is a good support pokemon but useless against Poison types.” With a shrug, she picked up Cottonee.
