The best way by far to get more value out of your shiny hunt is to get premium. You don't have to pay the 50k for the Pokeradar per hunt, you can get more than one shiny per hunt, you have increased odds to hatch a shiny, etc. Although I would not buy only one week of it, anywhere from one month to a year is definitely worth the nuggets! Plus, if you get premium, you can buy flutes and mega cuffs for less than you would without premium!

There are many different hunts to do, including normal shiny hunts, shiny mega hunts, legend hunts, and event hunts. I would only recommend doing these bigger hunts if you have premium, otherwise they will take way too long and you will most likely not get much value out of them. But here is a little overview of them all and how you should hunt them if you decide you want to.

I classify normal shiny hunts as Pokemon that do not have a mega evolution, are not events, etc. These hunts tend to get the most value out of shinies. Most shinies from normal shiny hunts can get you anywhere from 50k to 300k, depending on rarity and the amount of evolutions and stuff. If you do not have premium, these will most likely be the majority of your hunts. Some good hunts for this section would be something of high rarity and a lot of evolutions/forms, such as Eevee and Castform. Usually, the higher the rarity, the more you can sell it for, and the more evolutions it has, the more shinies you can sell.

Shiny Mega Hunts are some of the most time consuming hunts imaginable. But they do have their perks! For example, you can sell shinies AND mega-ables along with a Shiny Mega if you are lucky enough to get one! Although your shinies will only sell for about 10k-30k each and your mega-ables will only sell for 5k-20k each, you get so many that you could make anywhere from 50k to 200k per day (depending on luck obviously). And if you do manage to hatch a Shiny Mega, you could sell that for a lot (usually a couple million, price depends on rarity). These hunts should only be done if you have Premium, as if you don't, you will only be able to get one shiny (that isn't worth as much as you paid to start it) out of it.

Legendary and Event Hunts are also very time-consuming, and can be very expensive to do, but they can get you some good value out of them. For example, a Cosmog hunt would probably cost about 10 million to start (about 100 Nebula Stones costing about 100k each), but every shiny you get could sell for about 8 million PD. So as long as you hatch one shiny every 80 eggs after max chance, you are still getting good value out of it. As for event hunts, there are two ways to hunt them. If you have premium and a lot of Event Points, you can get free event eggs until you get a shiny from the Event Shop until you get a shiny. This is the easiest way to hunt events, but it can cost a lot if you don't have event points saved up. The other way is to daycare hunt them. This hunt is the same as most daycare hunts, except you will need an Egg Scanner to scan all eggs before you can adopt them, as you will get Event eggs as well as normal eggs. This is very time-consuming, as you will probably average 1 egg a day, if not less, but it is very cheap to do.

The Tall Grass is great for shiny hunting. All you have to do is make a one-time purchase to get the chip for the rarity you need and then you can (theoretically) get unlimited eggs. Do be aware, the Tall Grass gets eggs from people that forget to claim that species from their daycare, so if it's a newer or unpopular Pokemon, odds are, there won't be many of that Pokemon in the Tall Grass. What can be a good strategy, especially when you're on a long hunt, is to get a friend that isn't using their daycare and give them a breeding pair (and some PD if you're nice :P) and ask them to just not adopt the eggs so that they'll go to the Tall Grass and you can get them for yourself!

The Fountain is a very useful tool even when you aren't shiny hunting. It can give you an increased shiny, mega-able, or breeding chance, or it could give you nothing. But it only costs you 100 PD per day, which is extremely cheap, and even if it gives you nothing, it only costs a few interactions to make that money back.

Although egg storages can get very expensive, they are definitely worth it, especially if you plan on doing a longer hunt, such as a legendary or daycare-only event hunt. You can save eggs to get an extra head-start once you decide to start your hunt. You can also save yourself if you accidentally get a Lab egg or something. No matter how you choose to use it, egg storages are a must if you are able to afford them.

A great way to sell your sell your shinies is to join a shop or, if you can't find a shop that's looking for breeders, create your own! If you are in a shop, you can find a lot of people who are willing to buy shinies from you! Also, you can set your own prices and give discounts whenever you want!

The quickest way to hatch your eggs is when a lot of people are interacting. This usually happens during SCS and when Events first start up, since the easiest way to get events are interacting. But during SCS, you can make the choice to interact a lot and hatch less eggs or keep changing your eggs as they hatch, but don't interact a lot. It's up to you, but if you need to hatch eggs quickly, definitely keep adopting, as they will hatch extremely quickly!

Just some extra stuff. Putting the female before the male in Daycare can increase your egg output. Also, interact a lot. Interacting not only helps the people you interact with, but it can help you get eggs on the Index Page and a lot of people like to return the favor, so it will help hatch your eggs faster.
