What they didn't see was that Plasma wasn't hurting the mareep, just trying to scare it. They listened to its cries and shoved its face into the ground

Drill had been asked by his trainer to search the cave for Maven. She was worried that. Maven had something bad happen to him. Although Drill and Maven never got along, Drill went in the cave to search for Maven

Maven didn't think anyone would be that cruel "Leave it alone! Your gonna make it cry!"

The mareep was giving off electricity that Plasma promptly stored. No one was coming to stop them, so they turned deaf ears to the others' cries and continued

Ally glanced at Ruby with a slight smile. For some reason, that kid reminded her of her own childhood and how cheerful she was.

Drill made it to the throne room. "So this is where all those gems were huh? Did Maven some how get lost? Stupid bird." He said to himself. Where was Maven? Did something happen?

Maven smiled at Scratchy. "So you and that Alolan Vulpix work together or something?" He liked how much they all interacted here.

After they had finished, Plasma left the exhausted-looking mareep alone. They bolted back toward the rooms from before, the crackling of electricity sounded as they went.
