Unaware she was being tracked, Aurora entered the rainforest in search of the rest of her family.
She hoped Queen Glory wouldn’t be as merciless as the other Queens. She had a good reputation, but so had Queen Thorn, before she sent an assassin out to hunt the hybrids.

Doomhunter kept following the Icewing-Rainwing hybrid. If she got to Queen Glory she would be safe. He just watched, his eyes tracking her movements.

Pine shook her wings out. "If we want to leave, we should do so now, before Leafwings come to hunt us down." I know a place we can travel to get to Pyrriah without flying over the ocean.

Brimstone tilted her head and looked at Pine. "Is it that tunnel near the Hivewings? My mother says that's how my father to Pantala."

"No, my father was an animus so he made a tunnel from the Poison Jungle to just outside the Ice Kingdom border." Pine replied.

Aurora raced through the trees, trying to remember the path to her childhood home. When she reached the tree cabin, she called, “Mother? Shine?!”
The house was empty. Had they been taken already? A letter lay on the table, and Aurora remembered Shine telling her at one of their forbidden meetings that Lyrebird, their mother, wrote a letter every week to their father, Blizzard, even though they couldn’t be sent. She touched the ink mournfully, and realised that it was still wet. *I could still save them!*
She rushed outside, and crashed into a light blue dragon. “Watch where you’re goi...” she started, before embracing the offender. “SHINE!!!” Her sister was there in the scales. “It’s been so long!”
“You’ve grown so much!” Shine shrieked.
“So have you!” replied Aurora.

"Actually, I think it'd be safer in the Rainforest. I hear that Queen Glory's mate is Deathbringer a Nightwing. She probably wouldn't kill hybrids due to it." Pine told the dragons. "Brimstone, do you know where the other tunnel is?"

"Yeah. My mom showed it to in case something like this happened. Let's go!" Brimstone said before rushing off in the direction of the Rainwing tunnel.

Brimstone guided Pine and Nightshade to the tunnel. "Here it is" she called to them. "The Rainforest is on the other side"

Pine led the way through the tunnel. As she emerged on the other side, she was overwhelmed by the sight of the Rainforest. It had lots of colors and definitely wasn't dark like the Poison Jungle. *It looks beautiful.* Pine thought in awe.

Doomhunter saw the hybrid embrace another. If I strike now I'll be outnumbered... But this is the best shot I'm going to get* He flew out of the trees and used his enchanted tail barb and stabbed one of the hybrids (Shine) causing her to fall to the ground, paralyzed.

(The Rainwings aren't against it. Maybe individuals are but not the Queen)

Pine landed on a brach she surveyed the landscape and thought she heard someone yell.

Brimstone landed next to Pine.

Doomhunter was getting ready to stab the other hybrid.

She opened her mouth and exhaled poisonous gas into his.

She watched, satisfied, as he crumpled to the ground.

Doomhunter snarled. The Seawing hybrid had attacked him! He moved his tail trying to hit one of the hybrids.

Pine heard a growl. She rushed towards the source of the noise and saw a Sandwing-Nightwing hybrid who seemed to be trying to kill the hybrids that were already here.

Brimstone flew after Pine. She had heard the growl as well but paid it no attention until Pine raced after it.
