"Of course we did!" Tenshi snapped, a little more anger slipped
into her voice than she had meant, but she didn't correct herself.
"But she was fast, and I'm not stupid enough to rush into Guild
territory for the sake of a silly pikachu, or these idiot's pride."
"I can relate to that. Mostly I judge the other ruffians,
though..." Yami said quietly. Quite honestly, Yami didn't care much
for capturing prisoners and bringing them to base, but she knew how
to intimidate her enemies instead of creating the image of a bunch
of liquid brains, even if that was what they were.
Lucky went outside and stared across the border. He knew his
mother's murderer was probably feeling incredibly smug, still
denying his own crimes. He wondered about his sister. He hoped she
was being treated well, at least. He sighed.
Lucky looked up, seeing a Froslass and a Yveltal looking from their
side of the border. Just the sight of their black collars made him
growl, and his fiery eyes glared at them even though he knew they
probably didn't see him.
Oblivion scanned the border coldly. He didn't see Lucky at first.
Spirus was able to see him and pointed him out to Oblivion.
Oblivion watched him and decided he'd attack only if the Dratini
crossed semi-deeply into their territory that way he couldn't call
for help.
Lucky noticed he had been seen. He wanted to murder them more than
anything else, they were working with someone he dispised. They had
tortured a prisoner and now they were staring at him. He wondered
what they were thinking. Had they met his sister? Were they taking
after his father and were feeling good about the prospect of
attacking someone as weak- looking as him? Lastly, he wondered how
they, or any of the Outsiders, would think of him if they knew
excactly who his father was. He knew he had to attack or explode
with the energy building inside of him, for he was shaking now.
All of his training. It had to come to this. Most with a rational
mind would think this an unfair fight, but Lucky was different.
Weeks on end of never-ending training had prepared him. His type
weaknesses barely mattered. He boldly faced his archrivals, a
challenge clear in his eyes.
Reye thought she could smell Outsiders in the distance. The
mountain wind was blowing this way, so it wasn't surprising.
Glancing at the leaves on the trees, the Shaymin noted that Autumn
would arrive soon. She shivered at the anticipation of cold
weather, but Gracidea's appearance hadn't changed yet, so she
shouldn't expect it too soon.
Back at The Outsiders' base, Tenshi had left Yami to get some food
from the mealroom. It was around the time for food, and Tenshi's
internal clock knew the food would be stocked. Yami had insisted on
hunting for her own food. Tenshi had shrugged. Hunting was fun, but
it was only ever really done by her for sport. If you don't feel
like killing, why waste your time in the wilderness when the same
food was right there? They were more civilized than some pokemon in
a different habitat.
Reye aimed an energy ball at another target, she had decided to
practice her aim a little, even though it was at peak perfection.
Perhaps she was showing off, or maybe it wouldn't hurt to keep her
skills sharp. Being this cute and a Mythical Pokemon wouldn't solve
all her problems for her.
Meanwhile, Gracidea had woken up. He followed Reye's scent and met
her with sleepy eyes. He blinked away his drowsiness and decided to
practice as well. He attacked a tree with jump kick.
Reye gave the Sobbles a disgusted look. Couldn't they just get
their own berries? They must know water gun, at least. She used air
slash on the very tree, knocking Mago berries onto several of their
heads.
(Should I make a group chat for this roleplay...?)
Reye saw the sobbles and rolled her eyes. She figured they probably
wouldn't survive on their own, which must be why they followed that
Inteleon everywhere. She found a different tree and started
gathering berries, as she remembered they should prepare for Autumn
and then Winter.
