“I’ve tried! It’s just- it’s just too much!” She stood up and
slowly the pain went away. That experience opened a scar and added
to it, making her trauma worse.
“You think?” She said sarcastically. She gritted her teeth and
closed her eyes tightly. She was still in pain, but she could
withstand it. She was silently begging for Madison not to ask about
what happened in the scene.
“Why does it keep coming back... Why am I like this...” she said to
herself. She watched as the sun went down and began thinking about
Viden and Madison.
Viden laid on the cave floor. "I wonder, how did we come into
existence as a species? Mama always said it started with the
humans, but she always got teary eyed when getting to the next
part. She never finished the story, I wonder, was she a human at
some point?"
"Well, no use just laying around. Only one place will hold the

the small house. She looked at her daughter with a happy gleam in
