Aria landed at the shore next to Mai “Where have you been? Ah, with a friend I see... Well, we should go home. Your raven was getting anxious.” Mai flew home and saw Alex talking with Chio. She decided to say hi. “Hey Chio, Alex. Just stopping by. You guys okay? Need any help?” Mai asked. “Mai, come on, wouldn’t want the Raven to be worried.” Aria said. Mai decided to follow her request. “Sorry, I guess I have to go” Mai told them.

He stiffened, hoping that he wasn't too obvious. He wanted to bolt, but to flee provoked chase, and chase meant capture. He needed chip's info, but maybe may knew. "Hey, before you go, can you tell me where the crystal ceremony was held?"

“Oh sure. It’s in the cave over there. You will have to have a special type of magic to remove the entrance though. Only the leader can do that. Anything else before I go?” Mai said. She was unaware that not only Alex knew the location, but Aria did too. Alex has done the asking for her. Of course she had her own kind of ceremony, but she was already born with magic. It was more of a 16th birthday party kind of thing. She wanted to use the crystal against Mai and the other dragons. It could be her leverage.

No. He would not be stopped by magic. There. had. to. be. a. way. Maybe some powder had blown out. But no. If a dragon can't get in, wind couldn't either. But he could try. "So, does this barrier... open? I left something in there.

I don’t think there is any other way.” “Hey Aria, go wait in the meadow, I’ll meet you there.” Mai said. She wouldn’t go inside. That place gave her the creeps. She could make the speed stay with Alex as he went inside, just for him to get his stuff.

“Oh, I never thought of it that way. Well, I guess it is.” Mai said. “Well Alex, do you want to go now, or wait until later?” She instantly remembered something. She was breaking a rule, wasn’t she? She never wanted to be a rule breaker. But if Alex wasn’t going to ask the leader, what was he going to do?

Aria didn’t go to the meadow. She hid near the cave. She knew what Alex was planning, so she decided she could use him. Or, she could do it herself. She could convince Mai to let Aria in with Alex, and persuade him to help her get the crystal.

Alex decided that if Mai could phase him through, it would be enough. He had been prepared to enter with someone else. Once he got inside, he would grab some dust and leave. He couldn't grab the crystal if someone else was there, so he would have to settle with the small samples on the ground. "Yeah. Phase me in. I just need to check something first." He said to Mai. He reached into timelines for possible alternatives. He saw in a few timelines that everyone was dead, and the crystal had a major crack in the center.

she realized she hadn't said thanks to the stranger who got her here or even her name now that shed known how to get back she spread her wings out and took to the sky
