She swam around trying to get used to her Vaporeon form. She sees something in the distance and thinks its an enemy but it's just cute Horsea.

Gadian's ear fluff was more like a block of hay with how wet they were. He patted his cloak to squeeze them semi-dry and continued to shiver.

(People have gone underwater to investigate, end up finding a door that leads somewhere. People were able to breathe because of the Lucario's bubbles made from his aura, and the cave seems to stave off water.)
