"Emily?" he said, setting the
stack of papers aside. He thought for a moment before an Idea
struck him, searching his desk drawers for an empty notebook and
flipping to the first page, writing down the name.
It might be helpful if he kept notes, be it for future use or just
remembering things.
"So there was a fire..." he
said, adding that to the page. "Did Emily die in it, or was it
something else that actually killed her?" he questioned, to no one
in particular. "Perhaps it was merely something that caused a
separation?"
He scribbled down the possible causes, and reasons, waiting to see
if Patches would say something else that would confirm or debunk
any of them. He sat in his chair, leaning back and watching the
Skitmin with an odd intensity.
Lu can be a bit of a creep if he's
interested in something enough.
“House... Fire......collapsing.... please come back....
fire....everywhere.....”
*Both of Patches’ legs started to twitch*
“Can’t.....find her....... under...... rubble......”
He noted that down, unsure if
it was a killing factor just yet but, he had a sneaking suspicion
that it was. He closed the notebook and glanced up at Patches,
reaching out and petting them gently to help soothe them.
No matter whether he wanted to learn or not, nothing deserved such
a restless sleep. He would wait until tomorrow to learn
more.
"Shh... It's time to sleep now.
No more nightmares..." He said, whispering a short spell. His hand
glowed for a second, imparting some more... peaceful dreams for
Patches.
*Glich was still in bed, Patches however, they aren’t on the desk
anymore. It seems like they left somewhere. They walked into
Glich’s room and jump onto the bed and slept next to them. They
felt more safe near them, just like how their friend did.*
Lu awoke and stretched, sitting
up and yawning. With a quick glance he noticed that Patches was
gone. He grumbled something to himself and got up, heading
downstairs to make a cup of coffee.
Aww... heck. I wanted to a middle of
the night thing. But, I suppose it can wait for the next
night.
*Glich finally starts to wake up, sitting up and stretching their
arms. They noticed something is holding on to their arm and when
the look down they see Patches’ vine holding onto them while they
sleep.*
Glich:..how did you get here buddy..
*you try pushing the vine off, seems like it’s not budging,
sigh*
Glich:Alright then.. guess you’re coming with me now...
*Glich pick up the skitmin and carries it in their arms*
Glich:we are going down stairs... I need something to drink...
*Patches grip got tighter as the two went down the stairs*
Glich:ok that’s kinda hurting...
*They finally made it down stairs and saw Luciel sitting at the
kitchen table*
Glich:erm...morning Luciel...
He seemed to flinch slightly as
if he had been startled and looked over at you. "Morning." he said,
his voice gravelly and blank sounding. He returned to staring out
of the window after a few moments passed, resting his head on his
hands.
*Their grip gotten more tighter*
Glich:ow ow ow ow that hurts... yup that hurts...
*Glich tries to remove the vine but they couldn’t*
Glich:uhh... Luciel... I think I need help.. They aren’t letting go
of my arm... despite them still sleeping...
He glanced back over at you and
gave a slow blink, seeming to process what you said before getting
up and walking over. He placed a hand on Patches' back and muttered
out the same spell as last night, waiting to see if that had done
the trick.
*Glich glances at the coffee pot at the back*
Glich:you’re making coffee aswell?
*They set the cat down on the table, letting out a tired sigh*
Glich:...old...owner? What happened? Did they told you anything
about them?
