Angell looks slightly hurt “I just wanted you guys safe... In case I actually had to sacrifice myself. I wanted everybody safe. As a team I didn’t want to hurt any of you. I don’t have much control.”

You can actually here emotion in Angell’s voice unlike before

He opened a portal to the void and pulled everyone but Angell through, as he was stepping into the void he looked over his shoulder to Angell.
