We all have movies that we really like, but when we look them up, they're really hated by critics and other people.

So, what are some movies you love but nearly everyone else hates them?

REMEMBER: Please respect other people and the movies they like, they like that movie, not you, so it's not your job to argue about it with them.

For me, it'd have to be The Nut Job and its sequel (Don't judge me). The main complaint I've seen about it is that the protagonist isn't very likeable, but he redeems himself in the end and learns another lesson in the sequel. Most of the complaining I've seen for it has came from people who haven't even WATCHED it. It's not a movie for everyone, but I really liked it and I just love animals in general.
I'm awesome!
And all those who are making suggestions that will make PH safer, I agree with you and thank you.

Critics as well as many other people seemed to dislike the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot quite a lot, but to be completely honest, I actually enjoyed it. :D I just found it entertaining and fun.

The first that come to mind are the Michael Bay Transformers movies. They've definitely received some valid criticism and there's some cringy things that become worse with every rewatch. But I've found them to be sufficiently fun movies when I just focus on my inner child who just wants to watch big robots fight and wreck everything and ooooh BIG EXPLOSIONS.

...I guess that alone could be used as a criticism for the movies. x,D

In general, I'm pretty easy to entertain so movies with a half-decent plot, characters that are likable (or at least not annoying as heck), and action/something interesting going on will probably be good enough for me.

I enjoyed the Nut Job too, granted it's not the best movie out there but it's a fun one to watch with the family. The sequel was a bit weird though.

Despicable Me is awesome. The sequel is Ok, and the third one feels unneccasary. I feel like the minions overshadowed the good stuff about the first movie. The first movie is funny, has some good moments and some good lessons too, it was definitely not what i expected to see when we first started watching it. It does have it's problems though, but I don't think it's super bad.

I tend to not be much of a critic when it comes to some of the movies I watch, I also enjoy a lot of family movies and even some you'd consider mainly for kids, just because of the humor and references. (or the fact I grew up with the characters)

I like the Mortal Kombat movies- even Annihilation! They're campy because they're supposed to be campy! Mortal Kombat is bloody, but not supposed to be taken too seriously. It's only the Netherrealm era that made it more serious of a game- in the beginning all there was to it was bash your opponent until his head and spine fall out, and the movies came in that era.
That's why I said 'Hey, man, nice shot!'

I hecking loved the newest My Little Pony movie. The ponies exploring much farther than Equestria kept me in the movie theater until it was over. No breaks for anything.

The ratings are pretty bad.

While it's not exactly hated, I honestly enjoyed Big Hero 6. While I understand the criticisms for the movie, I will argue against the people that claim that Frozen is better than Big Hero 6. (Not saying that Frozen is a bad movie, just saying that to me, the comparing it to Frozen doesn't really feel fair)
