Lunara’s wings fluttered before she streaked for the stairs, nearly tripping over herself in her haste. The corridor doorway slammed shut, echoing in the resulting silence. Her soft sobs echoed through the mahogany wood.

he takes a sip of the tea, and he calms down. "why..." he says walking to lunaras room. "lunara, im sorry...." he said putting his hand on the door.

The door creaks open and Lunara peers at him cautiously from under the sheets, trembling. Her wings are cradled protectively around her.

It wasn't pain in her too-wide eyes.

it was fear.
