I’m better at magic than I used to be, it doesn’t mean I’m the best though.” She looks down at their hands and blushes making her face turn a slightly blue shade in the evening light, “You don’t use your magic like I do though. But you can melt through any crystals I’ve made so far.”


Ilyce looks at Flicker, “Are you okay? I just sort of ran away and left you there with Andy. And I had just made a great speech and then left. I’m sorry.”

“I don’t fight like you do though. I can keep us covered with magic if you can handle fighting for the both us. I have faith in your ability to do that though.” Soraya cuddles into Drago.

“I feel like I should have stayed. I don’t do good when I’m surprised though.” Ilyce closes her eyes, “If you choose to become the king I’ll support you, and I’d be happy to be your queen. And if you choose to be normal like me I’ll help you learn how to survive, and I’d still be thrilled to marry you. But either way it would need to be a few years before that happens. At least I’d like to date for a few years before that.”

“Okay let’s get ready to kill her. She needs to pay for what she’s done, and then she’ll have to answer to Freeze in the otherside. I’m sure he won’t let her off easily either.” Ilyce squeezes Flickers hand, “All we need is a leader to guide us in our training and against her. Do you know where we can find someone to do that?” She laughs at her own sarcasm.

“Oh. Wow. I didn’t know I was so full of determination.” Ilyce looks down, “If everyone is going to train we probably should get out of a tree.”

Soraya sighs, “You’re more affectionate than I was prepared for. I’m afraid for anyone or anything that tries to hurt me. I mean before they just ran the risk of being trapped in crystal, now they’re probably going to be a pile of ash.”

“Now I have to keep you away from volcanoes too. Or at least keep everyone else around us safe from being hit with lava.” Soraya gives Drago a stern look, “Please don’t hurt the humans. We need to get them to like us other than wanting to research us.”

Ilyce sighs and flips off of the branch she had been on and makes her way out of the tree, “I feel like there was a missed opportunity in the tree but I’m okay with it.”

“The fact that I’ve healed you two times since we’ve arrived says otherwise.” Soraya looks up when she hears two soft thuds, “Even if one of the times was justified, it’s two more times than I’ve been in an actual fight with them.”

Ilyce looks over at Soraya and Drago, “Well the dragons are there. Everyone else should be inside. I haven’t seen anyone else leaving.”

Soraya raises and eyebrow as she looks at Drago, “I’m very hesitant to believe that but okay. I’m going to keep you to that.” She looks over at Ilyce and Flicker, “You could start by making amends with him.”


Ilyce is looking at Flicker, “I might not have a good sense of direction but I am aware of my surroundings. I’m not entirely helpless, Flicker.”

Ilyce looks at Drago and Flicker, “That wasn’t super convincing, but I’m not the one you fought with.” She walks away, “Just don’t kill each other while you do this!” She waves not turning around to look at them, “Soraya, right? I could use your help with something.” She takes the dragon girls arm and walks into the lab with her. Soraya just shrugs and follows Ilyce.

"Okay just take a seat there." Ilyce gestures towards a stool, "I just want to borrow some blood to use in an experiment. I just need to set up my equipment again, this might actually be a minute. So uh, how protective is Drago? Am I going to be in danger while I do this?" She turns around and sees that Soraya made a chair out of crystal.

Soraya sighs, "If I act like I'm in danger, you're probably in danger. Your boyfriend would keep you safe though. How long is it going to take for all of this?"
