Melanie was in the forest searching for a pokemon to catch, a few minutes later she sees a cottonblu and challanges it. "Go raven!" Then the ralts got out of its pokeball and saw the cottonblu using cotton spore.

(Hey look a time skip to the end of the gym battle)

Ansia skips out of the gym and towards the Pokécenter, the new badge is pinned on her purse next to her first badge. “Valen I’m so proud of you! You have to be getting close to evolving soon.”

Ansia comes out of the center and looks over to where Luna is and then to the docks, "Hmm. I kinda want to move on to the next town, but I don't think we've all challenged the gym yet." She notices an old house with fishing poles, "I'll go check that out."

Ansia leaves the building she had gone in and Valen was following her, "Wow that guy was obsessed with fishing. I mean he gave me his old fishing rod, which was nice I guess? I can get some water types now." She heads for the pier to fish.

"This is actually super boring." She sighs.

“I give up!” She stands up and throws the rod into the ocean, “I’m going to the next town.” She gets on the boat and leaves Dewford.
