Ninetales, its design screams awesome, it can learn epic moves like Fire Blast and Solarbeam (I think).

And for legendaries, Dialga. Because:
It controls time
It was the first legendary I EVER caught (my first playthrough was Pokemon Diamond!)
It reminds me of some kind of bulky dog, and I LOVE dogs.
It has its very own dimension.
It can fly.

The one I would NEVER dare to turn into would be Magby, for one reason:

Why: It is best and can control fire. I would love to be a shiny cyndaquil or a shiny typhlosion.
